The actress in a bid to show that her marriage is still intact, took to Facebook to gush about her man. He replied with the words, “Na wa o, Them wan crash am for me now now now? Abeg o, there’s nothing like that. This is the first time I’m hearing that. I don’t have a problem with my husband. We are still together.” Ibinabo told Yes! International magazine

Yay! It’s Asa’s Birthday. Let’s Celebrate Her! Posted: 17 Sep 2015 06:30 AM PDT Soul singer, songwriter and recording artist, Asa is a year older today! Born Bukola Elemide, Aṣa was born in Paris, France to her Nigerian parents on the 17th of September, 1982. Her family returned to live in Nigeria when she was two. Aṣa grew up in Alagbole, a border town in Ogun state near Lagos, in the south-western part of Nigeria. Twenty years later, Aṣa returned to Paris where her life as an artist took off. Her stage name “Aṣa” means “Hawk” in Yoruba. Asa developed an interest and inspiration in music following her fathers fine collection of records featuring soul classics and Nigerian music, including Marvin Gaye, Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Aretha Franklin, King Sunny Adé, Ebenezer Obey and Lagbaja. In 2004, Aṣa met her manager and friend, Janet, who introduced her to Cobhams Emmanuel Asuquo, who in turn became her musical partner and producer. The release of the album ‘ASA’ saw her win the prestigious French Constantin Award in 2008, where she was voted best fresh talent of 10 singers or groups by a jury of 19 music-industry specialists in Paris. Her second album, Beautiful Imperfection, was released on 25 October 2010. The lead single from Beautiful Imperfection is titled “Be My Man” and was released in late September. A video for the song was released in mid-October. She also performed with Féfé at the Sydney Festival in 2011.

Di’ja proves that there is no easy way to success by revealing all the things she had to do to get to where she is right now. Di’ja who is signed to Mavins Record headed by Don Jazzy recently revealed all this during an interview on her Coke Studio Africa session. According to her, some of the jobs she did before she blew up were: waitressing & being a mascot at children’s parties to fund her music.
