Sallah: NEMA Provides Relief to IDPs in Border TownsAs Muslims celebrate the Islamic Festival of Eid-Kabir (Sallah), the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has provided truckloads of relief materials to internally displaced persons along Nigeria's borders.

The NEMA's North-East zonal office delivered some of the items in Diffa, a border town in Niger Republic which is hosting IDPS from Nigeria hitherto residing in communities along the Nigeria/Niger border like shettimari and Gagamari.

Some of the items delivered to the IDPS included tents, clothing, cooking utensils and food items.

The team was received by Le secretaire General of Diffa Hassan Ardo Ide on behalf of the Government of Niger Republic .

The relief distribution is in continuation of the strategic efforts of the agency to reachout and provide sucour to internally displaced persons living along the border towns.
