On Religious Tolerance, Co-operation
The
chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rivers State chapter, Bro Felix
Obuah has enjoined Muslims in the State to continue to observe the principles
of piety that characterizes the Islam while showing love, co-operation and
tolerance to other religions.
This
was contained in the message of solidarity and congratulations to the Muslims
to commemorate the Eid-El-Kabir celebration sent to the entire Muslim community
in the State and signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Jerry
Needam.
Bro
Obuah said the Eid-El-Kabir celebration offers yet another opportunity to
reflect on our relationship with God and by extension, our fellow beings, and
to ensure that we make the best use of the life we live today to make our
society a better place for all.
He
also enjoined all to join hands in the spirit of the Eid-El-Kabir to support the
administration of Governor Nyesom Wike to actualize his development plans for
the State which are already on course.
“We
still remain brothers and sisters irrespective of our different religions
having come from same God and can only reciprocate our Creator’s love by loving
one another and obeying constituted authorities to enable them lead us well.
We
wish to reassure you of government’s good intentions and plans to promote the
welfare of all persons and groups among whom the Muslims are the top priority
in the State.
I
urge you to remain calm, peaceful and purposeful and may the Almighty Allah
continue to guide you to serve him and humanity respectfully”, the State PDP
boss prayed.
