Don't Let the Devil Put One Over on You - Copeland

Don't Let the Devil Put One Over on You
When [the devil] speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
– John 8:44

Some people find it difficult to believe God’s promises because they’ve seen so many things in the natural world that seem to contradict them. They’ve seen faithful tithers go broke. They’ve seen sick Christians fail to receive their healing.

In reality, it would be more accurate to say that they think they’ve seen those things. Because, you see, there’s a deceiver at work in the world. A deceiver who’s busily doing the same thing he’s been doing ever since the Garden of Eden: tricking mankind into believing God’s Word isn’t true.

And, after working on it for thousands of years, he’s a master at it. Think about that the next time he tries to make things look as though God’s Word is not going to work for you, when he makes it look like all hope is lost. Say, “I don’t care about appearances. I believe the Word and I refuse to doubt it.”

Let me show you what I mean. Have you ever seen a magic show where someone crawls inside a box and then is sawn in half? You can see it with your own two eyes. The guy’s feet are sticking out one end of the box and his head is poking out the other, and the box is plainly cut in two. Then the magician slides the two halves back together and the sawed-apart fellow jumps out of the box in one piece.

Now tell me, did you really believe, even for a moment, that fellow was truly cut in half? Of course not! You knew that you’d seen a trick, a deception, something that appeared one way when, in reality, it was a different way altogether. You may not have known how it was done. You may not have been able to explain it. But you knew a person couldn’t be sawn in half, then put back together, so you refused to believe your eyes.

That’s exactly the way you need to be where the Word of God is concerned. You need to learn to trust it and rely on it to such an extent that when Satan shows you something in the natural world that appears to contradict it, you just say, “Well, I saw that, but I’m not going to be gullible enough to believe it. I’m just going to stick with the Word.”

If you’ll do that, the father of lies will never be able to put one over on you.

You Are the Worst Nigerian Leader - CAN tells Buhari

ISLAMIST INSURGENTS: PUSHING NIGERIA OFF THE EDGE OF THE PRECIPICE

Gentlemen of the Press,

I welcome you all to this press conference in the precious and wonderful name of Our Redeemer and Savior, Jesus. The last press conference I addressed was in January over the state of insecurity in the country where we brought to the fore, the failure of the security agencies to rise to the challenges of ending sustained killings by the Fulani herdsmen, the Boko Haram terrorists, the armed
banditry, the kidnappers and the armed robbers. These criminals have been operating with impunity, leaving a strong impression that the security architecture in Nigeria has collapsed. There is also the suspicion that the entire security system of Nigeria is compromised.

Unarguably, lawlessness and impunity are reigning supreme in Nigeria,
while the country is fast heading to chaos and anomie. It has never
been this bad in the country that had lived relatively peacefully
since independence.

The sad angle to it is that the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari
is not giving majority of Nigerians an impression of being deeply
touched by the turn of events. He has been acting complacent and
indeed unmoved by the reign of terror that his administration has
permitted since the past three years of being the President. Most
painfully, the President seems to depend on his media aides to make
responses, which often times had no bite on widespread bloodletting
across the federation, most especially in the Middle Belt part of the
country.

Over the past few days, Fulani herdsmen, bandits, gunmen and others had mowed
down more than 300 people in cold blood only in Benue state. On 24/42018, 19 people including two Catholic Priests were brutally killed in Gwer Local Government area, 25/4/18 23 people killed in Guma Local Government, 26/4/1827 seven people were killed in logo 26/4/18 five people killed in Guma Local government area. local government while the
figure continues to rise by the day. This is not to talk about
numerous innocent citizens that were killed in states like Adamawa,
Taraba, Kogi, Plateau and others in the southern region of Nigeria.

War seems to be looming in Nigeria while the aggressors are no other than
misguided individuals who had been armed to provoke different
communities into needless battles. Yet, President Buhari, who was
popularly elected in 2015 has not seen the need and urgency to issue a
presidential order on need to halt the killings and with stern
instruction to heads of security operatives to bring perpetrators to
book. The Dark Age that has come with the Administration of President
Buhari in Nigeria is giving the Christians in this country a huge concern. The development is
making we the leaders to shudder and ask where lies the interest of
the President, really? All the same, Mr President has his own
interests, key of which is to seek re-election to remain in power beyond
2019 and continue with the reign of terror in Nigeria. It does not
matter how many Nigerians will end up as sacrificial lamb on that
single ambition!

With heavy heart and unquantifiable sorrow, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) welcomes you to this Press Conference. To say that we are sad and grieved would be an understatement at the blatant treachery, treason and unpatriotic actions of some of our fellow citizens. Our pains are multiple fold and we are baffled that in the 21st Century, we could still have human beings whose worldview is locked in backward and retrogressive beliefs and culture.
On the one hand, we are in sorrow because we are daily bereaved of our members, Christians, who are serially murdered by Islamic insurgents. On the other hand, we are in shock and disbelief that citizens of this country, most of who went to school and are supposed to be civilized and rational human beings could blatantly legalize murder based on retrogressive worldview. Daily, Islamic religious extremists in Nigeria, backed by powerful and influential people in Government, with impunity, commit acts of treason that jeopardize the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Nigeria.
Since 2008, the terrorist group Boko Haram has been unleashing terror and death in Nigeria. Rather than abate, it was joined by Fulani herdsmen and recently, the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security units have collaborated with the insurgents all in a bid to promote one religion and one culture over all the other religions and cultures in Nigeria. We have discovered that the main roots of the insurgency in Nigeria are two factors:
1. The Doctrine of Hate taught in the various Mosques and Islamic Madrasas in northern Nigeria.
2. The Supremacist Ideology of the Fulani ethnic group.
These two factors are responsible for the river of blood that is flowing all over Nigeria. The Christian Association of Nigeria is compelled therefore, to call on all citizens of Nigeria as well as the international community to observe that Nigeria is on a free fall to disintegration.

A CATALOGUE OF MURDER AND DESTRUCTION
Time and space would not permit me to list chronologically the horrendous report of death and murder sponsored by the Islamists of northern Nigeria since the 1970s. However, it would be necessary to refresh our memory with some of the gory occurrences in recent times.
In the past few months, there have been Islamist insurgent attacks on Benue, Taraba, Plateau, Yobe, Borno, Nasarawa, Enugu, Imo, Abia, Rivers, Ogun and Oyo States. The Islamists and their agents have extended their trail of blood and destruction to Bwari in Abuja and Ilorin in Kwara State. On Christmas Day, 2017, Christian community in Bwari, Abuja was attacked; several lives were lost while business locations of Christians were burnt down. All these were done with full security “protection” as it were, for the attackers, according to eye-witnesses report.  On New Year’s Day in 2018, Christians observing “watch-night” service in Ilorin were attacked and three Churches were burnt. Again, the Security Agents did not intervene until the attackers had finished their horrendous assignment.
This pattern suggests collusion of the Security Units with the Islamists militia operating under such names as Fulani herdsmen, Boko Haram, “unknown gunmen”, and “group of vandals”. On 17th January, 2017, the Nigerian Air Force “accidentally”, in broad daylight, bombed a Christian IDP Camp and killed over 200 Christian refugees in Rann, Kala-Balge Local Government in Borno State. In December 2017, an Air Force spokes person confirmed that the Nigerian Air Force sent an Alpha Jet and an EC 135 attack Helicopter to fire “warning” shots at Islamist militia attacking Christians in Numan, Adamawa, but not to kill them! The villagers were later to report that the Jet actually bombed the Christian villages resulting in the death of over 50 people, while, the Nigerian Air Force said it merely fired warning shots at the Islamist militia attacking the villagers.
Twice in 2018, the Benue State Government has conducted mass burials publicly. The Government of Taraba state has had to publicly denounce the Nigerian military of colluding with insurgents to attack Christians in Taraba State. The situation became so tense that Elder Statesman, General T. Y. Danjuma publicly called on Nigerians to defend themselves as it is clear the Security Unity are incapable of doing so.
As these attacks are going on, school girls in Chibok and Dapchi, both in northern Nigeria were abducted. To date, four years after the abduction of mostly Christian female students in Chibok, 113 of the girls are yet to be released. A recent news report insists that 98 out of the remaining 113 girls are dead. In Dapchi, all the girls who professed Islam as religion were brought back safely by the Islamist insurgents while 15 years old Leah Sharibu, who held on to her Christian faith, remained in captivity.
On Tuesday, 24th April, 2018, Rev. Fathers Joseph Gor and Felix Tyolaha, with 17 members of the Catholic Church were murdered during worship service in St. Ignatius Quasi Parish Ukpor-Mbalom, Makurdi, Benue State. Again, the security forces are unable to effect any arrest.
All these are going on under the full glare of a democratically elected President who took an oath to defend and uphold the Constitution of Nigeria. Section 14 (2) b of the Constitution declares: “the security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government:” It is clear that the security and welfare of the people is NOT the primary purpose of this government in power.

WHAT IS GOING ON IN NIGERIA?
We affirm that JIHAD has been launched in Nigeria by Islamists of northern Nigeria. There is an intentional and deliberate agenda to impose Islam as the only religion in Nigeria and supplant the Constitution with Sharia as the source of legislation. The promoters of Islamization want to eradicate Liberal Democracy as the National Ideology and replace it with Sharia ideology. Even though the current Administration has been strenuously denying this, its actions and inactions, confirm that this is the truth. Every denial by this Administration is nothing but display of “Taqiyya”, which is approved deception in Islam.
Abukabar Shekau, the leader of Boko Haram, provides undeniable insight into the Islamization Agenda when he stated as follows in 2012:
“… This war is not political. It is religious. It is between Muslims and unbelievers (arna). It will stop when Islamic religion is the determinant in governance in Nigeria or, in the alternative, when all fighters are annihilated and no one is left to continue the fight. I warn all Muslims at this juncture that any Muslim who assists an unbeliever in this war should consider himself an unbeliever and should consider himself dead.”

We equally affirm that the ongoing Jihad is the continuation of the Othman Dan Fodio Jihad which was halted in 1804 by the British Colonialists. It is clear that there is a Fulani Supremacist Ideology behind the current Islamization Agenda in Nigeria. This is confirmed by the unconstitutional appointments of mostly Fulanis by the President to head nearly all units in Security as well as in Education.
Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) is holding three entities responsible for the large scale murder going on in Nigeria. They are as follows:

PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI
President Buhari was elected on a wave of unprecedented public approval in 2015. Unfortunately, within a few weeks of his election, he started creating the impression that he was in power to serve the interests of his Fulani ethnic group only. Discerning people were quick to note that contrary to his electoral promises, he actually meant to pursue core Islamist agenda. Almost every vital appointment in Security and Education went to Muslims from the North. He did not hide his disdain for the indigenous ethnic nationalities and, at every opportunity, showed preferential treatment to the Muslim North.
Under President Buhari, the murderous Fulani herdsmen enjoyed unprecedented protection and favoritism to the extent that the herdsmen treat Nigeria as a conquered territory. Rather than arrest and prosecute the Fulani herdsmen, security forces usually manned by Muslims from the North offer them protection as they unleash terror with impunity on the Nigerian people.
The bottom line is that President Buhari failed woefully to protect Nigerians. He willfully permitted the Fulani herdsmen to operate killing people, destroying communities wholesale, destroying farmlands and turning the entire Middle Belt into “killing fields”, all the while enjoying government protection from counter attack, arrest or prosecution.
By failing to curb the attacks of the Fulani herdsmen President Buhari has failed to uphold Section 14, (2)b in the Constitution that “the security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government:”
Through his partial, sectional and discriminatory appointments, particularly in Security and Education, President Buhari violated Section 14, Para. 3 “The composition of the Government of the Federation or any of its agencies and the conduct of its affairs shall be carried out in such a manner as to reflect the federal character of Nigeria and the need to promote national unity, and also to command national loyalty, thereby ensuring that there shall be no predominance of persons from a few State or from a few ethnic or other sectional groups in that Government or in any of its agencies.”

MIYETTI ALLAH CATTLE BREEDERS ASSOCIATION
The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association is supposed to be a business group much like many other businesses and professional groups in the country. However, the MACBAN differs from any other business group in that it combines bloodshed with enterprise.
The Fulani herdsmen are clearly associated with MACBAN and the officials of MACBAN are noted to make very inciting statements before and after the Fulani herdsmen attack vulnerable communities. In the recent attacks on Benue State, the President of Benue Branch of Miyetti Allah, Garus Gololo said they attacked the communities because 1,000 of their cows were stolen. Even if it was true that cows were stolen, who constituted Miyetti Allah into law enforcement agency, judge and jury to commit wholesale murder?
In another account, Miyetti Allah called a Press Conference in which it stated it would not abide with the anti-open grazing law of Benue State Government. The Chief Press Secretary to the Benue State Government, Terve Akase believes that the attacks on Benue State on 1st and 2nd January, 2018 were in reaction to the grazing law enacted by the Benue State Government.
Miyetti Allah has openly rejected anti-open grazing bills in Taraba, Plateau and Benue States. In May 2017, the National President of Miyetti Allah, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo and the National Secretary Engineer Saleh Alhassan openly declared at a Press Conference that the introduction of anti-open grazing bill in some states is a recipe for anarchy. Are we now to conclude that a business group has supremacy over State Governments?

In view of the foregoing, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), on behalf of all Christians in Nigeria who collectively constitute well above 50% of the population of this country, resolves as follows:

1. In very strong terms, CAN condemn the inability of the President Muhammadu Buhari Administration to curb and stop the murderous activities of Islamic insurgents in the country. Christian Association of Nigeria calls on the President of Nigeria to immediately take steps to permanently dismantle both Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen.
2. CAN also condemns in equally strong terms the violation of the Federal Character Principle in appointments in Security and Education by the Buhari Administration and calls on the National Assembly to fulfill its mandate by reversing the appointments made by President Buhari. The supremacy of the Constitution must be upheld by the National Assembly.
3. All Christian assemblies in and outside Nigerian shall observe a Sunday of Christian Mourning and Protest on Sunday 29th April, 2018. All Christian Assemblies are required to protest round their neighborhood about the killings of Christians and also demand the immediate release of Leah Sharibu and the remaining girls from Chibok still in captivity.
4. Nigerian Christian assemblies, particularly all those in Diaspora are requested to obtain a copy of this Press Release and read it publicly on Sunday 29th April, 2018 at all locations worldwide. All Churches are encouraged to ensure adequate media coverage.
5. The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association should be banned for promoting terror and bloodshed in the country. In addition, the officials of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association should be arrested and prosecuted for murder. By their public statements, they have  confirmed that they are directly responsible for the murderous activities of the Fulani herdsmen.
6. Every Nigerian of voting age should ensure he/she is registered and obtain the Permanent Voters Card in readiness for the 2019 Election. Nigerians must vote into power a Political Party that will promote Democracy which translates to Justice, Equity, and Fairness for all.
7. CAN support the call of the National Christian Elders Forum (NCEF) for the setting up of Truth and Reconciliation Commission as platform to providing healing for the country and rebuilding trust and confidence.

God bless Nigeria.

It's Beginning to Rain - Copeland

It's Beginning to Rain
Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
– Joel 2:23

There’s a spiritual flood coming. God has promised it. He’s promised us an outpouring of Holy Spirit power that will bring in the greatest harvest of souls any of us have ever seen.

As believers, we’ve been reading about it in the Word and hearing about it from the pulpit for years. We’ve been staring toward heaven so long, waiting for it to come, that we’ve gotten cricks in our spiritual necks. We’ve had this mental image of God pouring down His Spirit from some sort of big heavenly pitcher above us.

But you know what? We’ve been looking in the wrong direction!

The pitchers God is going to use to pour out His power are right here on earth. Jesus explained it this way. “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water” (John 7:38).

The end-time flood we’ve all been expecting is going to be composed of living waters that will pour forth from believers. The Holy Spirit within us will be the source of all the signs and wonders and miracles the prophets foretold. And when we begin to fervently pray the prayer of intercession, the flood of that power will begin to flow.

Zechariah 10:1 says, “Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.”

Our prayers, our intercession, are what will release the great outpouring of God’s Spirit. As we begin to join together and cry out to God, the rivers of living water within each one of us will join together and become a flood of spiritual power in the earth.

So, ask, pray for a Holy Ghost gully-washer. Intercede for the outpouring. Make this mighty flood of spiritual power a priority in your prayer life.

Glory to God, it’s already beginning to rain!

Inside Out - Copeland

Inside Out
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
– 2 Corinthians 3:18

Have you ever thought about the fact that man is the only creature God created who has to wear clothing to cover himself? All the other creatures grow their own coverings. Some grow fur, some feathers, others scales or leathery hide. But all are clothed from the inside out!

Most people don’t realize it, but in the beginning, man was clothed that way too. He was made in the image of God. And, if you’ll look in Ezekiel 8:2, you’ll find that God is clothed in fire from the loins up and from the loins down. That fire is His glory emanating outward from His innermost being.

When man was first created, he was like that too. He was covered with the very glory of God. It radiated from his inner being outward. That’s why he had no sense of nakedness until after he sinned and the glory departed from him.

It was a tragic day when man lost that glorious covering. But I want you to know something today. It’s not lost forever. The Word of God says we can gain it back.

You see, when you put your faith in the blood of Jesus and were born again, the glory of God once again took up residence in you. It may be well-hidden right now, but believe me, it’s in there.

And the Bible says that as you gaze into the Lord’s face by studying the Word and fellowshiping with Him, as you renew your mind to understand who you are in Christ, you’ll be changed into His image on the outside as well. As you learn to hear His voice and obey it, you’ll start giving outward expression of the glory within you. Little by little, you’ll be turned inside out!

Instead of simply staring into your closet every morning, spend some time gazing at Jesus and beholding His Word. Let Him clothe you in His radiant presence. Once His glory starts shining through, anything you wear will look beautiful on you.

Nigeruan Youths Are Not Lazy - Atiku replies Buhari

I will never refer to Nigeria's youth as people who sit and do nothing. They are hardworking. I should know, I have thousands of youths working for me all over the country who have been the backbone to our success.

‬I’ve always said oil is not Nigeria’s greatest asset. Our greatest asset is our youth‬ who created Nollywood out of nothing and an entertainment industry that is second to none in Africa.

Our youth are charting new frontiers; creating a huge tech industry on their own! Their entrepreneurial spirit, work ethic, and creative abilities are things of pride and should be applauded, encouraged and nurtured.
- Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar

Be of Good Cheer - Copeland

Be of Good Cheer
And now I exhort you to be of good cheer.
– Acts 27:22

What do you do when you’re in a really perilous situation?

If you’re like I used to be, you cry out to God in desperation. One afternoon when I was squalling to God about something, He interrupted me and said, Kenneth, did you know I don’t hear the cry of My children when they cry out in desperation?

“What?” I said. “I thought You did.”

He said, No, I hear the desperation cry of a sinner because that’s all he can cry about. But once you get born again, son, you ought to be crying out of faith. I hear the faith cry.

What is a faith cry? It’s calling things that be not as though they were (Romans 4:17). It’s what the Bible means when it says, “…Let the weak say, I am strong” (Joel 3:10).

The Apostle Paul knew how to use the faith cry. That’s why, in Acts 27, he exhorted the men on that battered, sinking ship to “be of good cheer.” He was telling them to start acting by faith. Can’t you imagine what those sailors thought when he said that? Listen to that stupid preacher. We’re sinking and he says be of good cheer. We’ve thrown everything we have overboard and he says be of good cheer.

You may feel just like those sailors did, right now. You may feel like your ship’s going down. You may feel like crying out in desperation. But don’t do it. Instead, do what Paul said and be of good cheer!

Cry out to God in faith and say, “Lord, I’m not going to panic. I’m not going to despair. I’m going to be of good cheer because Your Word says You’ll deliver me from this situation” (Psalm 34:19).

Then start being cheerful. It may take more determination than anything you’ve ever done before, but God will give you the strength to do it. He’ll give you the power to be cheerful in the middle of the most ungodly darkness the devil can bring up.

Instead of crying out in desperation, take a faith stand. Sing and rejoice and praise God for your deliverance. Be of good cheer and you can be sure God will bring you through the storm just fine!

CAN Condemns Invasion of the Senate

CAN Plateau State Chapter on the Show of Shame at the Senate.

CAN Plateau State Chapter joins all concerned Nigerians in expressing disgust on what can be described as the height of shame and insecurity in Nigeria as exhibited yesterday the 18th April 2018 by the so called hoodlums. For Nigerians and indeed the International Community to watch some people invading proudly into the hallowed chamber and carted away the Mace which is the symbol of the authority of the legistature  is to confirm that all is not well in our country and nobody is safe anymore. Infact the Senate President or the Speaker  House of Representatives could easily have been picked away too! CAN Plateau State Chapter sees the invation as not only a show of shame to the Senate but a National embrassment to the entire country. It is also a red signal that our security system is rapidly deteriorating.
CAN condemns in very strong terms the action and calls upon Nigerians to allow democracy and rule of law to take their course. Politics as is being practice in Nigeria is becoming more and more retrogressive than progressive.
No matter the grievances, no matter the point someone wanted to make and no matter what and want --- what happened yesterday was and is uncall for, it was illegal, immature and shameful. It is not a demonstration of brevity but crass foolishness as there are better ways to solve our differences.
CAN calls on the security agents NOT TO ONLY RECOVER THE MACE but to bring the perpetrators and their collaborators of the shameful act to public view, and to be made to face the full wrath of the law.
CAN calls on the National Assembly to strengthen their security to avoid any possible recurrence of this type of national embarrassment.
CAN commends the House of Representatives for their show of solidarity.

PRAYERS THAT PROCLAIM - Joseph Prince

But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.”
Luke 13:12
- APRIL 18 -
PRAYERS THAT PROCLAIM
When you have a need, do you pray or do you plead? Do you begin your prayers with words like, “Please God, please! God, I beg You to have mercy!”

Prayers that plead and beg imply that your heavenly Father is not willing to do it. Yet, He is far more gracious and willing to give to you than you are willing to ask, think or imagine. (Ephesians 3:20) He desires above all things that you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. (3 John 1:2)

In fact, long before you have a need, God has already met that need. Long before you knew you needed a Savior, He sent His Son to be your Savior. This is your God! He is a good God. So when you beg Him for something, you are actually saying that He is reluctant to give and needs to be persuaded strongly before He will move. Yet, He is not like that.

Jesus knew the heart of the Father. When He saw the woman bound with a spirit of infirmity, He did not pray, “Oh Father! She has been suffering for 18 long years! I beseech You, Father, have mercy on her. Please, please heal her!” No, when Jesus saw her, He immediately proclaimed, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity,” because He knew the heart of the Father. He knew that the Father wanted her delivered from her crippling condition.

At the end of a church service, I don’t stand and pray, “Oh God, please bless Your people. Oh God, do keep them. Oh God, be ever so gracious to them!” Instead, I proclaim, “The Lord bless you. The Lord keep you. The Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you!”

Beloved, when you pray, proclaim your healing, protection and provision because your Father’s heart overflows with love for you. And when you declare it, He sanctions it. When you declare it, He establishes it!

Throw Open the Door - Copeland

Throw Open the Door
Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money [in].... And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites.... And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them...this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
– Mark 12:41-44

Have you ever wanted to get God’s attention? You can, you know. There’s a certain kind of boldness, a certain kind of faith in giving that will get His attention every time. You can see that in Mark 12.

Read that chapter and just imagine the situation it describes. Jesus was sitting by the treasury watching as people put in their offerings. Don’t you know there were some sanctimonious displays going on with Him there watching? There was bound to be plenty of pharisaical robe swishing as those wealthy leaders walked up to put in their gifts that day.

Right in the middle of it all, this poor widow walked up and threw in her offering. I can just see her in my mind’s eye. I can hear her say to herself, “By the eternal Almighty God that liveth, I’ve had enough of this poverty. I’m fed up with having nothing but want. I may just be a poor widow now, but I’m not going to be a poor widow anymore. I’m going to be a broke widow if God doesn’t do something here because I’m giving Him everything I’ve got!”

Then, wham! She threw that last little dab of money she had into the offering.

Do you know what? That got Jesus’ attention. He said, “Listen, everyone. I want to talk to you about this woman,” and He started to preach.

What moved Jesus wasn’t just the fact that she gave. It was how she gave. She gave in faith—not in fear. She didn’t stop and calculate what she didn’t have and say, “Boy, if I do this, tomorrow I won’t eat.” She just boldly threw in all she had, expecting God to take care of her in return.

You and I need to catch hold of that same attitude. We need to start holding our offerings up to the Lord in confidence, throwing them boldly into His service, expecting His blessings in return.

If you have a need right now, get God’s attention by giving with boldness like that widow woman did. Throw open the door of your household by throwing everything you have at Jesus. Let God know that He is your source. Before long, the abundance of God will come pouring in!

No Offence - Kenneth Copeland

No Offense
He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
– 1 John 2:10

Whenever you find yourself stumbling into failure or sin, check your love life. Sit down with the Lord and ask Him to show you if you’re in strife with anyone or if you’ve taken offense. If you have, the devil can come in and trip you up.

As a preacher, I’ve seen that happen countless times. I’ll be preaching about something and some believer will get upset with me about it. He’ll decide I’m wrong and go off in a huff—and first thing you know, he’s in trouble.

Mark 4:17 tells us the devil uses those kinds of offenses to steal the Word from our hearts. He causes us to get crosswise with each other. Then he’s able to pull the plug right out of us and drain the Word like water from a bucket.

Don’t ever let that happen to you. If you hear a preacher or another believer saying something that rubs you the wrong way and you catch yourself getting offended say, “Oh no you don’t. You’re not stealing the Word out of me, you lying Devil.” Then get right down on your knees and repent before God.

Search the Word and listen to the Spirit within you and find out what you should do. If you still feel what that person said to you was wrong, pray for him.

Remember, taking offense never comes from God. He says we’re to be rooted and grounded in love. So reject those feelings of offense. Give yourself to that person in love and in prayer. You’ll be able to walk right on through that situation without ever stumbling at all.

CALL IT FORTH - Joseph Prince

…God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;
Romans 4:17
- APRIL 17 -
CALL IT FORTH!
“Pastor Prince, I feel the pain in my body. How can I go around saying that Christ has redeemed me from this sickness? How can I say that by His stripes I am healed?”

Well, God’s way is to call those things that are not as though they are. And because you are made in God’s image, you can also call those things that are not as though they are!

When God wanted to make Abraham a father of many nations, what did He do? He changed the way Abraham talked. At that time, Abraham did not even have a single child from Sarah because she was barren. So how could he become a father of many nations?

God changed the way he talked. How? By changing his name from Abram to Abraham, which means “father of many nations”. (Genesis 17:5)

Just imagine: From then on, every time he met someone, he would say, “Hi, my name is Father Of Many Nations.” Every time dinner was ready, Sarah would call out to Abraham, “Darling…Father Of Many Nations…dinner is ready! Father Of Many Nations…” You can just hear their neighbors saying, “They want a child so much they have gone mad!” But God changed the way Abraham talked so that he called forth what God saw him already blessed with.

You know, when Jesus saw the man with a withered hand, He didn’t say, “My goodness! It is so withered!” He said, “Stretch out your hand!” (Matthew 12:13) He called forth what He wanted. He looked at the paralytic and said, “Rise, take up your bed and go home!” (Matthew 9:6) He didn’t see the way it was in the natural. He saw the way God meant it to be and He called it forth.

Genesis 1 tells us that in the beginning, there was darkness over the face of the whole earth. God saw the darkness and He said, “Light be!” And light was. God called forth what He wanted and it became so! If it had been me or you, we would probably have said, “Whoa! It is so dark!”

My friend, despite the pain, call forth your healing. It is pointless to state the obvious. So change the way you talk. See the way God meant it to be, and start calling forth your healing and wholeness!

Take Some New Ground - Kenneth Copeland

Take Some New Ground
Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
– Matthew 18:19

As believers, you and I are part of a conquering army, constantly claiming new ground for the kingdom of God. Right?

Well, yes, that’s the way it should be. But just about the time the army tops the hill and is ready to advance, it seems that Satan pulls out his big gun—division—and scatters believers in every direction.

How can we strike back against the strategy of division? By launching an even more powerful attack of our own. By using one of the most powerful resources given us by the Lord Jesus: the prayer of agreement.

Jesus said that if any two of us would agree as touching anything we ask, it shall be done! That statement is so powerful that most people don’t really believe it. If they did, you’d find little groups of Christians huddled up in every corner agreeing together in prayer.

Find someone to agree with in prayer this week. Be sure to base what you pray on the Word of God. You may have differing opinions about everything else, but you can be in agreement about the Word.

Also, be sure your agreement is total—spirit, soul and body. Cast down arguments, theories and imaginations that are contrary to the Word. Take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Keep a watch over your thoughts and your words.

Then get your body in line by speaking the thing you’ve agreed on. Act like you’ve already received the answer. Don’t keep asking but thank God for it. Stay in agreement and take some new ground for the Lord!

OSUN POLITICS: Need For Balance Of Power Between Christians And Muslims

Osun state was formed on 27 August, 1991 when it was created from old
Oyo State. Like every other state in Nigeria, it has three senatorial
districts namely, Osun central, Osun East (Ife/Ijesha area) and Osun
West.

Osun Central has the following Local Government Councils;
Boripe, Bolowaduro, Ifelodun, Ila, Ifedayo, Irepodun, Orolu, Odo-otin,
Olorunda, Osogbo, Osun East, Atakunmosa East, Atakunmosa West, Ife
Central, Ife East, Ife North, Ife South, Ilesa East, Ilesa West,
Obokun, Oriade, Osun West, Ayadaade, Ayedire, Ede North, Ede South,
Egbedore, Ejigbo, Irewole, Isokan, Iwo, Ola-Oluwa.

Aside the military administrators who are non-indigenes, the state has
been ruled by Alhaji Isiaka Adeleke (Muslim) (January 1992 – November
1993) under the platform of SDP (now defunct) for  one year, 11 months; Chief
Bisi Akande (Muslim) 29 May, 1999 – 29 May, 2003 (AD). He ruled for
four years; Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola (Christian) 9 May, 2003 – 26
November, 2010 (PDP) governed for 5 years and six months and Alhaji
Raufu Aregbesola (Muslim) 26 November, 2010 to date (APC). He will
rule for 8 years.

By implication, a Christian has ruled for five and a half years while
three Muslims have ruled for 13 years and 11 months.

Of all the four elected governors, Osun West has only ruled for just one year and 11 months
when the late politician, Adeleke was in power during the military diarchy,
Osun central ruled for 9 years and six months through Akande, Oyinlola while the incumbent, Aregbesola who hails from Osun East is about to complete two terms which no one had ever has and this means the zone would have
been in power for eight years.

This is why some prominent voices, which include but not limited to
two former governors, Bisi Akande and Oyinlola are insisting that it
is the turn of Osun West. There is no justifiable reasons why the next
governor should come from either Osun Central or Osun East. In the
interest of justice, equity and fair play, Osun West should produce
the next governor unless if the kingmakers are daring the people of
the zone to do their worst.

And again, it is for the same reason Aregbesola’ successor should be a
Christian. As stated earlier, before Oyinlola, a Christian, came two
Muslims (Adeleke and Akande). And after Oyinlola came Aregbesola a
Muslim whose victory at the court denied the state of eight years rule
of a Christian governor.
Although Christians have not been agitating for their right to preside
over the affairs of the state for some reasons, but the policies of
the outgoing governor whose era has brought the religious dichotomy to
the fore has rudely woken up Christians from their unholy slumber.

The state belongs to all the indigenes irrespective of their religious
and political persuasions. And for all of them to be involved in the
development of the state, there must be fairness, equity and justice.

I challenge the leaders of thoughts in the Osun West to demand for the
right of the zone to produce the next governor and if they are
ignored, let them mobilise their people to vote for any party that
picks its candidate from the zone after all no party is from outside
the country. In the same vein, the time has come for Christian leaders
in the whole state nay Southwest to demand for their right to have one
of them as the next governor and if the mainstream parties, APC and
PDP said NO, let them mobilise their members to vote for any party
that picks a Christian as its governorship candidate. After all
politicians themselves mobilise protest vote against their parties
when their interest is ignored.

Christians in Osun state should take a cue from their counterparts in
Lagos  who protested and got a Christian governor. Without that
effort, nobody would have heard of Ambode as the Governor. Nobody
lives in fool’s paradise again. A word is enough for the wise.

Live the Love Life - Copeland

Live the Love Life
But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
– 1 John 2:5-6

There is nothing—absolutely nothing—that is more important than learning to love. In fact, how accurately you perfect the love walk will determine how much of the perfect will of God you accomplish. That’s because every other spiritual force derives its action from love. For example, the Bible teaches us that faith works by love. And answered prayer is almost an impossibility when a believer steps outside of love and refuses to forgive or is in strife with his brother.

Without love, your giving will not work. Tongues and prophecy will not work. Faith fails and knowledge is unfruitful. All the truths that you have learned from God’s Word work by love. They will profit you nothing unless you live the love of God.

First Corinthians 13:4-8 paints a perfect picture of how love behaves. It’s patient and kind. It’s not jealous or proud. It doesn’t behave rudely or selfishly and it isn’t touchy. Love “beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.”

Sounds like a tall order, doesn’t it? But don’t despair. You are a love creature. God has re-created your spirit in the image of love. And He has sent His love Spirit to live in you and teach you how to love as He loves. You can live the love life. Begin today.

The Archbishop of Canterbury and His Cruel Husband - Fani-Kayode

THE ARCHBISHOP OF CANTERBURY AND HIS CRUEL HUSBAND

When President Muhammadu Buhari arrived in the United Kingdom in preparation for the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting, Archbishop Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Cantetbury and the presiding Bishop of the Church of England, who dutifully sat at his bedside when he was critically ill last year and who has assumed the role of his beloved second wife, said the following:

"Mr. President, you have my best wishes on your recent decision. I read your declaration speech. We are neutral as a Church but we will pray for you. Great statesmen are those who run for the good of their country. We will be praying for you".

There is no question in my mind that Welby is Buhari's new-found bride.

As I said in an earlier contribution, it is clear to me that this 'same-sex-marriage-loving' and confused English Archbishop deserves to be hung, drawn, quartered and burnt at the stake!

He says he will be praying for a blood-lusting and tyrannical monster that has inflicted nothing but pain and hardship on the Nigerian people.

What on earth have we done to Justin Welby to deserve this disdain, contempt, insult and mockery? Would he pray that such a creature should preside over the affairs of his Great Britain?

Does Justin know who and what his husband really is and what he has done? Does he even care to do the research and find out?

Has the blood of the Christian martyrs and saints that has been shed over the last three years in Nigeria not moved or touched the heart of this so-called Archbishop?

Has he lost all sense of decency and compassion and has the milk of human kindness stopped flowing in his veins?

Has he stopped hearing from God or is he just rebellious and defiant to the leading of the Spirit and the voice of the Lord? As a matter of fact did he EVER hear from God?

When a senior cleric espouses a cold-blooded and merciless demoniac it gives cause for concern. When a shepherd encourages and endorses the bestial atrocities of an insatiable wolf that takes pleasure in devouring his sheep it is an abomination.

Since when did the Church of England and the Archbishop of Canterbury sink so low?

You are associating with a tyrant who is in open collusion and collaboration with Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram and who has presided over, orchestrated and encouraged the mass murder and slaughter of hundreds of thousands of his own people.

This is a man who has refused to label the Fulani herdsmen terrorists and who has publicly identified with some of the core values of Boko Haram and defended them on numerous occasions over the years.

You say that you are neutral as a Church yet you keep having photo-ops and closed-door meetings with the tyrant and you refuse to condemn him for his gross and barbaric human rights violations, his attacks on and marginalisation of adherents of the Christian faith, his contempt for the Church and his hatred for non-Muslims and non-Fulanis. I say shame on you!

The attempt by the British government and intelligence agencies, using a discredited and out of touch 'same-sex-marriage-loving' Archbishop Justin Welby, to help to prop up and legitimise a failed tyrant, an ethnic cleanser and a genocidal maniac who hates and kills non-Fulanis, Shia Muslims, IPOB youths and Christians, will fail.

Permit me to go further by putting the following questions to the Archbishop.

How can you possibly know who your real friends in Nigeria are or who and what your husband really is when you didn't even know who your real father was until two years ago?

How can you possibly recognise the fact that entering into intimate relations and deep fraternity with a man whose hands are soaked in blood and who delights in indulging in wickedness and injustice is anti-Christ and ungodly when you preside over a Church that encourages and administers same-sex marriages and that believes that being gay is a virtue?

Is it any wonder that many Anglican denominations all over the world, including Nigeria and Africa, severed ties with and renounced the English branch of the Anglican Church over ten years ago because of your love for homosexuals and gay marriage and other grave doctrinal violations of the Holy  Scriptures?

I have nothing but contempt for your weakness and inability to preserve and protect the gospel and true teachings and beliefs of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and I view you as nothing but a compromised and corrupted hell-bound soul.

Your love for your husband Buhari does not surprise me. I am aware that it has always been so since his days at PTF.

I do not expect any better from you because I know how flawed, insensitive, seedy, irresponsible, detached, out of touch with reality and compromised you really are but because of your station in the Church and reverred calling others may well do. Consequently I am constrained to put the following questions to you.

Have you asked the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) what they and the 120 million Christians that they represent have been going through since your husband came to power?

Do you know how many Christians are killed on a daily basis in Nigeria by security forces and state-sponsored Fulani jihadist militias?

Have you asked the Anglican Communion in Nigeria what Christians have been going through in our country under your husband?

Have you asked the Methodists, the Baptists, the Catholics, the Evangelicals, the Pentecostals, the Cherubim and Seraphim, the Apostolic Church, CAC, ECWA, COCIN or any other Christian denomination in Nigeria what their members have witnessed over the last three years?

Have you sought the counsel of the National Christian Elders Forum (NCEF) and found out from them precisely what the overall objective and long-term plans of your husband's government is for Christians in Nigeria and how his greatest desire is to islamise our nation through a process that they have aptly described as "stealth jihad"?

Have you read the excellent article titled "Nigeria and State Complicity With Terrorists" by the British security analyst Dr. Ann McGregor which makes a compelling case about the collusion and strong collaboration that exists between the Buhari government and the Al Barnawi-faction of Boko Haram?

Do you know how Christian officers are treated in the security and intelligence agencies and in the Armed Forces in Nigeria?

Do you know the indignities that they have been subjected to and do you appreciate the fact that they cannot speak out due to fear of sanctions and reprisals?

Do you know that every single one of the para-military, security and intelligence agencies in Nigeria and every branch of the Nigerian Armed Forces except for the Navy is headed by a northern Muslim?

Are you aware of the fact that the Trump administration, through Vice President Mike Pence of the United States of America, has described Nigeria as "the most dangerous place in the world for Christians to live?"

Do you know that they are absolutely right about that?
Do you know that thousands of Shiite Muslims and Igbo youths have been butchered by your husband's security agencies and Armed Forces over the last three years?

Do you know that Nigeria has become an abbatoir of human blood and butchery under him?

Do you know that Amnesty International has accused your husband's government of heinous human rights violations and mass murder?

Do you know that Transparancy International has accused him and his government of indulging in more corruption than any other government that came before him?

Do you know that the IMF has said that more people are hungry under his government than any previous administration?

Do you know that President Olusegun Obasanjo, President Ibrahim Babangida, President Goodluck Jonathan, General T.Y. Danjuma, Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the leaders of Afenifere, Ohaeneze, The Middle Belt Forum, the Niger Delta elders and countless other  leaders across political party and socio-cultural lines have condemned your husbands activities and record in public office and asked him not to come back?

Do you know that 808 Christians were murdered in their homes by Fulani herdsmen on Christmas eve and Christmas day alone in 2016?

Do you know that not one of the herdsmen that perpetuated this heinous crime was caught or brought to justice simply because they enjoy the support of your husband and his security agencies?

Do you know that hundreds of thousands of others have been butchered in the same way and by the same people all over the Middle Belt and the south over the last three years?

Do you know the terror the Christians and indigenous people of Taraba, Benue, Plateau, Adamawa, Kogi, Kwara, Nassarawa, Niger, Enugu, Abia, Anambra, Oyo, Ogun, Ekiti, Oshun, Delta, Edo, Akwa Ibom, Cross Rivers, Imo, Ebonyi, Lagos, Zamfara and others have been subjected to by your husbands kinsmen in the name of cattle-herding over the last three years?

Do you know that when the Fulanis kill they target women and children especially and they remove the vital organs, eyes, tongue, private parts, liver, kidneys and hearts of their victims?

Do you know that they use those human parts for ritual purposes? Do you know that they are pagans and not real Muslims?

Do you know that not one Fulani herdsman has been brought to justice in the last three years by your husband even though they have slaughtered hundreds of thousands of innocent and defenceless Christians and non-Fulani Muslims all over the country?

Do you know that they enjoy official protection and support from your husband? Do you know that your husband refers to them publicly as his "people" and his "brothers" and that he has appealed to the communities whose people they have slaughtered to "accomodate them" and "treat them with understanding?"

Do you know that Christians and non-Fulanis are disarmed by your husbands security forces and told that they must not attempt to defend themselves when they are attacked by the Fulani otherwise they will be arrested or shot by the police or the military?

Do you know that your husband once said that Boko Haram should not be wiped out and that "an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the north?"

Do you know that Boko Haram once proposed him as their spokesman and chief negotiator in proposed talks with President Jonathan's government?

Do you know that he shares some of their core values and objectives such as the view that sharia must be spread and practised in every part of the country?

Do you know that he once said that Muslims should only vote for Muslims? Do you know that he once said that it is not the business of Christians when Muslims cut off the limbs of other Muslims under sharia because it is not Christian limbs that are being cut off?

Do you know that your husband hates the Igbo people of south-eastern Nigeria who are predominantly  Christians? Do you know that over 2 million of the Igbo, including 1 million children, were slaughtered by Nigerian forces in our civil war and that your husband was deeply involved in that carnage and slaughter?

Do you know that last year he declared IPOB, an Igbo organisation who believe in the right of self-determination and the establishment of Biafra, who do not have an armed wing and who have never carried arms, killed anyone or indulged in any form of violence, as a terrorist organisation?

Do you know that he "disappeared" Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB and in the process killed many people in his house?

Do you know that he has locked up Sheik El Zak Zaky, the leader of the Shiite Muslims in Nigeria, indefinately and against court orders after killing his children, slaughtering hundreds of his people, shooting his wife four times in the stomach and shooting him in the eye?

Do you know that he has detained Col. Sambo Dasuki, a former National Security Advisor, a reasonable, moderate, civilised, urbane, cosmopolitan, liberal and blue-blooded Fulani Prince of the Sokoto Caliphate  and a man whose only crimes are that he served President Goodluck Jonathan diligently and that he presents a credible and potent threat to your husbands tyrannical government and 2019 ambitions?

Do you know that your husband has not only given Boko Haram millions of dollars in ransoms over the last three years but he has also released ALL their key commanders and granted them amnesty?

Do you know that many of the freed Boko Haram footsoldiers that your husband has set free are secretly being drafted into the Nigerian Army?

Do you know that your husband's Minister of Information, one Lai Mohammed, once complained that Boko Haram should never have been proscribed in the first place and that it was "unjust" for the Jonathan administration to have done so?

Do you know that the supposed kidnap of the Dapchi schoolgirls was a government-sponsored money-making scam and that the only girl that was not freed and allowed to go home was Leah Sharibu, the only Christian amongst them, simply because she refused to renounce her faith?

Do you know that your husband has consistently humiliated Christians, insulted CAN, shamed the Church and treated believers with more contempt than any other President or Head of State in the history of Nigeria since he came to power?

Do you know that he is an ethnic cleanser whose Air Force has bombed predominantly Christian IDP camps and communities and whose Army has colluded with Fulani herdsmen to commit genocide and mass murder against Christian communities?

Do you know the number of petitions and credible allegations that have been filed against your husband and his military commanders at the International Criminal Court at the Hague (ICC) and do you know that he has committed more crimes against humanity and war crimes than virtually all of those that have been jailed by that same court in the past.

Do you know that northern and Middle Belt Nigeria is in a state of undeclared war and that thousands of people are slaughtered by your husband's Fulani herdsmen every day?

Do you know how much suffering and havoc he has unleashed in our land and how much he has tormented our people?

The truth is that your marriage to Buhari sickens. By entering into this ungodly union you have betrayed your calling as a priest and you turned your back on the whole of Christiandom.

You have also spat on the graves of hundreds of thousands of believers that your husband has murdered over the last three years.

You have defecated on the memories and the sacrifice of the martyrs and pissed all over the holy scrlptures that constrains us to stand up against tyrants and bullies, to speak up for the oppressed, the weak, the persecuted, the poor, the falsely accused and the righteous, to fight against injustice and tyranny and to resist evil.

Like Macbeth you have murdered sleep, you shall sleep no more and your wickedness shall come back to haunt you.

You should bow your head in shame and ask God for forgiveness.

I advise you to file divorce papers against Buhari, terminate your ungodly marriage to him and find yourself a new husband.

Finally consider this.

President Donald Trump broke the news to the world that American, British and French jets were on their way to bomb Syria on the morning of 14th April he asked the following question:

"To Iran and to Russia, I ask: What kind of a nation wants to be associated with the mass murder of innocent men, women and children?"

I put the same question to Archbishop Justin Welby and all those that share his unnatural affection, love and support for President Muhammadu Buhari today by asking,

"What kind of a man wants to be associated with the mass murder of innocent men, women and children?"

HURIWA Condemns INEC's Decision on Electronic Voting

HURIWA condemns INEC’s decision on electronic voting:

*TASKS CENSUS COMMISSION on credible head count:

A leading pro-democracy and non-governmental organization – HUMAN RIGHTS WRITERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (HURIWA) has condemned the Professor Yakubu Mohmood – led Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for ruling out the use of electronic voting in the 2019 general election.

The Rights group said the decision is ill-advised and is meant to provide ample opportunities for politicians who are incumbents of the two main political parties to use powers of incumbency and massive financial resources at their disposal to manipulate the electoral process to reach a pre-determined objective even as the cases of ghosts voters and child voters will then become widespread and impossible to detect.

HURIWA said the current management of INEC has proved not to be a reliable unbiased electoral umpires who are willing to conduct free, fair, credible and peaceful election comes 2019.

Relatedly, the Rights group has described as substantially false and unscientific the report credited to the National population commission stating that Nigeria’s new population stands at 198 million.

HURIWA wondered how the new figure of the national population was arrived at when Nigeria has not conducted head count that ought to have been done in the year 2016. HURIWA said by law the Country ought to conduct regular headcount every ten years but stated that the current administration was afraid of the potentials that the deployment of improved infrastructure for census can have in bringing about accuracy and exactitude which informed the deliberate stifling of the functions of the near moribund and politically tainted National Population commission. HURIWA argued that the coincidence between the announcement of a highly frivolous and untenable new population figure with that of INEC refusing to use electronic voting shows two federal institutions that are partners in the criminal collusion to undermine the independence, credibility and integrity of the year 2019 general elections.

In a statement by the National Coordinator Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko and the National Media Affairs Director Miss Zainab Yusuf, HURIWA said the announcement by the electoral panel that electronic voting will not be used in the 2019 general elections is a game plan to rig the presidential poll for the incumbent and the governorship for incumbents of all political formations who can play ball even as the Rights group warned of dire consequences should this plot being hatched comes to fruition next year. HURIWA also asked Nigerians to deploy drones and their handsets to transmit happenings at their respective polling centers to minimise the potentials of electoral manipulations and rigging which the current election managers are perfecting to execute for their own selfish and personal pecuniary aggrandizement.

“We condemn this leadership of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for sticking to the primitive and manipulative way of manual conduct of elections as against global best practices and wondered why the electoral commission had in recent times spent billions to procure electronic voting machines.”

“We learnt authoritatively that INEC under Yakubu Mohmood has collapsed under the heavy weight of pressure by the political hawks in the presidency not to deploy electronic voting machines for the purposes of the general elections. This sinister plot to manipulate the actual voting exercise by not using electronic voting system but to adopt electronic transfer of results to rapidly issue and annual rigged results to achieve a fait accompli should be condemned totally.”

“INEC’s decision not to use electronic voting system is because the officials believe that millions of voters of northern origin maybe disenfranchised and since the ruling party has some of her largest support base in the North, INEC think the use of electronic voting system may work against  against the incumbent president who has indicated interest to seek re-election.”
“This decision by INEC not to use electronic voting is primitive, unconstitutional and will adversely affect the credibility of 2019 elections. Why did INEC not embarked on sensitization and enlightenment process on the use of electronic voting machines since two years ago but decided to wait till now to make this odd announcement.”
HURIWA recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said it will not introduce electronic voting for the 2019 general election.

HURIWA said the INEC's leadership Spoke at a press conference to mark the end of the three-day international conference on the use of technology for the conduct of elections in Africa, whereby the Chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, said it would only deploy technology for purposes of collating and transmitting election results during 2019 poll.

HURIWA quoted INEC chief as stating that: “Let me say categorically that the commission will not be deploying technology for electronic voting in the 2019 elections, but we will deploy the technology for collation and transmission of election result from polling units to INEC result collation base,” he said.

HURIWA said Yakubu, who was flanked by officials of election management bodies from Namibia and Belguim, further said one of the outcomes of the conference was a decision by the electoral umpires to work towards eliminating cases of meddlesomeness and interferences due to the deployment of technology during elections.

HURIWA however believe that the present leadership of INEC is working to achieve largely a Northern regional agenda of ensuring that the incumbent President is manipulated back to office in 2019 in spite of widespread disaffection and rejection of his decision to contest for a second and final tenure last year.

Leaving the Pain Behind - Copeland

Leaving the Pain Behind
Love...is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].
– 1 Corinthians 13:5, The Amplified Bible

Have you ever tried to forgive someone...and found you simply couldn’t do it? You’ve cried about it and prayed about it and asked God to help you, but those old feelings of resentment just failed to go away.

Put an end to those kinds of failures in the future by basing your forgiveness on faith rather than feelings. True forgiveness doesn’t have anything at all to do with how you feel. It’s an act of the will. It is based on obedience to God and on faith in Him.

That means once you’ve forgiven a person, you need to consider them permanently forgiven! When old feelings rise up within you and Satan tries to convince you that you haven’t really forgiven them, resist him. Say, “No, I’ve already forgiven that person by faith. I refuse to dwell on those old feelings.”

Then, according to 1 John 1:9, believe that you receive forgiveness and cleansing from the sin of unforgiveness and from all unrighteousness associated with it—including any remembrance of having been wronged!

Have you ever heard anyone say, “I may forgive, but I’ll never forget!”? That’s a second-rate kind of forgiveness that you, as a believer, are never supposed to settle for. You’re to forgive supernaturally “even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you” (Ephesians 4:32).

You’re to forgive as God forgives. To release that person from guilt permanently and unconditionally and to operate as if nothing bad ever happened between you. You’re to purposely forget as well as forgive.

As you do that, something supernatural will happen within you. The pain once caused by that incident will disappear. The power of God will wash away the effects of it and you’ll be able to leave it behind you once and for all.

Don’t become an emotional bookkeeper, keeping careful accounts of the wrongs you have suffered. Learn to forgive and forget. It will open a whole new world of blessing for you.

Court Grants Ex-PDP National Chairman Leave to Travel to UK for Medical Tourism

Court Grants Ex-PDP Chair, Bello Leave to Travel to UK for Medicals
Justice A. R. Mohammed of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 granted an application by Haliru Bello, former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, seeking to travel to London for medical check-up.
Bello’s counsel, Kanu Agabi, SAN, had in a motion dated April 5, 2018 and filed April 10, 2018 asked for leave of the court for the third defendant (Bello) to travel to London for medicals.
Moving the application today, O. Osoka, who held brief for Agabi further asked for interim release of the applicant’s international passport already in the custody of the court.
The prosecution did not object to the application.
In his ruling, Justice Mohammed granted the application adding that, “since the matter is agreed to be adjourned to May 22, 2018 and the appointment of the third defendant is June 1, 2018, the third defendant shall not travel until after the proceedings of May 22”.
The court had earlier admitted in evidence Ecobank forwarding letter attached with statement of account, account opening package and certificate of identification as ‘Exhibit PW11a,b & c respectively.
The document was tendered through the 7th prosecution witness, Chidi Eboigbe, a compliance officer with Ecobank.
The defence had earlier objected to its admissibility on the ground that the documents were not frontloaded, and so not relevant. But, the prosecution represented by Rotimi Jacobs, SAN, had argued that the documents especially the statement of account and account opening package were frontloaded and all relevant authorities had been complied with.
The former PDP Chairman, his son, Bello Abba Mohammed and their Company, Bam Project and Properties Ltd are facing trial on a 4-count charge of money laundering to the tune of N300million, which they allegedly collected from the Office of the former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd) .

Why I Declared For Second Term - Buhari

STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE

2019: WHY I DECLARED INTENTIONS NOW, BY PRESIDENT BUHARI

President Muhammadu Buhari has explained why he declared his intentions to run for another term in office on Monday, April 9, 2018, during the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Receiving the Archbishop of Canterbury, His Grace Justin Welby in London Wednesday, President Buhari said:

"I declared before leaving home because Nigerians were talking too much about whether I would run or not. So, I felt I should break the ice. We have many things to focus on, like security, agriculture, economy, anti-corruption, and many others. We needed to concentrate on them, and politics should not be a distraction. The majority of Nigerians appreciate what we are doing, and that is why I am re-contesting."

The President recounted some successes of the administration to his guest, with whom he has built a deep friendship in recent times, and was quite particular about strides in agriculture.

"We have cut the importation of rice by about 90%, saving billions of dollars in the process. People who rushed into petrol money have now gone back to agriculture. Even professionals have gone back to the land. Nigeria should be able to feed itself comfortably soon. I am so pleased," the President said.

On the war against insurgency, he stressed the need for continuous education of the people, "so that they can be free from religious manipulation," adding that no true religion advocates the hurting or killing of the innocent.

Responding to his guest's comment on the clashes between herdsmen and farmers in different parts of Nigeria, the President submitted:

"The problem is even older than us. It has always been there, but now made worse by the influx of armed gunmen from the Sahel region into different parts of the West African sub-region. These gunmen were trained and armed by Muammar Gadaffi of Libya. When he was killed, the gunmen escaped with their arms. We encountered some of them fighting with Boko Haram. Herdsmen that we used to know carried only sticks and maybe a cutlass to clear the way, but these ones now carry sophisticated weapons. The problem is not religious, but sociological and economic. But we are working on solutions."

President Buhari lamented that "irresponsible politics" has been brought into the farmers/herders’ crisis, but assured that enduring solutions would be found, and justice done to all concerned.

On Leah Sharibu, the schoolgirl from Dapchi still being held by insurgents, reportedly because she refused to renounce her Christian faith, the President said:

"We are managing the matter quietly. Making noise would not help. We are collecting as much intelligence as possible, working with the Red Cross and other international organizations. There are too many fraudulent people around, who claim they can do this and that. We won't deal with them. That was how we got the Dapchi girls back, and the Chibok girls."

Archbishop Welby said it was always a delight to see President Buhari, "whom I have tremendous respect for," adding: "You have my best wishes on your recent decision. I read your declaration speech. We are neutral as a church, but we will pray for you. Great statesmen are those who run for the good of their country. We will be praying for you."

The Archbishop presented President Buhari with a copy of his recent book, 'Reimagining Britain. Foundations for Hope.'

Count On God's Forgiveness - Joseph Prince

...For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins.
Hebrews 10:2
- APRIL 9 -
COUNT ON GOD’S FORGIVENESS
What are you more conscious of today? Your sins or the fact that you have been forgiven? My friend, don’t be conscious of your sins. Be conscious instead of Jesus and His finished work. The Lamb of God has taken away all your sins at the cross, so count on the fact that you are a forgiven child of God!

No matter what has happened or what you have done, God wants you to know that because of His Son’s finished work, He will be merciful to your unrighteousness, and your sins and lawless deeds He will remember no more. (Hebrews 8:12)

That is why you should not be conscious of your sins. In fact, when you are sin-conscious, the devil brings in condemnation, and the more you receive it and condemn yourself, the more you will find yourself unforgiving toward yourself and even others.

I was told by a pastor friend that when a lady, who had cancer on her face, asked for prayer for healing, the Lord revealed to him that it was self-hatred that was keeping her from receiving her healing. She could not forgive herself and was full of self-condemnation.

When she realized her problem, she counted on the fact that God was merciful to her unrighteousness and that she was already forgiven. She received the love of God. Then, right before the pastor’s eyes, her whole face changed—she received her healing that very moment!

Something happens when you believe that you are forgiven. That is why God says to you, “I want you to believe that all your sins I will remember no more. I want you to believe that you are My child enjoying My mercy and that you can always count on My forgiveness.”

Beloved, remember that all your sins have already been paid for by Jesus on the cross. And the more you count on the fact that you have the Father’s forgiveness and that He does not condemn you because of Jesus’ finished work, the more sin and its effects—sickness, hatred, lack and so on—will lose their grip on you. You will find yourself walking in a greater measure of God’s grace and blessings!

Leave the Past Behind - Copeland

Leave the Past Behind
...But this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.
– Philippians 3:13

Failures and disappointments. Aches and pains from the past that just won’t seem to go away. Most of us know what it’s like to suffer from them but too few of us know just what to do about them. So we limp along, hoping somehow they’ll magically stop hurting.

But it never happens that way. In fact, the passing of time often leaves us in worse condition—not better. Because, instead of putting those painful failures behind us, we often dwell on them until they become more real to us than the promises of God. We focus on them until we become bogged down in depression, frozen in our tracks by the fear that if we go on, we’ll only fail again.

I used to get caught in that trap a lot. Then one day when I was right in the middle of a bout with depression, the Lord spoke up inside me and said:

Kenneth, your problem is you’re forming your thoughts off the past instead of the future. Don’t do that! Unbelief looks at the past and says, “See, it can’t be done.” But faith looks at the future and says, “It can be done, and according to the promises of God, it is done!” Then putting past failures behind it forever, faith steps out and acts like the victory’s already been won.

If depression has driven you into a spiritual nose dive, break out of it by getting your eyes off the past and onto your future—a future that’s been guaranteed by Christ Jesus through the great and precious promises in His Word.

Forget about those failures in the past! That’s what God has done (Hebrews 8:12). And if He doesn’t remember them any more, why should you?

The Bible says God’s mercies are new every morning. So if you’ll take God at His Word, you can wake up every morning to a brand-new world. You can live life totally unhindered by the past.

So, do it! Replace thoughts of yesterday’s mistakes with scriptural promises about your future. As you do that, hope will start taking the place of depression. The spiritual aches and pains that have crippled you for so long will quickly disappear. Instead of looking behind you and saying, “I can’t,” you’ll begin to look ahead and say, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me!”

PDP Congratulates David Mark @70

April 8, 2018

Press Statement

PDP Congratulates Mark at 70

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) congratulates former Senate President David Mark as he clocks the age of 70 years.

Senator Mark is an exceptional patriot and outstanding statesman, who has dedicated a greater part of his life, both as a soldier and a democrat, towards the stability and development of our dear nation.

The PDP, as a party is particularly proud of Senator Mark’s excellent performance as a two-term Senate President, during which the Senate played unparalleled roles in holding the nation together while strengthening our constitution and democratic institutions, in line with the ideology of the PDP and the visions of our founding fathers.

Senator Mark’s role in leading the PDP-controlled Senate to achieve the first amendment to the 1999 constitution, to among other things insert provisions that ensured credible electoral processes and entrenchment of rule of law, and particularly the granting of operational autonomy to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Judiciary arm by listing them on the first line charge on the Consolidated Revenue Fund, remains a watershed in our democratic experience and history.

Furthermore, the invocation of the Doctrine of Necessity in 2010 to avert a constitutional crisis as well as the critical interventions of the Senate, under Senator Mark, in the resolution of the crisis in the Niger Delta and other parts of the country, stand as credits to his commitment to a stable and united Nigeria, for which the PDP is known for.

The PDP family joins millions of other Nigerians in congratulating Senator Mark as he marks his 70th birthday while praying to God to grant him more strength and wisdom as he continues to be of service to our dear nation.

GOD IS YOUR STRENGTH - Joseph Prince

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Ephesians 6:10
- APRIL 8 -
GOD IS YOUR STRENGTH
When you say, “I can manage this problem by myself, Lord,” God says, “Okay, you do it then.” But when you say, “Help me, Lord! I need You. I cannot do this on my own,” God says, “Good, I have been waiting for you to say that. You cannot, but I can. Now, watch Me!” That is how God is—He loves it when you depend on Him.

You see, when you think that you are strong and don’t need God, He cannot help you. But when you need Him and look to Him, He will not leave you weak and helpless. He comes and becomes the strength of your life. He becomes the breakthrough that you need.

A church member with a smoking habit came to me one day and said, “Pastor Prince, please pray that God will help me. I want to stop my smoking habit.”

I told him simply, “You cannot, but God can.”

He replied, “Yes, I know that I can’t. But with God’s help, I will discipline myself and try my best to quit the habit.”

I told him, “No, you cannot, but God can.” I repeated this to him a few times until he realized that it was not his self-discipline or willpower that would help him overcome his smoking habit, but the power of God. He finally understood that true deliverance from this destructive habit would not come by his own strength, but by “[being] strong in the Lord and in the power of His might”.

When I saw him again a few weeks later, he said, “Pastor Prince, since that day, I didn’t even try to stop myself from smoking. But each time I lit up, I told God, ‘I cannot, but You can.’ Then one day, the craving was gone! Jesus has completely delivered me from my bondage to nicotine!” This man experienced true deliverance, not just an outward form of discipline and willpower.

So when you say, “I can do something about it,” you are still relying on your human strength. But when you say to God, “I cannot, but You can,” you have just tapped into the real source of your strength—Jesus. And as you rest in His strength, you will see His power manifesting in your life!

Resurrection Life - Copeland

Resurrection Life
Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
– Luke 24:1-3

Truly, it’s time for us to stop looking for the living among the dead. It’s time for us to stop wandering around in the cemetery of sin, sickness and failure and to step into resurrection life!

As a resurrected creature, you’re no accident going somewhere to happen. Your life isn’t just a loose web of events and circumstances. God has specific plans for you.

Maybe He intends for you to have the greatest healing ministry of this century. Or perhaps He wants to turn you into a tremendous preacher. Maybe He has a revelation prepared for you that will enable you to bless the whole world. But you’ll never know what He has in store for you until you put your attention on Him.

That’s why the devil works hard to keep you focusing on the problems of life. That’s why he tries to keep your attention turned away from the living Word of God. He doesn’t want you to know you’re full of the resurrection life of Jesus. In fact, the prospect of it terrifies him.

Why? Because once you truly understand that you have the life of God inside you, you’ll begin to act just like Jesus did. You’ll lay hands on the sick and they’ll recover. You’ll cast out demons. You’ll preach the gospel to every creature.

In short, you’ll be just what God intended you to be. You’ll be the Body of Christ on the earth.

Don’t let Satan bind you with the grave clothes of yesterday’s sin and defeat. You’re not dead anymore. You’ve been raised with Jesus. Come out from the tombs and start living resurrection life!

Get on the Right Road - Copeland

Get on the Right Road
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.
– Deuteronomy 30:19

God’s going to get you for that! Most of us have said that kind of thing jokingly for years. We’ve somehow believed that God slaps us down with pain and punishment every time we sin. But that’s just not true. There are deadly wages for sin, but God is not the one who’s doling them out.

You see, the Bible tells us there’s been a curse in effect for thousands of years. And the devil is the cause of it, not the Lord God. God gave warning of it in Deuteronomy 30:19. After describing in detail the blessings that fall upon those who followed God and the terrible suffering that would befall those who separated themselves from Him, He said, “I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.”

Think of it this way. Curseville is out there. God warned us about it and urged us not to travel the road that leads there. But He has promised to give us freedom, and He’ll allow us to choose our own way. If we get on the road to Curseville and don’t get off of it, we’re going to wind up there. Is that because God sent us there? No! He urged us not to go.

The vital thing to realize is this: At any point of the journey—whether you’re on the road to Curseville or living right in the middle of it—God will save you from it. He’ll take you out of there and deliver you. He’ll deliver you from diseases, addictions, or anything else that’s been holding you captive.

Today if you find yourself on the wrong road and see destruction ahead, just repent and get on the right road. Just commit your way to Jesus and He’ll deliver you from whatever may be holding you captive. You can begin by praying, “Lord Jesus, I’ve chosen the wrong road and right now I ask You to forgive me. Today I choose life by choosing Your way. Please deliver me from this bondage and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Thank You, Lord!”

Remember this: No matter what you’ve done, God doesn’t want to get you for it, He wants to forgive you of it. He doesn’t want to slap you down, He wants to save you and lift you up. Trust Him and let Him put you on the road of life today!

WE NEED EACH OTHER - Copeland

We Need Each Other
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
– John 17:21

It’s time we, as believers, began to enter into the oneness Jesus prayed for in John 17:21. It’s time we held on to one another in good times as well as bad. It’s time we realized that we need one another.

We do, you know. I need your faith as much as you need mine. Together, we can face anything and win in Jesus.

Let me show you why. In John 3:34, God says Jesus was given the Holy Spirit without measure. He was more powerful than all the demons of hell and all wicked spirits of all classes, including Satan himself. He was able to defeat their power combined.

Now consider this. We are His Body. Each of us has been given the measure of faith according to Romans 12:1-3. That measure is enough to take care of our own personal needs. However, there is more involved here than just our own personal lives.

We have a world to win! We are the end-time generation. We need all the help we can get. But, thank God, we can get all the help we need!

How? By joining together. Ephesians 4:13 says that when we all come together in the unity of the faith, we’ll have “the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.”

In other words, when the Body of Christ comes together and begins to function as one, we’ll have the Holy Spirit without measure—just like Jesus did! We’ll begin to see ministries functioning in the fullness of their callings. We’ll begin to see manifestations of the Holy Spirit in full measure. We’ll see Jesus in fullness as we’ve never seen Him before.

Then the world will know the Father sent Him.

Step into that oneness today. Start today making a daily effort to make yourself available to God to pray for others. Start your day by saying, “Holy Spirit, use me to pray for someone today. I offer You my measure of faith.”

Once we truly join together in faith, all the demons of hell won’t be able to overcome us. We’ll march right over them in the fullness of the power of Jesus and bring the age to a glorious close!
