ASUU May Begin Strike Tomorrow If

BREAKING: ASUU may begin  strike tomorrow  if...

THE Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU may begin strike if government failed to meet the agreement reached with them on 18th September 2017.

DON'T PLAY DEAD - Copeland

Don't Play Dead
From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
– Matthew 11:12

The Amplified Bible translates Matthew 11:12, "...a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion."

I want you to get violent today. Yes, violent, determined, zealous. I want you to get so committed to the things of God that you'll withstand any attempt to take them away from you.

Too many believers these days are like the Israelites. They're wandering around in a wilderness of defeat because there's an enemy in the promised land. They're being robbed of their rightful inheritance because they're afraid to fight him. They keep hoping that somehow they'll find a way in without using force. But they won't! You have to make demands where Satan and his associates are concerned.

When God sent the Israelites into Canaan, He said, "Send the armed men to go before you." They were to go up armed—ready for the fight. He knew they'd have to fight to take the land. He never promised them that they wouldn't. What He promised them was they'd win every time.

The same is true for you. You can't just lie down and play dead when you're dealing with the devil. He's not going to let go of any area of your life—of your health or your finances or anything else—without a fight. He's not going to give it up unless you force him.

Quit sitting there in the wilderness. Quit sitting there while the devil steals the blessings of God out from under you. You have God's permission and His power and His ability to take the land. Get violent enough to do something about it...today!

PDP Rejects Sack of BD Lawal, Oke

PDP Rejects Sack Of Babachir, Oke
* calls for Buhari's impeachment

Press Release

October 30, 2017

On The Sack of Babachir & Oke: Its Totally Unacceptable, We Demand The Immediate Impeachment of President Buhari – PDP

The statement on the sack of Alhaji Babachir Lawal, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Ayo Oke, the former Director General of Nigerian Intelligent Agency (NIA) is a slap on the face of Nigerians. It is an insult on the-collective intelligence of our people who have waited patiently for the President’s reaction on the humongous act of corruption by two of his principal aides and this is totally unacceptable.

2.       First and foremost, we had disagreed with the President last year when he decided to setup the panel headed by the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo to investigate the matter because we thought that was the wrong course of action to take. Ordinarily, cases of corruption or alleged cases of misappropriation of funds are supposed to be referred to institutions that are saddled with the responsibility to investigate and prosecute such matters which is the ICPC and the EFCC if there is any prima facie case against them.

3.      But it appears not all animals are equal under the Buhari APC administration . some people are treated with kid gloves while others particularly those in opposition are subjected to all manner of harrowing experiences. One of the Senators of the APC, Senator Shehu Sani of Kaduna State succinctly put the matter when he said that this administration uses deodorant to fight corruption when it comes to some APC members and President Buhari’s kitchen Cabinet and insecticides when it involves members of the opposition and those in the National Assembly.

4.       It took the President almost one year to attend to this matter while the culprits were having a field day at home and enjoying themselves. Whereas, in the case of the opposition especially the PDP members, even when the evidence is flimsy they will be visited with multiple harassment and intimidation for months and weeks without proper trial.

5.       We site the case of Sambo Dasuki who has been in detention for over two years and running even when many courts in Nigeria and the Ecowas Court have ordered for his release, but the President has fragrantly disobeyed these court orders which again are a violation of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This is an impeachable offence. So the President cannot just sack Ayo Oke and Babachir Lawal and expects us to be clapping for him.

6.       We believe that we are operating under a democracy and a Constitution that governs our affairs. To have subjected these people to different sets of rule and treatment is totally unacceptable. Nigerians are the same under the law and Babachir Lawal and Ayo Oke should not be tried by the Presidency while others are hounded by the EFCC and ICPC.

7.       These actions of Mr. President are therefore a breach of his oath of office which he swore to defend the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and to be fair and just to all Nigerians without any discrimination whatsoever. The action of the President is a gross violation of his constitutional oath and therefore constitutes a veritable ground for impeachment .Using and applying different laws to different people in the country is a direct assault on the constitution and the rule of law . Consequently, we call on the National Assembly to begin processes to impeach the President for breach of the Constitution and fragrance disobedient to the laws of Nigeria.

8.       We totally reject these actions and the law should follow its full course on the issues of these officers. In other words, their case should be referred to the EFCC for proper investigation and trial, more so when the President has not told us what the report of the findings was. Nigerians are entitled to know the findings of the  panel headed by the Vice President. The report should be made public since it is the people’s money that is involved.

9.       The President has by his actions taken Nigeria to the level of a banana republic. We are not in a banana republic, this is the Federal Republic of Nigeria . Three successive governments of the PDP did not act in the manner President Buhari is acting.

10.    There is no doubt that the sudden sack of the SGF and the DG of NIA is just a consequence of the backlash on the Abdulrasheed Maina saga. Up till now there’s no answer to the pertinent questions we have asked on the Maina saga. The government cares less about the feelings and opinions of Nigerians. This kind of arrogance is unprecedented in the history of this county. We again call for the arrest and investigation of the two Ministers involved in the return of Maina into the Civil Service, that is, the Minister of Interior, Bello Dambazau and Abubakar Mallami , the Attorney General of the Federation & Minister of Justice.

God bless the PDP! God bless Nigeria!!

He is God of Your Valleys Too - Joseph Prince

Then the servants of the king of Syria said to him, “Their gods are gods of the hills. Therefore they were stronger than we; but if we fight against them in the plain, surely we will be stronger than they.

1 Kings 20:23
- OCTOBER 30 -
HE IS THE GOD OF YOUR VALLEYS TOO
In 1 Kings 20, we find the Syrians being defeated by the Israelites. Then, some of the Syrian king’s advisers gave the king what they thought was the reason for their defeat. They said that they had fought on the hills and lost because Israel’s God is the God of the hills. So if they were to fight the Israelites on the plains or in the valleys, they would win.

What stupid advice! They thought that the God of Israel only helped His people up in the hills and mountains, and not down in the valleys.

Now, mountains refer to our good times, and valleys, our bad times. Some people have this idea that God is the God of our good times, but He is not there when we are going through bad times. They think that He leaves us helpless in the valleys, especially when the troubles are of our own making.

My friend, I want you to know that our God is the God of the mountains, but He is also the God of the valleys!

God the Son laid aside His crown of glory, His royal majesty and came down for us, stepping into a human body as a baby. He came down to where we were for the sole purpose of dying on the cross for our sins, so that He could bring us up to what God the Father has for us at His right hand. Jesus came down to crown us with glory and honor, to clothe us with robes of righteousness and make us His bride, sharing everything that He has with us. That is the grace of God. He came down to our valley.

So whatever you are going through right now, know that God is right there in your valley with you. He is holding you in His arms and carrying you through the valley. Victory is already yours. Just as the Israelites were also victorious in the valley (1 Kings 20:28–29), so will you be because the God of the valleys is right there with you!

Clothed With Jesus's Robe of Righteousness

And he shall skin the burnt offering and cut it into its pieces.

Leviticus 1:6
- OCTOBER 29 -
CLOTHED WITH JESUS’ ROBE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
Do you know who first clothed man with coats of skin? It was God Almighty Himself, when He found Adam and Eve hiding behind the bushes because they were afraid of Him. They had become fearful and conscious that they had sinned against God. In their sin-consciousness, they realized that they were naked and that the glory of God, which had been their covering, was gone.

So God killed an animal to clothe Adam and Eve with coats of skin. (Genesis 3:21) An animal had to die and its bloodied skin became their covering. This speaks of the blood of Jesus that covers you when He became your burnt offering. The Lamb of God did not just take away your sins. He also gave you His righteousness.

Beloved, you are covered by Jesus’ blood. You are righteous by His blood. God has clothed you with the robe of righteousness, which was paid for by Jesus’ blood. I am not talking about a physical robe made of cloth. I am talking about the robe of righteousness that was on Jesus when He said to the storm, “Peace, be still!” and there came a perfect calm (Matthew 8:23–27), when healing flowed from Him to the sick and when He raised Lazarus from the dead. (John 11:38–44)

When you believe that you are righteous because of Jesus’ blood, you will see the effects of wearing His robe of righteousness. You will see miracles happening before your very eyes. You become a blessing magnet, a favor or grace magnet. It is not your own righteousness, but the righteousness of Jesus which you have put on, that is attracting all these blessings of God into your life.

My friend, have the consciousness of being clothed with Jesus’ robe of righteousness. Every day, come to God and say, “Father, I thank You that Jesus is my burnt offering. He covers me from head to toe with His righteousness. What He is to You, I am. As He is now, so am I. I am in Him.” And you will see the manifestations of the blessings of health, wholeness, protection and provision that the robe attracts!

Blessed in More Ways Than One - Joseph Prince

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Romans 5:1

BLESSED IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE
We are not trying to get peace with God. We already have peace with God, having been justified by faith through our Lord Jesus Christ. This peace with God brings us the peace of God, which guards our hearts and minds. (Philippians 4:7) Then, the peace of God inside us will also translate into the peace of God outside us—in all our outward circumstances.

Firstly, we will find that what would normally cause us much care and anxiety will no longer be the case. Secondly, not only will everything turn out well, but we will also be blessed in more ways than one. This is what happens when Jesus, the Prince of Peace, is our peace.

A church member, though stricken with cancer, enjoyed the peace of God, knowing that He was her healer. She later received confirmation from two different doctors that she had been completely healed of cancer. In addition to receiving her blessing of complete healing, she also received from her insurance company a critical illness claim of S$50,000!

Another church member, upon hearing news of her retrenchment, committed the matter to God, believing that He would work all things out for her, especially her loss of a regular income. Shortly after, she received her retrenchment package—a substantial five-figure sum. And within days of her retrenchment, she received calls from her contacts in the industry, offering her jobs, two of which were jobs in well-known multinational corporations (MNCs).

At that time, she had not yet started looking for a job, so the calls were unexpected but welcomed. She finally opted to work for one of the MNCs—a dream come true for her—at a salary that was 30 per cent more than her previous one! When she simply prayed, “Abba Father, I trust You to look after me,” and rested in His love and peace, she was abundantly blessed.

Beloved, because Jesus is your peace, you are blessed in more ways than one. Your soul will prosper. Your health will prosper. Your finances will prosper. Your loved ones will be taken care of. Your relationships will flourish. You will enjoy the favor of God. All because you have the Prince of Peace!

Nigerians Will Stone Us if We Present Buhari in 2019 - APC Group

Nigerians Will Stone Us If We Present Buhari In 2019 – APC Group

Some members of the defunct Congress For Progressive Change (CPC) from the 17 southern states of Nigeria, weekend said fielding President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 Presidential poll will incur them the wrath of Nigerians and cost the ruling APC the election.

The group, which spoke under the auspices of Southern Mandate of Nigeria (SMN), said Nigerians may stone APC members at campaign grounds, if Buhari is presented as their candidate.

National Coordinator of the the group, Comrade Francis Ikonomwan, in a statement made available to journalists in Benin, Edo state, described the call by members of Buhari Support Group on President Mohammadu Buhari to contest the 2019 election as “political sycophancy.”

He described members of the Buhari Support Group as a “bunch of people who do not mean well for APC and Nigerians at large, but rather, their selfish interests.”

Ikonomwan who noted that President Buhari has failed to deliver on his campaign promises and so Nigerians can no longer entrust him with the leadership of the country, urged him to ignore such calls, adding that it is not in the interest of the nation.

“We are saddened that, these people are not sensitive to the plight of Nigerians. The fact remains that Nigerians are not happy with President Muhammadu Buhari and our party. the APC.

“President Muhammadu Buhari, has not been able to deliver on his campaign promises. What has this administration to campaign with in every sector of the economy or is it the fight against corruption that has been swept under the carpet?

“Even the political leaders and the people who fought for his emergence as President today have been abandoned and are all lamenting today.

“There is a total disconnect between the people and the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration. Poverty and hunger is now the order of the day in Nigeria as we speak. It is getting obvious by day that Nigerians can no longer trust President Muhammadu Buhari with the leadership of this country.

“If APC fields Mohammadu Buhari as its presidential candidate in 2019, we are afraid that Nigerians may stone us at campaign grounds. We may just end up giving the opposition party the presidency in 2019 on a platter of gold.

“However, we wish to call on President Muhammadu Buhari to ignore such call as it is not in the interest of Nigerians.

“President Muhammadu Buhari’s priority now should be how to use the remaining part of his administration to deliver on our campaign promises and do the needful by not indicating interest to contest in 2019,” the statement said.

Come, Lord Jesus - Copeland

Come, Lord Jesus
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
– 1 John 3:2-3

Hopelessness. As this age draws to a close, that's a feeling that's going to be more and more common among the people of this world. But, you know, it's something we as believers never have to feel! Because no matter how much pressure comes on the earth, no matter how dark the natural circumstances around us are, we know that we have hope in the soon return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Sometimes we forget that. We get our attention focused so intently on the natural things of this life that we lose that hope and get caught up in the hopelessness around us. But we don't have to let that happen.

A friend of mine once met a born-again Arab woman in the Middle East who was living proof of that. The woman was caught in a life most of us would consider almost unbearable. She was living in a war zone that had been torn up by violence. She faced the danger of bombs and bullets every day.

Now that Arab woman had no hope in the natural. Her country was being destroyed around her. She had to go to Israel to work and get money for her family because there were no jobs where she was, no way to make money. Things around her seemed to be going from bad to worse, but she told my friend she had hope because she knew that Jesus was coming back for her. And that hope kept her going.

So, if you're feeling hopeless, get your eyes off this world and get them on the soon return of Jesus. Not only will that raise your spirits, the Bible says it will purify you. It will cause you to live uprightly, to separate you from the sin and failure of the world around you. It will lift you into the joy and victory of God.

Think about this. When this old world comes to an end, you and I will just be getting started. We'll be stepping into the most glorious life we've ever known. The people of the world may look back wistfully and wish for better days gone by. But for you and me, the best is yet to come. So we can shout hallelujah in the midst of trouble and say with the Apostle John, "Even so, come, Lord Jesus." Come quickly!

It's Your Decision - Copeland

It's Your Decision
And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw [Jesus],he fell at his feet, And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live. And Jesus went with him.
– Mark 5:22-24

I wonder when God is going to do something about this problem! Have you ever asked that question? If so, you may be surprised to find out that the answer depends 100 percent on you.

There's an incident in Mark 5 that will show you what I mean. Jesus had just gotten out of a boat and people were pressing all around Him, "thronging Him," it says. They had Him shoved up against the shoreline when suddenly there came a man moving through that crowd to get to Jesus.

Throwing himself at Jesus' feet, Mark records, he prays and beseeches Him greatly, saying, "My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her... and she shall live."

Think about this situation for a moment. Here's a man who's politically on the level of the mayor of the city. But he's so doggedly determined to get to Jesus that he fights his way through the crowd and clears out enough room to fall at Jesus' feet. He's made a decision—and when he gets to Jesus, he says exactly what it is: Lay your hands on her and she shall live.

Let me ask you something: Who do you think is directing the ministry of Jesus here? This one man! A man who's made a decision. When he speaks that decision out, Jesus doesn't say anything. He just stops what He's doing, turns around and follows him.

In a crowd of literally thousands, the faith decision of one man is directing the actions of Jesus.

What does that mean to you? It means that if you're sitting around waiting for Jesus to decide to heal you... for Jesus to decide to help you...for Jesus to decide to prosper you and give you victory...you're in for a long wait. Because that's not Jesus' decision.

It's yours.

Osinbajo is a Liar, he Should Repent - Jonathan

OSINBAJO LIED AGAINST ME —JONATHAN
FORMER President Goodluck Jonathan has said Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, lied against his government by claiming that the last administration released the sum of N100 billion and another $295 million in cash within two weeks of the 2015 general election.
Jonathan, in a statement on his behalf by his Special Assistant, New Media, RenoOmokri indicated that the lies by the vice President were becoming characteristic.
The statement indicated that the claims credited to Osinbajo, while speaking in Lagos on Friday, at a “Greater Nigeria Pastors Conference,” that President Jonathan released the huge sums weeks before the election, was false.
“I make bold to say that the Vice President has once again taken to his characteristic habit of lying,” the statement read.
“Nigerians may recall that only last week, Vice President Osinbajo was in Anambra State, where he lied that the present administration had paid $2 billion for the second Niger Bridge.
“I had cause to expose that lie and forced the Presidency to issue a ‘clarification’. The money released was 2 billion Naira and it came from the Sovereign Wealth Fund set up by the Jonathan administration which the APC resisted and challenged in court.
“It will also be recalled that in February 2016, the Vice President again lied when he claimed that both the Jonathan and Yar’Adua government did not build a single road. This fact was easily disproved when even members of this administration, including Osinbajo’s boss, President Buhari, began commissioning projects, including roads built by the Jonathan administration.
“Nigerians will recall that the Jonathan administration rebuilt the Benin-Ore portions of the Benin-Lagos road,” Vom-Manchok road, the Kano-Zaria Road Bridge (named after late Emir Ado Bayero) and many more.
“On this recent allegation by the Vice-President, not only has the Vice President again lied, he is doing so to divert attention from the Maina scandal in which the administration in which he serves, by the testimony of the Maina family, invited Abdulrasheed Maina, the infamous alleged pension thief, back into the country, reinstated him, promoted him and deployed him as Director of Human Resources in the ministry of Internal affairs.
“When they were found out, the Presidency resorted to its favourite past time of blame game by preposterously accusing former President Jonathan of somehow magically being the brain behind Maina’s return. This is even as the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, had already revealed that he “acted in the public’s interest” in initiating the process for Maina’s return.”
“There is also the $25 billion Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation scam which is the biggest scam ever in the history of Nigeria since 1914 to date.
“Finally, Nigerians want to know the truth about the Babachir Lawal probe which has been concluded and handed over to the president many months ago but of which no action has been taken.
“Nigerians want to hear the truth about these scandals and not tired lies about looted funds that keep being recycled without proof.
“I would like to remind the Vice President that he is a Pastor and therefore conversant with the biblical admonition in Revelations 21:8 that “all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone.”
The statement further indicated: “It is not too late for the Vice President to turn a new leaf and begin to apologize to Nigerians for the three million jobs a year he and his boss promised, but ended up losing 4.5 million jobs in their first two years according to the Nigerian Bureau of statistics.
“If Vice President Osinbajo is looking for who to blame for the present sorry state of the Nigerian economy, he should buy a mirror.
““The rushed implementation of the Treasury Single Account policy of the Jonathan administration, the constant negative comments about our economy by the President while on foreign trips, the inconsistent foreign exchange policies of the government, the advice to the World Bank to focus only on Northern Nigeria, the openly pro Northern Agenda which gives promotion and appointments to persons of Northern extraction irrespective of merit or experience are to blame, not Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.”

Osinbajo is a pernicious liar - Fani- Kayode

In a tweet via his Twitter handle, Fani-Kayode, a staunch critic of the Buhari’s administration said Osinbajo peddles falsehood “just for a tiny morsel at Buhari’s table.”

The tweet read, “According to@ProfOsinbajo, @GEJonathan “doled out 100 billion naira and $290 million in 2 weeks just before the 2015 elections”.

“This is false. The VP has turned himself into a pernicious and unrepentant liar and a peddler of falsehood just for a tiny morsel at Buhari’s table.”

PDP Hijacks Buhari's Govt - Hameed Ali

Hameed Ali: PDP hijacks Buhari’s government

Hameed Ali: hammers his APC
The Comptroller General (CG) of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) Colonel Hameed Ali (rtd) has said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has not fulfilled its promises, half way into the journey of four years.

In an unsparing assessment of the party by an insider, Ali said the party is gradually losing its core values, vision and mission, adding that more than fifty percent of the positions in the Buhari government are being held by members of the PDP who fought against the actualisation of a Buhari Presidency.

The usually blunt retired colonel spoke today in Abuja at the commissioning of the office complex of the Buhari Support Organisation in (BSO). Ali is also a national co-ordinator of the group.

“We have won one battle by taking over power. But what we make of this power is very essential to us and to humanity. We must agree that we cannot finish our four years without delivering and leaving something to be remembered for in this country for a long time to come.

“We have no problem with our President because he is on course. But I must confess here that we have been infused by people who were not part of this journey and these people are the ones that call the shot today. That is why we are derailing. If we had the right people who had the vision and have been there in and out, I believe that we will not be going the way we are going today.”

“It is my belief that those of us who have been in the trenches all these years to get good governance will surely be sleeping with belly ache every day, especially in the recent past. Every day, when you wake up, there is a story that makes you shiver. We cannot, as a people who have fought and committed everything we had to bring this government to being sit back and allow things to happen the way they are happening.

“These people that are calling the shots today were not there and when the chips are down, they will disappear and melt within the system. We are the ones that will be asked to account for what happened.

“Are we willing to face Nigerians and tell them that we have failed? I think this is the time for us to come together, create a system that is very robust enough to fight back and take back government in our hands and ensure that we deliver.

“We believe that if you want to change the system, it will happen. Let me say that in the course of the jihad of the Prophet Mohammad, anytime they go out for a battle, they come back with loot, but these loot, as far as my own research told me is not distribute to everybody, but to those who took the sword and faced the enemies.

“We are the ones that will be asked to account for what happened. Are we willing to face Nigerians and tell them that we have failed? I think this is the time for us to come together, create a system that is very robust enough to fight back and take back government in our hands and ensure that we deliver.”

“But let me say here without fear of being contradicted that I think half way through the journey, we are losing our core values. We are losing our vision and mission and I think that the idea of our being here today is to look critically at what we need to do to get back on track.

“There is no doubt that we have derailed because we are not doing what we say we want to do. Why is it so? We need to find an answer to that. If we do find an answer, then what should we do to get us all back on track. We owe this great nation and the 180 million Nigerians the duty to give good governance. Good governance is what they voted for and good governance is what they expect to get and they serve that.

“We therefore, as BSO, have a great task ahead of us. My dear comrades, the battle and the job starts now. We have won one battle by taking over power. But what we make of this power is very essential to us and to humanity.

“Therefore, I want to take this opportunity to tell my colleagues here that we have to change the narratives. When we were out there Working and jumping on the street and reaching every corner, we were shouting change, change for a better Nigeria. Now, the key word is good governance for Nigerians”.

Col. Ali’s position was supported by Plateau state governor, Simon Lalong, who said state governors are not happy that they are left out of appointments being made by the government.

Lalong, who shared the sentiments of the Custom Boss also lamented that appointments into government positions are made without recourse to the governors, adding that those who do not have the capacity to defend the actions of the President have been the ones benefiting from federal government t appointments.

The governor said the government must be made aware that things are not working the way they should, saying “If things are wrong they are wrong, if they are right they are right. But it requires very courageous people to come out and say these thongs are wrong or they are right.

“Let the Mr. President be aware that this is the time to do it because even as governors we are also complaining in our various states, we are saying it. We complained in our states that we sit down and we hear appointment made and then people start asking you as the governor where is this man coming from?

“But when we turn right and turn left, we don’t know where such a person is coming from. Many people have complained. I’m sure governors have complained that we should be able to know who and who will Protect Mr. President and his administration.

“When I heard that BSO is coming back again, I said is it not too late because if you allow people to grumble too much, you will see fight in several states and some of them are for a just course.
Somebody suffered for the party, the person is not rewarded and you wake up to see another man who even fought you, the man who made you to lose your job is now being appointed and the one who suffered is sitting down. Sometimes he will be looking for tears to cry and the tears will not be there because they are dry.
“Like our chairman said to me, it is not too late. This is the time to start because this is the time you will hear a lot of things coming. People who have not serve will come back and say I had serve this way, I had serve that way but the records are there. The records can not tell lie. If it is true that they served this way, they served that way let the record”.

The event was chaired by Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora, the ministers of Defence, Niger Delta, Trade (State), Health (State), governors of Bauchi, Kogi and Plateau States, Senator Magnus Abe, among other APC bigwigs.

Similarly, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was represented at the occasion by the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Muhammed Musa Bello.

Return Nigeria's $321m Abacha Loot after 2019 - H

Return Nigeria’s $321 Million Abacha Loot after 2019 – HURIWA tells Switzerland

A pro – democracy and Non-Governmental organization – HUMAN RIGHTS WRITERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (HURIWA) has stated its resolve to write the government of Switzerland to ask for the repatriation of Nigeria’s $321 million Abacha loot to be put on hold till after the 2019 election to stop it from being re-looted.

The Rights group further said it would try to convince the Swiss administration to put the cash in an escrow and interest yielding account on behalf of the oppressed people of Nigeria until after the 2019 presidential poll because the atmosphere in Nigeria does not permit for openness, transparency and accountability at these moments under President Muhammadu Buhari.

“We believe that if these huge sums are repatriated now back into the hands of the political hawks and members of cabal in the presidency, the fund will surely disappear into private pockets and some fractions of the fund could be invested in seeking for a second term for president Muhammadu Buhari and could therefore jeopardize free, fair, peaceful, transparent and widely acceptable presidential polls in 2019.

In a media release signed by the National Coordinator, Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko and the National Media Affairs Director Miss Zainab Yusuf, HURIWA submitted that key cabinet members of the president Buhari’s administration including the Federal Attorney General Alhaji Abubakar Malami who announced the breakthrough about the imminent repatriation of the Abacha loot, are not committed to the vigorous campaign against corruption and crass violations of human rights by the government.

The Rights group said although the Constitution recognises that it is the duty of the Nigerian State to combat corruption and eradicate the rampant abuses of authority by public office holders, but it lamented that the current administration especially the Federal cabinet as currently constituted are not persons that are compliant to the constitutional demands of probity, integrity and accountability.

HURIWA said there are existential and pragmatic evidence to believe that there is widespread official theft of public fund going by the ugly fact that the current administration claimed to have spent Trillions of Naira in the building of infrastructures but millions of Nigerians can attest to the reality that public infrastructures have for long collapsed and haven't been revamped. The Rights group then wondered how these same public officials can be trusted to manage the Abacha loot if repatriated now as is being contemplated.

“These times are dicey. These times are dangerous particularly because of many reports of shady transactions amongst key federal cabinet officials of the president Buhari’s administration. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation is in a midst of $26 Billion contracts award scandal. The presidency is weighed down by serial cases of bribery and diversion of fund among which is the alleged diversion of over N300 million from the North East rehabilitation fund which led to the suspension of the secretary to the government of the Federation Babachir Lawal who is a personal friend of president Buhari. The Inspector General of police is in the midst of monumental allegation of fraud made by a top serving senator. Even the President is alleged to have approved the $26 billion contracts in the NNPC whilst he was on medical vacation abroad and wasn't constitutionally allowed to carry on with such transactions which even required oversight by procurement board of the Nigerian State and the amounts approved by far exceeded the statutory threshold one person".

HURIWA affirmed further:"The Federal Attorney General, the Interior Minister and the Head of service including the Federal Civil Service Commission are all involved in the scandal of the illegal reinstatement of the fugitive Alhaji Abdulrasheed Maina indicted in the alleged disappearance of N2 Billion public pension."
“Also, the Directorate of state services has on two occasions written damaging dossiers on the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Alhaji Ibrahim Magu that due to alleged links to corrupt persons and alleged benefiting from corruption, he is unfit and improper to be made a substantive head of EFCC.”
Besides, the Rights group submitted that the National Assembly does not look independent and non-corrupt enough to be able to provide strong institutional oversight functions to ensure that if the $321 million Abacha loot is returned now, it will not be re-stolen.
HURIWA even said that previous media reports had quoted the current President as exonerating the late General Sani Abacha from the allegations of large scale heist of public fund just as it then asked how the President Muhammadu Buhari can now be expected to receive the repatriated fund which he as the then opposition politician had argued that Sani Abacha never looted public fund as military dictator.
“We have already asked our team to send a letter to the Swiss government to plead with them to keep the Nigerian peoples’ money in a safe custody pending the conclusion of the 2019 presidential poll. We strongly believed that the present alleged suffocating corrupt tendencies amongst officials will not augur well for the transparent use of that money.”
HURIWA recalled that the Attorney General of Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, had revealed that negotiation with Switzerland on the return of $321 million recovered from the late Abacha family had been concluded, adding that Nigeria recently recovered $85 million from the controversial Malabu Restrained Funds from United Kingdom.
HURIWA quoted Mr. Salihu Isah, Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to Mr. Malami as saying that the attorney general stated this in his opening remarks at the Pre-Global Forum on Asset Recovery, GFAR, Consultative meeting with the theme: Building an Ending Framework for Asset Recovery in Nigeria on Thursday in Abuja.
HURIWA further stressed that Alh.  Malami said further that with the conclusion of negotiation, the Memorandum of Understanding will be signed by parties at the Global Forum on Assets Recovery meeting coming up on December 4 to 6 in Washington and that the repatriation would follow within weeks as agreed by the parties.
HURIWA however said it will make presentations in writing to all the relevant political authorities of the Swiss government to convince them to keep back the Nigerian peoples' money until such a time that a good government is elected after the 2019 polls.
HURIWA argued that the electioneering period for the 2019 polls has commenced and stated that the Abacha loot if returned now would be misused for political and selfish objectives.

Enjoy the Victory - Copeland

Enjoy the Victory
But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.
– 1 Corinthians 15:57, The Amplified Bible

Victors! More than conquerors! That's what the Bible says we are. I know you've heard that many times before, but today I want you to let the reality of it really sink in. I want you to spend some time meditating about what those terms actually mean.

The dictionary says that victory means "final and complete supremacy or superiority in battle or war, success in any contest or struggling involving the defeat of an opponent or the overcoming of obstacles."

To conquer means "to get the better of in competition or struggle, to master, suppress, prevail over, overwhelm, surmount, to gain superiority, to subdue, to vanquish, to crush, to defeat."

Once you get those definitions firmly in mind, you'll realize in Jesus you've gotten much more than a ticket to heaven. You've gotten the best of the world you're living in now. Through Him, you've overcome it, mastered it, suppressed it and prevailed over it.

No wonder 1 Corinthians 15:57 shouts, "Thanks be to God Who gives us the victory, [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ" (The Amplified Bible)!

Why don't you shout too! Shout thanks to God today for making you an overcomer. Praise Him that you are joined up with the One who has conquered the world, the flesh and the devil. Shout hallelujah and enjoy the victory!

The Life of Jesus is in You - Joseph Prince

…I [Jesus] have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

John 10:10
- OCTOBER 27 -
THE LIFE OF JESUS IS IN YOU
Though Jesus is completely God, He was born completely human. He went through temptation after temptation and conquered every one of them. (Hebrews 4:15) And all that overcoming power is found in His life. And He put that life in you—the life of Christ is in you!

During Jesus’ ministry on earth, He conquered sickness, the winds and waves, the powers of darkness and death. It is His life that brings victory over the devil and all his works. And He put that life in you—the life of Christ is in you!

Finally, Jesus went to the cross. And that life in Him put an end to everything that was natural of the Adamic race—sickness, poverty, failures, pains, curses and death. All that was natural ceased to be in that life of His. But all that was supernatural remained in Him. And He put that life in you—the life of Christ is in you!

Then, Jesus rose from the dead. And in that life of His was added the power of resurrection. And He put that life in you—the life of Christ is in you!

After His resurrection, Jesus went back to heaven to His Father. Today, He is seated at the right hand of God, resting in His finished work, occupying a place of the highest authority. And He put that life in you—the life of Christ is in you!

And because Jesus went back to the Father, the Holy Spirit came to indwell you (John 16:7), so that you will live life with His anointing in you and walk in His overcoming power.

All that Jesus is, God meant for you to be. All that He has, God meant for you to have. All the exciting things that you read in the Bible about Jesus, all the treasures of Him hidden in the Old Testament and the unsearchable riches in Him that you find in the New Testament, all of that life of His, is not out there somewhere. God has deposited all of it in you, so that you can live the abundant life that Jesus came to give you!

Don't Depend on Guesswork - Copeland

Don't Depend on Guesswork
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
– Jeremiah 33:3

Who do you turn to when you need help, when you need an important answer to an important question? Do you ask God first?

So many believers fail to do that! They'll stand around wringing their hands and talking to each other all day. They'll inquire of their pastor. They'll inquire of their friends. They'll inquire of their husband or wife. But do they inquire of God? No.

Don't make that mistake.

Instead, follow the example of King David. In 1 Chronicles 14, the Bible tells us he was about to face a battle with the very powerful Philistines who had all come out against him. The Philistine nation had been an enemy of Israel for years. David probably could have guessed that God would tell him to go to battle against them. But he didn't guess! He went to God and inquired, saying, "Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the Lord said unto him, Go up; for I will deliver them into thine hand" (verse 10).

Don't depend on guesswork. When you encounter a problem, seek the Lord through the Word and in prayer and ask Him what the solution is. No matter how much scripture you learn, no matter how fully you perceive who you are in Christ Jesus, you'll never outgrow your need to do that.

Go to the Lord and find out exactly what He wants you to do. Don't decide your course of action and then ask God to bless your plans. Go to Him and say, "Lord, what are Your plans?" His plans are already blessed. If you follow them, your victory is guaranteed.

I Will Never Connive Against Jonathan - Metuh

October 26, 2017

Press Statement

‘I Will Never Connive Against Former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, GCFR’ - Metuh

My attention has been drawn to a release by the Save Ijaw Nation Group wherein they alleged that the order given by the court in my trial was negotiated by me as a means of letting me “off the hook”. They also stated that I surrendered myself to be used to drag down former President Goodluck Jonathan and impugn on his character and person.

In the light of this and in deference to the former President, I have elected to make these clarifications personally.

First of all, I state unequivocally that I am completely innocent of the charge against me and therefore have no reason to negotiate with anybody to let me off a non-existent hook.

It is therefore inconceivable and completely ridiculous for anybody to think that I would for any reason betray or surrender myself to be used against President Goodluck Jonathan, for whom I have immense respect and served diligently, without any apologies, in and out of office.

To what end will I conspire with the same set of people who singled me out to be humiliated and openly handcuffed while spreading all manner of malicious stories against me, most of which they even denied outright in court while others remain completely unsubstantiated?

Ordinarily, the content of the charge against me in the Federal High Court should not breed any worries but for the fact that it now appears that the anti-corruption fight has shifted the burden of proof to a defendant once an allegation is made.

On the issue of conniving with the government against former President Goodluck Jonathan, the Save Ijaw Nation Group may be alarmed by successive media reports that he was ordered to be served on Tuesday with an instruction to appear the following day and subsequently given a five-day time limit; setting off a media frenzy as if the former president is needed for reasons more than a mere request by my lawyers for a corroborative evidence in my case.

I totally concede that this is not deserving of the status, person and image of the former President especially with his contribution and sacrifices to national development and sustenance of democracy in our dear country.

Without prejudice to all the foregoing, I accept that it was the need for corroboration of lack of mens rea on my part that led my lawyers to request for the evidence of the respected former President to assist them in proving my innocence.

However, with all the controversies arising from the reports of the said pronouncements and the attendant concerns thereof, I have instructed my legal team to revisit and review the entire issue of the subpoena.

In the past 20 months I have shouldered my travails personally and without seeking to involve any other individual and/or groups in this unfortunate saga.

I habour no ill feeling or malice towards none as I believe that with time, justice will surely be done in my matter.

Signed:

Chief Olisa Metuh.

MAINA: Garba Shehu Needs Psychiatric Evaluation - PDP

Press Release

October 26, 2017

On Maina, Garba Shehu Needs Psychiatric Evaluation

We are not surprised on the postulation by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Alhaji Garba Shehu in which he blamed the former Administration of Goodluck Jonathan as being responsible for the return of fugitive Abdulrasheed Maina. This is to say the least the height of absurdity.

2. The shenanigans surrounding the return of Maina who was under investigation and sacked by the previous administration of PDP is an issue Nigerians are privy to and even Maina’s immediate family have come out openly with their position that President Buhari was responsible for his return. May we therefore remind Garba Shehu in case he has forgotten that the current administration is that of the APC and not PDP, so we wonder how PDP will be responsible for the mess created by President Buhari and his cabals.

3. We had earlier in our response on this matter advised the government to properly investigate those responsible for this mess and bring them to justice and we still stand on that, because Nigerians are tired of excuses and blame game.

4. We reiterate that the body language of this APC government in the fight against corruption is mere propaganda and road-show. The idea of blaming every misdemeanor on previous administration is symptomatic of failure to deliver on promises and its time Garba Shehu and his likes resigns if they have nothing more to contribute in government.

5. Finally, we urge the APC led government to re-evaluate the inclusion of the likes of Garba Shehu in the administration. A man who is fixated on blaming each and every mistake of this government on the PDP has certainly run out of ideas, and must even have lost the capacity for rational thinking. We wonder the damage he may be causing to this country with his continuous stay as an Assistant to the President.

God bless the PDP! God bless Nigeria!!

Forgive and Let God the Rest - Joseph Prince

And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Ephesians 4:32
- OCTOBER 26 -
FORGIVE AND LET GOD DO THE REST
People like to say, “I can forgive, but I cannot forget.” Have you heard that before? Now, in the first place, nowhere in the Bible does God tell you to forgive and then to forget. It is not in the Bible! The devil is adding something here to make the whole thing burdensome.

God only tells us to forgive because God in Christ has forgiven us a debt we cannot pay. When we do this, we do ourselves a favor because harboring bitterness and unforgiveness can sometimes destroy our health!

So just forgive and let God take care of the rest. When you really forgive, sometimes, He makes you forget. But sometimes, you still remember the incident because it was a major thing in your life. Yet, when you look back at it, the pain is no more there. The sting is gone and you are not bitter.

Joseph had forgiven his brothers before they came and bowed before him. He remembered what they did to him, but he did not remember it with bitterness. (Genesis 50:15–21) So you may remember the incident, but the bitterness is gone because you have put the cross in the picture—“God in Christ forgave me. Daddy, I forgive you. Mama, I forgive you. My cousin, I forgive you.”

When you forgive, forgive by faith, not by your feelings. We walk by faith, not feelings. (2 Corinthians 5:7) Some people are waiting for feelings—“I am waiting, Father, for the right emotion to come on me to forgive that person.” That “right emotion” may never come!

No, forgive by faith, and do it once and for all. Spend time in prayer. Take out your diary and write it down: “Father, I bring this person before you. You know what he did to me. Father, as You forgave me through Jesus’ cross, even though I did not deserve it, by faith, I now forgive this person and I let my anger against him go in Jesus’ name. Amen!”

Once you forgive by faith, you will see the sting of bitterness removed from your heart. You will experience the peace and joy of God filling your mind, and see a greater measure of wholeness in your body!

True To Your Assessment - Joseph Prince

…the priest shall set a value for it, whether it is good or bad; as you, the priest, value it, so it shall be.
Leviticus 27:12
- OCTOBER 25 -
TRUE TO YOUR ASSESSMENT
Your colleague says that this week is going to be a lousy one because the new boss is mean. You disagree and say that it is going to be a blessed week. Both of you will go through the same week, but with very different outcomes. While your friend’s week will indeed turn out to be a lousy one, yours will be filled with the favor of the Lord!

In the Old Testament, when someone brought what he had to the priest for a valuation, whatever the priest assessed the value of the item to be, it was so. If he assessed it to be of good value, then it was of good value. If he assessed it to be of poor value, then it was of poor value.

Today, you are also a priest because of Jesus’ blood. (Revelation 1:5–6) And “as you, the priest, value it, so it shall be”. If you assess your year to be one of financial breakthroughs, so it will be for you. If you assess your life to be filled with divine health, so it will be for you.

There was a stroke patient who was bedridden. While listening to my recorded sermons, he assessed that with God as his salvation, his life would be long and satisfying. (Psalm 91:16) He believed that God would help him walk again. Not too long after his assessment, he was able to walk and was no longer bound to the bed! The next assessment he made about his health was complete recovery with God as his helper.

Actually, you have more authority than the Levitical priests of the Old Testament. They were of the old priesthood of mortal men. But you are of the greater and “forever” priesthood of Jesus! (Hebrews 7:8, 17) Not only that, you are a king-priest. (Revelation 1:6) In other words, you are a king as well! And as a king, your assessment is also binding because where the word of a king is, there is power! (Ecclesiastes 8:4)

My friend, this means that you have a double portion of assessment power. Therefore, boldly assess good things for your life, and it will be so for you!

Get Rid of the Frogs

Get Rid of the Frogs
When shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses?
– Exodus 8:9

Have you ever wrestled with one of those problems that stubbornly refuses to go away? It seems to be immune to all solutions. You swat at the thing in every conceivable way, but instead of being eliminated, it expands and multiplies until it's wildly out of control.

An Egyptian pharaoh faced just that kind of problem, the Bible tells us, thousands of years ago. He was in a hot dispute with God over the future of the Israelites, and as a result of that dispute, he woke up one morning to find his country swarming with frogs. Slimy, smelly, hopping-all-over-the-place frogs.

It was a serious problem. I'm not talking about a frog or two in the front yard. I mean frogs were everywhere—in their beds, on their tables. Big old frogs in the ovens. Little bitty frogs in the bread dough and the drinking water. Frogs. Frogs in your hair. Frogs in places you wouldn't even want to think about!

Then God made a move. He sent His man Moses in to Pharaoh to ask, "When shall I entreat the Lord to get these frogs out of here?"

Do you know what Pharaoh said?

"Tomorrow."

Can you imagine that? He could have said, "Right now! Today!" But instead he decided he'd spend one more night among the frogs.

You say, "That's the stupidest thing I ever heard. Why in the world would he say tomorrow?" I don't know. Probably for the same reason you want to wait until tomorrow to get saved or healed or prosperous.

Here's what I want you to notice. When Moses asked Pharaoh that question and he answered, "Tomorrow," Moses said, "All right. So that you know there's a God in heaven, be it done according to your words."

Let me ask you this: How long are you willing to let that persisting problem harass you? When are you going to get rid of the frogs in your life? Do you realize they'll stay around as long as you'll let them? They'll be there until you finally make a quality decision to go with the Word of God and get them out.

Why don't you do it today?

MAINA: HURIWA Carpets Malami Over Unbelievable Defence

*MAINA: HURIWA CARPETS MALAMI OVER UNBELIEVABLE DEFENCE:

*TASKS AGF TO PRODUCE ALH. MAINA FROM HIDEOUTS:

A pro-transparency and non-Governmental body – HUMAN RIGHTS WRITERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (HURIWA) has asked the Federal Attorney General and Minister of Justice Alhaji Abubakar Malami (SAN) to resign honourably over his less- than- impressive role in the reinstatement of the fugitive – Alhaji Abdulrasheed Maina to the civil service.

HURIWA said the role played by the Justice minister as shown by his letter to the Federal Civil Service Commission permitting the reinstatement of Alhaji Abdulrasheed Maina amounted to a transgression against the Constitution since the beneficiary of his letter was a wanted man by the nation's anti-graft agency over alleged disappearance of humongous amounts of pensions meant for elder statesmen/women who had laboured for many generations in the service of fatherland.

The Rights group said the nation’s chief law officer's role in the controversial reinstatement of the alleged public pension fraud suspect into civil service even when the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was searching frantically for him for prosecution smacks of selfishness on the part of the AGF and is absolutely intolerable.

Besides, HURIWA has called for a comprehensive and transparent probe by an Independent Judicial Commission of the entire debacle trailing the disgraceful recall of Alhaji Maina even when he was been sought for over alleged theft of N2 Billion public pension.

The Rights group said there was the need to uncover circumstances surrounding the frequent infighting between the EFCC and the Federal Attorney General to know if this issue of Maina’s recall was pivotal in the intractable public spat.

“Nigerian State must take the opportunity and historic window offered by the whole tales of the sad reinstatement of Alhaji Maina to reorganize the anti-graft mechanisms. The president must clinically reorganize the hierarchies of EFCC; DSS, and immediately appoint a competently principled legal practitioner devoid of partisan attachment as the Federal Attorney General and Minister of Justice. The frequent open spats in the media between the Director General of Department of State Services (DSS) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s acting Chairman on one hand and between Minister of Justice and EFCC’s acting chairman on the other hand smacks of a government at the center that is yet to come to terms with the most pragmatic and professionally effective ways to wage determined war against corruption. These disgraceful public squabbles represent a major threat to national security.”

The Rights group faulted the defence put up by the justice minister that his role in the Maina's recall scandal was based on public interest, because the same Federal Attorney General failed to exercise his authority to professionally compel president Buhari to respect the Constitutional Independence of the judicial arm of government and respect the several bail orders made in favour of erstwhile National Security Adviser Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd) and the leader of the Islamic movement of Nigeria Sheikh Ibrahim Elzackzacky.

“The ongoing controversy trailing the reinstatement of Abdulrasheed Maina has revealed the under belly of self-centeredness within the office of the Federal Attorney General who has failed to discharge his official duties as spelt out in the constitution.”

Specifically, section 174 (1) of the 1999 constitution provides as follow: “174.-(1) The Attorney-General of the Federation shall have power-(a)   to institute and undertake criminal proceedings against any person before any court of law in Nigeria, other than a court-martial, in respect of any offence created by or under any Act of the National Assembly;(b)     to take over and continue any such criminal proceedings that may have been instituted by any other authority or person; and(c)       to discontinue at any stage before judgment is delivered any such criminal proceedings instituted or undertaken by him or any other authority or person.(2)    The powers conferred upon the Attorney-General of the Federation under subsection (1) of this section may be exercised by him in person or through officers of his department.(3)    In exercising his powers under this section, the Attorney-General of the Federation shall have regard to the public interest, the interest of justice and the need to prevent abuse of legal process."

HURIWA expressed consternation that the same minister of Justice who has taken almost eternity to begin the prosecution of detained terrorists of boko haram, and has failed to compel his boss to respect section 6 of the constitution by abiding with decisions of courts of competent jurisdiction in the matter of Dasuki and El zackazacky is the same person who rapidly recommended the resumption of a fugitive from the law who has been on the wanted list of the EFCC.

HURIWA said the EFCC too has serious question to answer as much as the DSS and the minister of Justice in the unfolding Maina's scam following emerging facts that the fugitive has always been in Nigeria even as the Rights group said the AGF must produce Alhaji Maina since he acted for him with clear official letter recommending his reinstatement.

HURIWA wondered why it took the EFCC the open embarrassment of the illegality of the reinstatement of the fugitive for the anti-graft body to hurriedly reactivate mechanisms to seek the arrest of Maina including the eye-service of sensationally marking the alleged housing assets of Alh. Abdulrasheed Maina in Abuja and Kaduna.

The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, it would be recalled, had reportedly broken his silence on the allegation that he spearheaded the recall, promotion and posting of Maina to the Ministry of Interior.

Malami, who spoke to a journalist on Tuesday's night, said he would rather respond to the avalanche of allegations against him when he formally appears before the Senate, which had summoned him to speak on his role on the entire saga.

Malami, who did not make reference to anyone, nonetheless, described the allegations made against him as ‘a grand conspiracy and mischief’ but did not explain who the conspirators were and what the mischief was.

HURIWA recalled that Malami in the brief media encounyer had sought to clear himself of the weighty allegations, when he said thus: “I am a legal practitioner, who is always guided by law and public interest and will therefore not do anything that deviates from the law or breaches public interest".

“I believe that Nigerians are entitled to know the truth in the entire saga and I am ready to speak directly to them when I appear before the Senate since I have been summoned by the legislature, which is investigating the matter. “I will not however talk until I get clearance from my principal on the matter and I look forward to addressing anxious Nigerians on the matter when I appear before the Senators,” the minister said.

HURIWA said the AGF should resign honourably for bringing dishonour to his office or be dismissed by President Muhammadu Buhari for the sake of restoring sanity to the implementation of the anti-graft crusade which has waned considerably and muddied up by the cabal.

Shehu Sani Makes a Mockery of Buhari's Antigraft War!

Shehu Sani Makes a Mockery of Buhari’s Rotten Cabinet – Shocking!
The referee ruled that Mainaldo's goal was offside; that was after the spectators protested. The linesmen blaming each other.
What is the definition of CABALOCRACY?
Corruption has become a cat with nine lives. It used to be hosted under the shade of an umbrella (PDP) now it's swept under the carpet (APC).
The Head of the Head of Service must not roll as she has cleared the air on the Headmasters (cabals – Malami, Dambazzau and Kyari)  for the Head of state.
The recall of Mainaldo (Maina) is to replenish the loss of Babachez (B D Lawal) who was a striker and leading goal scorer for the Dynamo Cabal.

God Has Seen Your Future And It Is Good - Joseph Prince

“Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.
Isaiah 54:2
- OCTOBER 24 -
GOD HAS SEEN YOUR FUTURE AND IT IS GOOD!
At the end of 2004, during one of our services, the Lord told our church this: “I your God have gone ahead of you and I have already been to your future. I have seen it. And I declare that it is good.”

Although this word was given through me to our church, I believe that it is not only for our church, but also for every member of the body of Christ.

I tell you, when God declares your future good, it will be good! It will be filled with many wonderfully good days!

So what do you do when the Lord tells you that you are going to have a good future loaded with His blessings? You prepare for it! In other words, before the blessings come, before the increase comes, He wants you to enlarge the place of your tent and stretch forth the curtains of your dwellings.

For example, if you are believing God for a child, start reading books on babies and preparing the baby’s room. In fact, prepare to have more than one child. Start looking for a bigger place for your family for God says, “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.” Get ready for expansion!

My friend, God wants you to get ready, and expect such favor and increase in the days ahead that “you shall expand to the right and to the left, and your descendants will inherit the nations, and make the desolate cities inhabited”. (Isaiah 54:3)

Because God has declared your future good, know that you stand on favor ground today. Expect good things to happen to you. Expect to see the favor of God on you and your family. Expect the blessings and increase of the Lord. Expect many good days to show up in your life!

God Goes Too - Copeland

God Goes Too!
But the person who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him.
– 1 Corinthians 6:17, The Amplified Bible

I once heard about a great man of God who looked in the mirror every day when he put on his suit and said, "Suit, everywhere you go today, God goes in you." And you know, he's right. If you have united yourself to God by receiving Jesus as Lord, everywhere you go today...God goes too!

As believers, we need to start becoming more conscious of that. We need to train ourselves to be constantly aware of God inside of us, talking to us, teaching us, counseling us, empowering us and enduing us with Himself.

We need to continually remind ourselves that we are one spirit with Him. That means that every time we face a problem, every time we face an evil spirit that tries to influence and hinder our lives, God is facing it too. When we meet those things, God meets them. And He's already overcome them!

Let me encourage you when you get dressed today to look in the mirror and say, "I am united to the Lord and I have become one spirit with Him. Body, everywhere you go today...God goes. God is in you. The power of God is in you. The wisdom of God is in you. The victory of God is in you."

Say that to yourself every day—many times a day. Keep doing it until you begin to develop the habit of thinking that way. Cultivate a constant awareness of the reality of God living in you!

See Yourself in Christ - Joseph Prince

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

Ephesians 1:3
- OCTOBER 23 -
SEE YOURSELF IN CHRIST
I remember going through a terrible time of depression when I was 18 years old. Believing that I was demon-possessed, I sought out a great man of God to have him cast the devil out of me. But when this man of God laid hands on me, he began to prophesy over me. He said, “Joe, I see you preaching to thousands and used by God to impact thousands of lives. Joe, you are called by God and the devil is attempting to stop you.”

“What? I came here for deliverance! I am only interested in saving my own life, not preaching nor impacting lives,” I thought to myself then.

You see, what happened was that at that moment, God allowed this man to step into the timeless zone He exists in to bring my future before me. As far as God was concerned, my future had already happened, though I was only 18 years old then. Today, I am a pastor of a church which has more than 30,000 members. Today, I am seeing what was told to me long ago.

God does not see as we see. Abraham was a childless, 100-year-old man. His wife, Sarah, at 90 years old, was doubly dead in her womb. (Genesis 17:17) Yet, God saw him and talked to him as if he were already the father of many nations.

My friend, God wants you to see the way He sees. Right now, you may see yourself going through a trial in your marriage, work, finances or health. But God sees a blessed marriage, success at work, supernatural provision and a healed body because He tells you that you are already blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

You see, God sees you in Christ. So when you see yourself in Christ, who is outside time, you step into the timeless zone. In that timeless zone in Christ, whatever needs and trials of yours are already removed, repaired, restored or resurrected! In that timeless zone in Christ, you are already blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places!

CHOOSE LIFE - Kenneth Copeland

Choose Life
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
– Romans 8:6

If you were given the choice between life and death, which would you choose? The answer seems obvious. But, in reality, it's not.

You see, choosing death doesn't necessarily mean jumping from the nearest cliff. It's much more subtle than that.

The Bible says death is being carnally minded, being entangled in this present worldly realm. The Bible also tells us what life is. "My son, attend to my words," says Proverbs 4:20-22, "...for they are life!"

To be worldly minded is death. To be Word-minded is life.

In Luke 10, there's a story that illustrates this principle extremely well. It's the story of Mary and Martha. You probably remember it. Mary was sitting at Jesus' feet listening to Him teach while Martha was bustling around in the kitchen cooking dinner for everyone.

Finally Martha couldn't stand it anymore. She came to Jesus and said, "Lord, don't You care that my sister has left me to do all the work myself? Tell her to help me!" Jesus answered, "Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: but one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her" (Luke 10:41-42).

Mary had set everything else aside, so she could hear the Word. But Martha had let the seemingly important business of living take priority over the Word. She'd chosen death, not life.

You see how easy it is to slip into that?

"But Brother Copeland," you say, "if I didn't spend all my time taking care of the business of living, my life would fall apart!"

Oh, really? Martha probably thought that too. She probably thought if she didn't cook dinner for all those folks, they'd go hungry. But they wouldn't have. Jesus had miraculously fed multitudes before and He could have done it again in Martha's home. She could have plopped herself down at Jesus' feet, and they could have had a banquet at God's expense!

Don't make the mistake that Martha did. Don't get so entangled in the business of living that you choose death by default. Decide to put the Word first place. Choose Life!

Go Forth O Knight of Righteousness: A poem by Fani-Kayode

GO FORTH O KNIGHT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS: A POEM BY FFK

Love God with all your heart and soul. Resist the devil and his agents and emissaries. Fight against evil. Stand up for the weak, the vulnerable, the persecuted and the oppressed. Speak truth to power.

Bless the poor. Be merciful to the young. Defend the old. Challenge the rich. Let courage and faith be your shield.

Let strength and honor be your armour. Let the Ancient of Days be your rock and your salvation. Let the love of humanity and the desire for good and charitable works be your purpose.

And most important of all, torment the tyrant, give him sleepless nights and slay him with your sword.

Go forth O Knight of righteousness, go forth in the name of the Lord. Go forth in His power and in His might, defying the odds and despising the shame. Go forth, go forth, seeking the glory that is rightfully yours.

Go forth, go forth, with sword in hand under His banner of love. Go forth, go forth, with head held up high for He shall surely give you the land.

IG Donated Cats to Buhari's Wife - Misau

SENATOR: IG DONATED VEHICLES TO BUHARI’S WIFE
The last may not have been heard in the allegations of corruption and counter-allegations by Senator Isah Misau (Bauchi Central) and the Inspector- General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, on alleged abuse of office. The Federal Government had, last Thursday, arraigned Misau before an Abuja High Court on a fivecount charge bothering on alleged injurious falsehood against the IGP, Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Police Service Commission (PSC).
The senator, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge and was consequently admitted to bail in the sum of N5 million, with two sureties in like sum. However, part of the documents in his (Misau) defence before the court was a Police document which showed that the IG approved two Jeeps for the wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, and a bus for the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru.
But a top police source, who prefers anonymity because the case is pending in court, said that there is nothing illegal in the donation as there is no law which bars government agencies from assisting each other. He, however, denied that vehicles were donated to the President’s wife.
He rather stated that the vehicles were given to the police officers attached to the President’s wife. According to the documents before the court cited by New Telegraph, the vehicles were approved for the President’s wife early this year, in response to a request signed by one SP Sani M. Baba-Inna, ADC to the wife of the President. In the letter, dated January 17, 2017 and addressed to the IGP, the ADC requested for Toyota Sienna Space bus and Toyota Hiace Bus to compliment the vehicles attached to Her Excellency, the wife of the President.
The ADC further stated in the request letter that the said vehicles, if approved, will be used to support Her Excellency’s private movement and utilities. In a response to the request, the Office of the IGP on January 18, 2017 directed the Force Transport Officer to provide two Jeeps for the wife of the President.
In the same vein, the office of the IGP, on August 8, 2016 approved the release of a bus for NIPPS, Kuru. The approval was sequel to a letter of request dated August 8, 2016, signed by the Institute’s Acting Director General, Jonathan M. Jumai. In the said request letter, dated 8th August 2016 titled “RE: REQUEST FOR INTERVENTION IN THE ACQUISITION OF PROGRAMME/ VEHICLES AND CONSTRUCTION OF DIRECTING STAFF QUARTERS”, the Acting Director General of NIPSS, Kuru, one Jonathan M. Juma, requests the IGP’s assistance in the construction of one “Directing Staff quarters (4-bedroom bungalow)”.
The letter reveals that the NIPSS had requested “programme vehicles for the use of its Senior Executive Course Participants” and their “Directing Staff”, ostensibly for use during their local and “strategic studies tours”; Juma then indicates that the Institute will be “highly appreciative” of the IGP’s assistance in that regard. In the document sighted by our reporter, the IGP then inscribed “Approved” on the correspondence, and to minute it to the Force Transport Officer (FTO).
The IGP inscribed a handwritten note in the margin of the letter directing the “O/C ALL” to “issue one (1) bus with inscription Donated by: The Nigeria Police Force.” It is the contention of the defence team that such approval by the Office of the IGP may have contravened the police budget for 2016 and 2017 since there was no provision for same in the approved budget.
However, in his further reaction to the document, the police source said: “There are police officers in the Villa, that is, Mopol 24, they are in the Presidential Escort. They use police vehicles and, as such, they have right to request for vehicles from police, if they have additional needs for vehicles because all those attached to the Vice President and the President’s wife are police officers.

The wife of the President did not request for any car from the IGP, rather it is the police attached to her that requested for additional vehicles to complement the ones they have. “For me, I don’t think, there is anything in that, that is abnormal. For NIPSS, there is an interagency co-operation. For instance, there are military, police officers and others serving in NIPSS. So, if NIPSS is requesting something from the police, if the police have it, they can give it to them. It is just like War College. You know that every year, the IG goes to lecture them, same way, the Chief of Army Staff does.

During the lectures, each of the organisations promises what to do for them. Even as at the now, the police have promised to help with their library. “IGP did not give out the vehicle  in his personal capacity, lest it will be said that he used police money to give out gift to NIPPS and wife of the President. But, since it is official, there is nothing wrong in it.
There is nothing wrong for an organisation to partner with another towards achieving a goal. “For example, in the police, if we are having joint operation, we can call on the FCT to assist us with vehicle. Like the Ministry of Works, they can donate vehicle for police, during Highway Patrol, even they buy cars for Road Safety. So, there is nothing wrong for one agency to assist another agency. “NIPSS is a government agency and they can request for the assistance of another government agency. “It is not compulsory that the gifts you give out be included in the budget,” he stated.

Let Not Heart Be Troubled - Joseph Prince

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you…Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 14:27
- OCTOBER 22 -
LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED
The night before Jesus died, He gave His peace to His disciples—“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you…” This peace was not just for His disciples, but also for us today. We have His peace.

The moment you believe in Jesus Christ, He who is the Prince of Peace comes to live inside you. And when the Prince of Peace resides in you, every blessing that you will ever need pertaining to your soundness and wholeness is already inside you.

“Pastor Prince, if this is true, then why do I still see problems in my health, finances, family and relationships?”

The answer is a troubled heart. That is why after Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you,” He said, “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

A troubled and fearful heart works like fingers that clamp down hard on a water hose. The supply of water is flowing from the tap, but little or nothing is coming out at the other end of the hose. God’s ever-present supply of blessings toward you is like the water flowing freely from the tap. But you don’t see the blessings when you allow your heart to be gripped by worry or fear.

So when fearful, anxious thoughts come, remind yourself of Jesus’ words: “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” Even when things appear to get worse, say, “Lord, I refuse to worry about this. In the midst of all this, I see the finished work of Christ. He said, ‘It is finished!’ So my child’s healing is accomplished. My marriage is blessed. My debts are cleared. I will let not my heart be troubled by these things.”

Beloved, I cannot “let not” for you. Your family and friends cannot “let not” for you. Only you can “let not your heart be troubled”. So guard your heart from being troubled. You don’t have to guard your career, reputation, children or even health. When you guard your heart, God will guard everything else for you!

When Tough Times Come - Copeland

When Tough Times Come
Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.
– Acts 9:31

There are times when life on this earth is hard and uncomfortable...and even downright painful. When those times come, you deeply need the comfort that only the Holy Spirit can bring.

How do you receive that kind of comfort?

By doing just what the believers in Acts did. By “walking in the fear of the Lord.”

Now, when I talk about “the fear of the Lord,” please understand, I’m not saying you should be afraid of God. He’s your Father! You should be as secure and unafraid when you come before Him as a child who knows he is dearly loved. But you must also have so much respect for Him that whenever He reveals something you need to do, you do it immediately—even if it goes against your natural desires. That’s walking in the fear of the Lord.

Let me show you what I mean. Once, several years ago, I received a very disturbing phone call shortly before I was to preach at one of our meetings. It was painful news about a situation in which one of my children had been wronged. The news of it wounded my heart.

I cried, and in the natural, I wanted to get angry about it, to strike back in some way. But instead, I began praying in other tongues. As I prayed, I was prompted in my spirit to rejoice and praise the Lord.

I certainly didn’t feel like praising. I felt like stomping my foot. But, out of respect to the Lord, I put my feelings aside and obeyed. Next, the Holy Spirit impressed me to read a particular prophecy. As I did, I could tell I was being strengthened.

Then suddenly, I realized I was free. By my obedience, I had opened myself to the comforting power of the Holy Spirit. The anger and pain that had filled me just moments before were gone! They had been replaced by the gentle love and reassurance of the Lord.

No matter how tough or painful a situation you may be facing today, trust and obey the directions of your Father. He will make that same supernatural, Holy Spirit-inspired comfort available to you!

Boko Haram Terrorists Still Control 3 LGs - UN

Boko Haram Terrorists Control Three Lgs - UN

The United Nations has said in spite of efforts by the Nigerian military to contain the menace of terrorism in the North-east, three local government areas in Borno State still remain completely inaccessible to aid workers as a result of the threat posed by the Boko Haram sect. The organisation, which stated that though accessibility to most parts of the crisis-ravaged region could improve at the end of the rainy season, however raised the alarm that the same circumstance could equally increase the rate of attacks from the terrorist group.

In its monthly report, titled, “North-East Nigeria: Humanitarian Situation Update” for the month of September, the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), while highlighting the prevailing security challenges, argued that many local government councils in Borno State were no longer accessible for humanitarian aid. It stated that insecurity, presence of mines, improvised explosive devices, and unexploded ordinances had continued to slow down the response of humanitarian agencies in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states.

While not specific about the particular local governments affected, the UN reiterated that in the three affected states, three local governments remained completely inaccessible, with 26 partly accessible, and 37 fully accessible. It added that all the inaccessible and most of the partially accessible local government areas were in Borno State, the birthplace and hotbed of the Boko Haram insurgency.

However, a source in Borno State identified the three unreachable local councils as Abadam, Kukawa, and Mobbar.

“Most roads to the south, south-west and east remain unusable due to security concerns and most humanitarian personnel movement is done through air assets. Cargo, however, is being transported via road with armed escorts as a last resort,” the UN said.

According to it, “No humanitarian aid is currently reaching locations in these LGAs outside of the LGAs’ main towns called ‘headquarters’. Major humanitarian supply routes towards the west, north-west and north are open for humanitarians without the use of armed escorts. Following advocacy efforts, Konduga and Mafa are now also accessible to aid groups without military escorts.”

But the UN has complained that the failure of donors worldwide to fully meet their financial commitment towards the North-east has made it impossible for interventions. The UN said, “As the response enters the final quarter of the year, additional funding is needed to meet the targets laid out in the 2017 Humanitarian Response Plan. Certain sectors that are key in kick-starting the transition into the recovery phase, such as Health, Education and Response and Recovery Planning have continued to be dramatically under-funded with 21, 12 and 5 per cent of the required funding received as of 30 September.”

But the Director of Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen. Sani Usman, while speaking to THISDAY, said the Army would not comment on the matter until it had studied the report. Usman noted that while the Army was not in a haste to dispute the UN OCHA report, it would be discreet in responding to such report.

But in what seemed like a confirmation of fears raised in the UN report, Boko Haram insurgents at the weekend abducted three young women in Maggar village of Madagali council, Adamawa State. Chairman of the council, Yusuf Muhammad, confirmed the abduction to THISDAY and revealed that the women were abducted by the insurgents while working on their farms on the outskirts of Maggar village He said soldiers and local hunters had been mobilised to track down the abductors with a view to rescuing the victims. But at the time of filing this report, there was no news on their whereabouts.

Muhammad lamented that the insurgents had been launching a series of attacks on his council, saying proactive measures need to be taken by the federal government to curtail the attacks in the area. Eyewitnesses from the area have also confirmed the development.

Magar is a remote village, about 25 kilometres from Gulak town, the headquarters of Madagali Local Government Area. The area had fallen to Boko Haram control before its liberation by the military in 2015.

Thisday.

Another Gruesome Killing in Lagos by the Crocodile Soldiers

20th October, 2017

PRESS RELEASE

CROCODILE CRY II:
ANOTHER GRUESOME KILLING IN LAGOS STATE/ SOUTH WEST...

Gentlemen of the press

On behalf of the entire members and good people of block village, around Marwa area of Lagos state, along
Maroko police station do hereby express our pains and agony over the intentional killing of
MR. SODIQ ISMAILA ON TUESDAY, 17TH OCTOBER, 2017 AT ABOUT 1.15PM
AGE 20 YEARS FROM ONA-ARA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA IN IBADAN,
OYO STATE who was murdered by men of Nigeria Army code named “CROCODILE
SMILE 2” attached to the Epe Army Barracks, Lagos State led by their Commanding Officer:
Major Ibrahim Maja and his boys without any records of criminality on the dead victim nor iota of provocation or any necessity for security
red alert of the area as black spot or challenge, killed the innocent boy and left with his body
in their armored vehicle in order to cover up their arrant brutality, atrocities and shameful conducts.

This deadly invasion occurred during their show of strength leaving behind tears, sorrows and
blood of many innocent souls including Paul Abudu, Hamed Afolabi and others.

I must emphatically state that the said victim Mr. Sodiq Ismaila was shot in the head and his
body was asked to be carried by Musa Muhammed, Adamu Dandi and other two arrested injured victims into their
armoured vehicles and fled the scene, information reaching us is that they killed two other
unidentified arrested persons from the block village on their way to Epe Barracks.

it must be
noticed that the army came into the area ion Sunday 15th October, 2017 around 10:00pm
where they arrested 75 innocent men and women and took them to their barracks to serve
several punishments: sleeping on an open field overnight and cutting of grasses without
justification of offence committed and they were transferred to the lagos state taskforce team
and all of them are now serving at Badagry prison remand.

We laconically dispel the lies been posited by the 81 division army spokes man LFT. COL.
Olaolu Dauda who said they acted on creditable information to kill their target one Mr.
'Ahmed Sodiq A.k.a Bambi' who is clearly different from the victim that was killed Mr. Sodiq
Ismail an innocent boy who is an apprentice of tailoring looking for daily food and money for his freedom slated for Saturday 21st October, 2017 back in Ibadan only to be killed at his place of work where he was molding blocks
without any traces of criminal records till date.

This brings us to the question, when did the army assume police duty of civil investigation and prosecution?, nor was crocodile smile 2 meant to destabilise south west?

We demand for the release of his body and independent forensic investigation into the murder
by the Lagos State Government and setting up of the court marshal to try and prosecute all the
culpable soldiers.

We are using this medium to seek from the Lagos State Governor Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode to clarify the serving of the five days demolition notice on the said people of block village
and the entire area is not a conspiracy and predetermined agenda by their army invasion from
Epe barracks where he hails from to do the hatchet jobs rather than soldiers from near by Bonny
cantonment, based on similar previous Olokonla demolition of 16th December, 2016.

Hence we demand for full investigation and justice as well as the immediate unconditional release of the remaining 67 persons arrested and remanded at the Badagry prison.

This shall set a precedence for justice in Yoruba Land and Nigeria as a whole.

We have emphatically spoken...
