BREAKING- KACHIKWU: Resign as Minister of Petroleum - Senator Sani tells Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari should resign as the Minister of Petroleum if he wanted genuine sanity in the oil sector.

Senator Shehu Sani (APC Kaduna Central) who made this call on his Facebook account cited the leaked Ibe Kachikwu letter as his reason. He advised Buhari to appoint a substantive minister who would be held responsible for any sharp practices.

His words, "President Buhari should disengage from being a Petroleum Minister and appoint a substantive minister whom the nation can hold accountable to the happenings in the nation oil industry. The President position as a minister can drag him into issues in the oil  sector of which he has limited time to attend to.A broom immersed in oil cannot sweep clean."

Sani promised that the allegation will not be swept under carpet.

"We will investigate Mr Kachikwu's allegations against the GMD of NNPC.The cash cow must not be a sacred cow."
