Excerpts Of The Address Read By The Director, Media And Publicity Of The PDPPCO,Over The Contract For The Controversial Card Reader

Excerpts Of The Address Read By The Director, Media And Publicity Of The PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode Over The Contract For The Controversial Card Reader Which Clearly Shows Why APC Wants The Card Readers Used At All Cost.
Ladies and gentlemen of the press,

it is with a heavy heart that we are compelled to share with the Nigerian public the following sensitive information which we believe, if not handled properly and looked into, is serious enough to effect the outcome of saturday's presidential election in a negative way.
Before we go into detail permit me to make an important assertion which cannot be overstated or overemphasised. That assertion is as follows: the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation and our candidate President Goodluck Jonathan are not in the least bit worried about what the outcome of saturdays election will be. We believe that we have the backing and full support of the Nigerian people and we believe that we shall not only win but that we shall win convincingly.
Whatever we share with you here today does not in anyway mean that we shall not participate in saturdays election or that we are worried about how we will fare. The fact of the matter is that we shall not only participate but we are also very confident of winning. We believe that the Nigerian people will give President Goodluck Jonathan a fresh mandate for the next four years regardless of the shenanigans of the opposition and those that are covertly working for and with them.
The purpose of this briefing and of sharing the following information with the Nigerian people is simply to ensure that they are fully aware of what is going on and to enable our security and intelligence agencies to ensure that INEC does the right thing, answers some of these questions and put their house in order so that the outcome of the election is not in any way questionable.
We cannot sit by idly and remain silent when a desperate group of ruthless and greedy little men, in collusion with their friends in the APC, rob the Nigerian people of their historic opportunity to elect a President of their choice. This they intend to do by sitting in a dark room somewhere and rigging the election in the most sophisticated manner even before it holds.
This is unacceptable and it is incumbent upon us, as a responsible, accountable and sensible campaign organisation to expose the rot, point out the dangers of doing nothing about it, finger and identify those those that are involved and call on the authorities to do something about it before it is too late. We shall share this information in good faith and we shall then leave the matter for necessary action by the relevant security agencies and authorities.
Our concerns stem from the fact that the moving spirit and a major shareholder and board member of the company that supplied the card reader system and machines to INEC is not only a friend of but also an ardent and keen supporter of General Mohammadu Buhari and the APC. That man's name is Sani Musa and he is indeed the main force behind the company. The company's name is Act Technologies Ltd. and the Chairman of the company is one Engineer SK Danladi.
How and why INEC would give the contract to supply the card readers to a fanatical APC supporter and to a man whose other company was officially blacklisted by INEC a couple of years ago for sharp practices, needs to be explained. Sani Musa has expressed his undying support for the APC and General Buhari and his hatred and virulent opposition to the PDP and President Goodluck Jonathan openly and publicly on his Facebook wall. Some of his comments on facebook read as follows: ''1'' and ''2''. Photocopies of his Facebook wall where these comments were made and his picture will be made available at the end of this briefing.
Worst still, it is clear that certain aspects of and electronic components within the card reader system which will be used in saturday's election have not only been compromised but that the encryption codes and so-called ''master key'' may have been made available to the opposition or their friends and agents. This will enable them to access the system, fabricate and generate fake votes and manipulate the voting patterns to their advantage.
This constitute a very serious breach of security and it is a criminal offence. It is also very dangerous. Worst still it can easily be carried out successfully because, if done quietly and properly and without any deep scrutiny, it is virtually fool-proof. All you need to make it work is to have certain relevant and key INEC officials that are in the know to work closely with the supplier of the card readers and an opposition party that is so hungry and desperate for power that they are ready to pay large sums of money to their friends and associates to help them get it by hook or by crook.
We believe that all those components are now in place and that the biggest and most brazen attempt to rig elections in the history of our country will take place on saturday if the necessary measures are not taken to prevent it. If the conspiracy is not exposed, if the Nigerian people do not rise up and demand answers, if the plan is not intercepted and aborted, if the Chairman of INEC does not answer the relevant questions and take the necessary steps and if the relevant individuals, including Sani Musa and his collaborators and co-conspirators in INEC and the opposition, are not called to order, arrested, interrogated and prosecuted their plan may well succeed.
In view of this dastardly plan that is in the offing and this unwholesome conspiracy, we call on the party leadership and faithful to direct our supporters and polling agents to be very vigilant at every polling booth and to guard and protect their votes. After voting they should stay at the polling booths to ensure that their votes are counted and that they are not manipulated or changed.

52 REASONS WHY BUHARI SHOULD NOT RULE NIGERIA AGAIN BY BAYO OLADEJI

1. General Muhammadu Buhari and other khaki boys interrupted the democratic rule in 1983 and since that time, Nigeria has not been moving as expected. India has overtaken Nigeria and the Asian Tigers have also done so. If Buhari denied Shagari the mandate freely given to him thru ballot with bullets, the same man should not be allowed to rule us again.
2. The military intervention destroyed our economy. I will give you one example. Before Buhari regime, there were no Tokunbo cars in Nigeria and in fact, cars were manufactured in Nigeria. I remember very well that in 1980, I bought 4 505 Peugeot saloon cars each at N5250 at Alhaji Amao Motors Ojota for a company I was working for. Today, how many Nigerians could afford Tokunbo cars not to be speaking of new cars?
3. Before Buhari sacked the Shagari government, Naira was at par with the US Dollar, and it was acceptable anywhere in the western world but the military regime destroyed Naira. Nigerians used to travel abroad with Naira during the Shagari regime.
4. Buhari regime was authoritarian and despotic, he clamped down on the press with the obnoxious Decree 4 of 1984 which forbidden publication of stories that could embarrass his government, whether true or false! Two journalists were sentenced, Messrs Nduka Irabor and Tunde Thompson of the GUARDIAN Newspaper. Leaders who could do this to the press could do anything to survive.
5. Buhari made use of retroactive law to kill three Nigerians Lawal Ojuolape (30), Bernard Ogedegbe and Bartholomew Owoh (26) – They were executed by firing squad under the orders of General Buhari, not for armed robbery or murder, but for being couriers of some illicit drug and currencies. One of them, Ogedegbe did it before the decree came into being! All appeals made to him fell into a deaf ear.
6. Before Buhari regime, Nigerians did not need visa to enter UK as a member of the Commonwealth of Nations but it was during his time that Nigeria lost the privilege. Up till today, people with the passports of other Commonwealth nations like Ghana, Cameroon and others do not need visa to enter UK. Blame Buhari for that.
7. Buhari showed his tribal sentiment in his policy when he put President Shehu Shagari in house arrest but locked up his deputy, Dr Alex Ekwueme in prison.
8. Buhari also began his hatred for the South and the Christians when he picked a fellow northerner and a Muslim, Tunde Idiagbon, his deputy.
9. Buhari’s ADC, Jokolo allowed his father to carry some 53 brief cases from the airport without being searched during the changing of the currency. Atiku Abubakar was the head of the Nigerian Custom for the MM Airport then.
10. Buhari-Idiagbon junta embargoed juvenile travel to Mecca for Holy pilgrimage but Idiagbon took his son to Mecca. The same leader sanctioned the Ooni of Ife and the Emir of Kano for traveling to Jerusalem without his approval
11. Buhari government jailed many southern governors for alleged corrupt practices whereas only the governor of Kano state, Senator Bakin Zuwo was jailed in the North. It is on record that those who were jailed in the Southwest like Chief Bisi Onabanjo of Ogun state were jailed for giving money to the UPN!
12. Buhari would not allow those who were jailed in the South access to medication while in prison and this led to the demise of the trio of Prof Ambrose Folorunso Ali, Alhaji Busari Adelakun, the commissioner of Agric to Bola Ige, Ayo Ojewuyi and Chief Onabanjo.
13. Chief Adekunle Ajasin was found innocent yet Buhari ordered his continued detention. Hear Prof Femi Aribisala, “Buahri used the defunct NSO to arrest, detained and maimed several people who criticized his government. Under the Buhari/Idiagbon regime, once you ended up at 15 Awolowo Road, you may never be heard of again. Decree Number 2 of 1984 empowered Tunde Idiagbon to arrest and detain anybody indefinitely without trial and without legal reprieve. After Buhari was overthrown, Mohammadu Gambo opened the prison doors of 15 Awolowo Road on public television, revealing people in various stages of undress and malnutrition that had been kept in the dungeons without trial by Buhari’s hound-dogs.”
14. Buhari has no single development he brought to the South while his despotic era lasted. I dare any Buharists to fault me.
15. When General Sani Abacha came calling, Buhari was the only former Head of State who collaborated with him despite his anti-Yoruba policies which led to the murder of some, including the wife if the man who won the annulled election, Chief MKO Abiola. Many Yoruba were jailed while some were sent into exile. There was never a time Buhari publicly called for their release.
16. Buhari manifested his love for power when he asked Abacha to amend the decree that brought PTF to make him the Chief Executive Chairman whereas the Executive Secretary, Tayo Akpata was cut into sizes. Whoever doubts this should ask General Oladipo Diya.
17. Buhari concentrated the PTF projects in the North with about 78% while the South shared the remaining!
18. Buhari used his influence as the Executive chairman of the PTF to build him an estate in Kaduna off Sultan Road.
19. Buhari does not forgive, he keeps malice. According to President Shagari, when Buhari returned to Nigeria after finishing a course, he was posted out of the Lagos Garrison where he was and ran to him to complain. But along the line it was discovered that it was Alhaji Umaru Dikko who asked the then Chief of Army Staff to redeploy him because “he heard rumours…that the change in his posting was prompted by alleged misgiving in his loyalty to the administration…ironically, it was this same officer who later became the Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and allegedly ordered, among other things, the abortive forceful repatriation of Umaru Dikko from the UK through abduction in a crate!” (Shehu Shagari: Beckoned to Serve, page 452).
20. On his anti-corruption tag, Femi Aribisala has reminded us of his attitude to corruption with the disappearance of $2.8 billion as Petroleum Commissioner under General Obasanjo.
“Under Buhari’s watch as Petroleum Minister in the late 1970s, $2.8 billion (worth billions of naira today) was missing from the NNPC account. The matter was subject to Senate investigation under the chairmanship of Olusola Saraki in 1983. But before the report could be dealt with, Buhari conveniently overthrew the Shagari government in a military coup d’état.
“Vera Ifudu, an NTA newscaster, revealed that Saraki told her in an interview that the missing money was traced to Buhari’s account at Midland Bank in London. For this disclosure, Vera was summarily sacked by the NTA. However, she appealed against her dismissal in court and won. She even received a handsome financial compensation for wrongful dismissal from the NTA. Instead of clearing his name as a man of integrity, Buhari refused to appear before the Oputa Panel set up to look into the matter (among under things) by the Obasanjo administration.”
21. Buhari claims to be an anti-corruption crusader, nevertheless, he agreed to serve under Sani Abacha, one of the most corrupt Heads-of-State ever in the history of Nigeria. While there has been no proven allegation that Buhari corruptly enriched himself as Chairman of the Petroleum Trust Fund under Abacha, it is abundantly clear that this fabled anti-corruption crusader failed to curb the rampant corruption that prevailed in the organization. Group Captain Usman Jibrin, a board member of PTF, resigned from the organization in protest over Buhari’s irregular appointments of consultants. In 2000, the Obasanjo administration set up an Interim Management Committee to look into the affairs of the PTF, under the chairmanship of Haroun Adamu. The Committee discovered that billions of naira was stolen under Buhari’s chairmanship.
22. Buhari at the launching of the Sharia in Zamfara by Governor Sani Yerima asked Muslims to vote for Muslims in the 2003 election. If he is not fanatical who is he?
23. Buhari at a function in Kaduna publicly said he would support any attempt to spread Sharia to the South?
24. Buhari was the only member of the National Council of State, during the Obasanjo regime who said the Council did not stop the launching of the Sharia Law in the country and this was where he became the hero of the North and not in anything else!
25. Buhari, until of recent, has never spared a word in condemning President Goodluck Jonathan for declaring war against terrorists. He once said when President Umaru Yar Adua was in the office, he used Presidential jet to bring Jonathan’s brothers to Abuja and later gave the militants amnesty but Jonathan is killing my own brothers! I read this in THISDAY Newspaper.
26. He has never seen anything wrong with the terror attacks until of recent. For example, at a meeting with Governor Rabiu Kwankaso of Kano when the APC leaders went to lobby him, Buhari said the Boko Haram terrorism was a “strategic plan” by the government of Goodluck Jonathan to “destroy the North.” And When Jonathan declared a state of emergency in Yobe, Borno and Adamawa states, Buhari still saw this with Northern goggles, insinuating that the President is waging war on the North.
27. General Buhari has never been a democrat. For example, he forced the ANPP leadership to adopt him as its Presidential candidate in 2003 and 2007. Senator Sani Yerima and Senator Alimodu Sheriff are still alive.
28. Buhari imposed all the governorship candidates of the CPC in all the states and replaced those who won. At least, I know the story in Kano, Katsina, Kaduna and Bauchi states.
29. All the key holders of his CPC are Muslims, none is a Christian! Which means if elected, he would repeat pro-Northern agenda which the late President Yar Adua did. Under Yar’Adua, strategic sectors of the national economy were zoned exclusively to the North. For example, the Minister of Finance, Mansur Mukhtar, was from Kano; the Minister for National Planning, Shamsudeen Usman, was from Kano; the Governor of the Central Bank, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, was from Kano. The Chief Economic Adviser to the President, Taminu Yakubu, was from Katsina. Moreover, the National Security Adviser, Major General Abdullahi Sarki Mukhtar was from Kano. The Chief of Army Staff, General Abdulrahman Dambazau, was also from Kano; The power sector of the economy was also zoned to the North. The Petroleum Minister, Rilwanu Lukman, was from the North. The Group Managing Director of the NNPC, Sanusi Barkindo, was from the North. The Director-General of the National Petroleum Directorate, Alhaji Bello Gusau, was from the North. The Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), Mustapha Rabe Darma, was from the North. The Group Managing Director of the NNPC, Abubakar Lawal Yar’Adua was from the North. The Acting Director of the Directorate of Petroleum Resources, Aliyu Sabonbiri, was from the North. The Director of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, Abubakar Sambo, was from the North. The Chairman of the Transition Board of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN), Bello Suleiman, was from the North.
30. When he lost in 2011, his unguarded utterances led to the killing and burning of PDP and pro-FG supporters in the North including some 10 Youth corps who were murdered in Bauchi state.
31. Buhari has no consideration for others. For example, once he lost out in every election since 2003, he ignored other elections and would not even vote.
32. Buhari wanted to run a Muslim-Muslim ticket in 2015 election as if there is no Christian merits being his number two!
33. As observed by Aribisala, “Buhari wants us to believe that he cannot afford 27.5 million naira. Nevertheless, he rides around in a bullet-proof Jeep and maintains a convoy of Land Cruisers. He cannot afford 27.5 million naira. Nevertheless, he declared his candidacy lavishly in Eagle Square, Abuja. Did he also take out a bank loan for that?”
34. Buhari has threatened to turn Nigeria into a hell if he lost the next tear election when he said unapologetically in a BBC interview: “If what happened in 2011 should again happen in 2015, by the grace of God, the dog and the baboon would all be soaked in blood.”
35. When Buhari and IBB were asked to appear before the Justice Oputa Panel probing the human rights violations in Nigeria, both of them did not honour the invitation. This means a lot to me.
36. Buhari has told the whole world that he would never contest for the presidency again but he could not honour his word. This is not a hallmark of a gentleman.
37. Buhari has been boycotting the National Council of State for political and selfish reasons but when President Jonathan asked him to come to be honoured, he ran there!
38. If the first coming of Buhari did not benefit where I come from, his second coming would not.
39. The APC Platform which Buhari is about to use has been discriminating against my religion in the Southwest and supporting such a political party means an endorsement of the ungodly policy.
40. In the APC of today, there are so many people with alleged corruption tag and one of them who is facing charges of embezzlement and misappropriation as the governor of Bayelsa is one of the foot soldiers of Buhari. This tells me how the corruption war would be fought if elected.
41. Buhari is part of the conspiracy to stop a South-South man from ruling Nigeria and this is the first time someone from the South-South minority is ruling Nigeria which the North has rule for not fewer than 38 years!.
42. Buhari is inconsistent and his words suffer integrity. He told the whole world in 2011 sobbing vowed never to seek any elective post again but today he is desperate for the same elective office. He vowed never to accept a Pastor as his running mate at an expanded meeting of the APC NEC held at the Rivers State Governor Lodge, Asokoro Abuja but today he goes about with Pastor Yemi Osinbajo.
43. Buhari lies that the Army is having his credentials but the Army Command has faulted him telling him “ we don’t keep original credentials of our officers and soldiers”.
44. Buhari has lied under oath over his certificate, what he presented as statement of result was everything but genuine.
45. Buhari has become a stooge to Tinubu who wanted to use him to mortgage Nigeria.
46. Buhari is running his campaign with the stolen money because he had told us he got his nomination form on loan but today uses two private aircraft to run his campaign.
47. Buhari on the facebook lied that he visited the Chibok community when he went to Maiduguri for electioneering but the spokesman of his campaign, Garba Shehu has to quickly set the record straight that it was a mixed up.
48. Till this hour, Buhari has never apologized to the victims of his tyrannical regime instead he rationalizes all his wicked actions.
49. Till today, Nigeria is the only country where a woman was shot at stake publicly under the watch of Buhari.
50. The leadership style of Buhari is so complex that 30 years after he ruled, he could not produce anyone as his disciple who could do exactly what his age and health would not allow him. WHAT A LEADER!
51. Would any of the Buharists come out to tell us what their hero has done to end the menace of terrorism unleashed on the land by his brothers.
52. We are aware of how Buhari and Tinubu asked Pastor Tunde Bakare to commit perjury in 2011 by asking him to resign on a fogged letter head of the State House before the election purposely to allow Tinubu steps in as the vice president! But Bakare was smarter, he refused to do so. But today, we are told Osinbajo has resigned in advance for the same reason. Are these leaders or desperate power thirst people?
