Kcee Bought My First Ticket To Lagos From Calabar For Project Fame-Iyanya

MMMG lead act, Iyanya is very grateful to Limpopo crooner for the role he played in his life. Iyanya launched his 4th studio album ‘Applaudise’ on Saturday night with a concert at Thisday Dome, Abuja.

While on stage, Iyanya was emotional as he brought Five Star music act, Kcee on stage to thank him for buying him his first ticket to Lagos from Calabar, Cross River State.

It should be recalled that Iyanya was then working at a local Karaoke bar in Calabar before he came to Lagos. He was close to tears at his album launch as he brought Kcee on stage and said:

‘I really thank my big brother Kcee, he was the one that bought me my first ticket to come to Lagos, he helped me with getting the project fame ticket back in 2008 as well’.
Iyanya later emerged the winner of the debut edition of the MTN Project fame in 2008. This was the turning point of his music career.

It’s King Sunny Ade’s birthday today! With a record of over 123 albums within the span of 40 years, Nigeria’s very own king of enjoyment and Juju Pioneer is considered as one of the most influential musicians of all time in Nigeria.

In 1982, King Sunny Ade was signed to Island Records. The same year he released the album, Juju Music. The album was so good that it was received with great reviews as Rolling Stone Magazine called it ‘breathtaking‘.

His follow up album Syncro System was nominated for a Grammy in 1983.

Bishop David Oyedepo and his wife Faith Oyedepo are celebrating their 33 years together as a couple. The revered couple own and oversee Living Faith Ministries (Winners Chapel), church not just in Nigeria but worldwide.

The ministry owns two major universities (Covenant University and Landmark University) as well as secondary schools and primary schools all over Nigeria. The popular Pastor who is said to be worth US$150 million also owns four private jets worth billions of naira.

Oyedepo is the senior pastor of Faith Tabernacle, a 50,000 seat church auditorium, reported to be the largest church auditorium in the world by the Guinness Book of Records 2011.

The couple are blessed with four children and grandchildren: David Jnr, Isaac, Love and Joyce Oyedepo. Three of his children, David, Isaac and Love Oyedepo are all married.
