…Says His Grief Is That Of
A Bad Loser
The Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party,
PDP, Bro Felix Obuah says it’s surprised that the All Progressives Congress,
APC, Governorship candidate in the April 2015 general elections, Dakuku Peter
is still unable to come to terms with himself after losing to a more qualified
and popular PDP candidate, and State Governor, Chief Barr Nyesom Wike,
describing his allegation of mortgaging the State against Governor Wike as the
outburst of an aggrieved loser.
The PDP State chairman through a press statement by his
special Adviser on Media and Publicity said if Mr. Dakuku Peterside had meant
well for the State, he would happily join other well meaning Rivers people to
thank God for Governor Wike’s vision and laudable achievements in only five
months in office.
But rather than conceding to a better choice and more
creative leadership, Bro Obuah noted, the failed APC governorship flagbearer
had continued to dish out outright falsehood, blackmail and malicious
information aimed at causing disaffection between the people and the State
Government under Wike’s command.
According to the State PDP boss, Mr Dakuku Peterside by not
being appreciative and for failing to acknowledge Gov Wike’s superiority for
doing just in five months what he, and his benefactor, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi
could not do in four years he (Dakuku) served as Commissioner for Works,
portrays him as an ingrate he is, and should rather hide his head in shame.
For avoidance of any doubts about the obvious difference
between the Wike administration and the Amaechi administration which Dakuku
Peterside was to perpetuate if he was elected as Governor but God forbid,
Prince Obuah has challenged the lamenting Peterside to drive round the Port
Harcourt metropolise and see if he could still recognize those roads and
streets that were impossible for him and his boss, Amaechi to fix for eight
years.
Not seeing and acknowledging the marked difference, the
State PDP chairman stressed, is simply being blind and naive on the part of
Dakuku Peterside.
Outlining other landmarks of Governor Wike for which Mr
Dakuku Peterside should forever respect and thank Gov Wike, include the
clearing of backlog of arrears of Civil Servants’ salaries and pensions,
incurred by Amaechi and reactivation of none-functional schools scattered
across the State by Chibuike Amaechi without teachers and basic facilities.
On the disbandment of the State Traffic Management Agency
(TIMARIV), Bro Obuah said it was necessitated by the burden it was turned into
by Amaechi’s failure to pay them regularly, which accumulated to over eight
months of salary arrears which in turn forced most of the staff to metamorphose
to mere touts and extortionists in order to make ends meet.
He insisted that the State is now better managed and secure
under Gov Wike who has demonstrated enough will through his support and
donations to the security agencies in the State, the result of which criminalities
across the State have relatively reduced.
The State PDP chairman is convinced that the State of
insecurity both in the management of the economy, the fictitious bank loans
alleged by Mr Dakuku Peterside and
threat to lives and property only exists in the mind of the APC failed
governorship candidate which possibly is a sign of going berserk.
