Criticism Is The Price To Pay For Being A Celeb – Eniola Badmus

Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has been the centre of controversies recently with the fan always getting bashed by fans and more often than not it always has to do with her fashion.

The actress has been getting a lot of criticism over her septum ring for instance but she said she has grown used to criticism and learnt to develop a thick skin to it. According to her criticism is sometimes the price to pay for being a celeb.

“I don’t dwell on criticisms and negative comments. As humans, whether we like it or not, there are people who won’t like us no matter how nice we are. One thing I have learnt about Nigerians is that the ones who are quick to criticise you today are the same people who would praise you tomorrow all of a sudden.”

“So, sometimes you don’t have to care so much when criticism comes because soon you could be getting praises from same bunch of people. I have learnt to overlook so many things but then I love everybody equally regardless of whether they criticise or praise me. I do what I feel is best for me at any particular time. A lot of negativity comes with fame. It is the price you have to pay for being a celebrity.”

Saint Obi Fire Shots At Critics, Calls Them Narrow-Minded People

Veteran Nollywood actor, Saint Obi who recently revealed he has ventured into music with his own record label, Agwhyte Music, and has released three songs and a music video has replied criticism from people on social media.

The former star pained by the barrage of negative feedback took to his Facebook page to reel out his CV, his financial successes, family successes and more.

Below is what he wrote:

“It’s amazing how some narrow minded people on social media abuse d privilege of social space by insulting or misrepresenting other people. I have kept quiet for too long & sustained fallacies become facts if not debunked in good time. So, here are the facts…

Through the grace of God almighty and diligence, I am a self-made success story… financially and otherwise.

I trained myself thru University of Jos where I earned B.A. Hons in Theatre Arts; became a self-made millionaire in 1998. My first car was Mercedes Benz 500 S-Class, which I blew up in my film, TAKE ME TO MAAMA.

I am a personification of humility. Therefore, I hate to sound immodest but all my life, strive for quality and perfection have been my greatest passion & assets [above money or parochial considerations].

God sees a good & selfless heart; hence He blessed me in 2006 with the prettiest, loyal, strong, focused & obedient wife [who became CTO Nigeria LONG after we got married; whom I initially denied being CTO Uganda because my family being together was more important than any career or financial gains]. Reports have it that Davido’s Father, Deji Adeleke is presently in a messy divorce with his estranged wife, Teju Adeleke.

The divorce suit is reported to be currently in court in Osun State but the judge Justice A. O. Oguntade, at the state High Court, Ede, bared journalists from covering it or reporting it.
The billionaire business man, Deji Adeleke and his estranged wife, Teju are also alleged to have been living separately for a while now.
It was also gathered that during the court proceedings, the judge asked journalists who were present in court on Monday to vacate the court room and the same thing was also repeated yesterday, Thursday, November 19, when chief Adeleke was in court.

Sagging Is Immature And Irresponsible – Naeto C

In an interview with Punch, Nigerian rapper Naeto C revealed that he is not a fan of sagging as it does not portray one in good light in front of a client. According to him, now that he is older, he has come to pay attention to his image and considers sagging immature and irresponsible.

I grew up and realised it looked stupid,When I was a younger artiste, I did not care much about my image. But now that I am grown, I pay attention to my image because the people I perform for are my clients.
“My client is a mature person who obviously can afford my services. You don’t want your client to see you as irresponsible because tomorrow, when you go to the same client for a business proposition, he would not take you seriously if you are sagging. The client would see you as immature and irresponsible. I think being mature and responsible made me stop sagging.”
