NSCDC SET UP PANEL OF INVESTIGATION ON DIVERSION IN LAGOS STATE COMMAND

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps  (NSCDC) , Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu ,has directed for the immediate investigation into the claim of diversion of the stipend paid personnel of the NSCDC Lagos State Command who participated In the Joint Task Force (JTF)  operations in Lagos State, as published in PUNCH Newspapers of Tuesday November 24,2015.
The NSCDC by this release wishes to make it point clear that the caption “NSCDC BOSS ACCUSED OF DIVERSION”  is wrong, as the caption which is supposed to focus squarely on the NSCDC  Lagos State Command, is now directed to no less a person and office of the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu. The NSCDC demands an unreserved apology from the PUNCH Newspapers for the wrong caption.
Gana who frowned at the incident in the Lagos State Command, reiterated that as the Leader of the Agency his primary care is the welfare of the Officers and Men of the Corps who put their lives at risk in the line of duty to make Nigeria safe.
According to him, “I am not happy with this incident in the Lagos State Command, the truth in this matter will be unearthed in due course, I have set up panel to investigate the matter for appropriate action.”
The CG who made  this declaration at the National Headquarters of the NSCDC, in Abuja, charged the Officers and Men not to be deterred in their collective efforts to make Nigeria a safe haven.
Abdullahi promised that the welfare of Officers and Men of the Corps must be given them in full always.
