institute, Major General Lawrence Onoja (rtd) paid him a courtesy call
at the Kano Government House on Thursday.
Dr.
Ganduje lamented that "Plateau state is having a number of security
problems ranging from social, religious and tribal. I believe your
Institute should sponsor a study, because Jos, is your host and as the
nucleus of policy making in the country. I think you should sponsor a
study to find out what is actually happening in Plateau so that you
should be able to advice the federal and state government to see that
the long existing security problems in the state are solved."
The
governor argued out that the proposed study would serve as social
responsibility of the NIPSS to the host community, adding that resolving
such societal problems is the bedrock of a wholesome society.
The
governor further tasked graduants of the Institute to come up with the
better ideas on how things can be put in good shape for the rapid
progress of the country.

the graduants at their disposal, in order to assist the government with
good strategies that would solve their immediate and long term problems.

for possible ways of consulting NIPSS Alumni in order to benefit from
their experience.

transform the state civil service in conformity with international best
practices.

governor stated this when the chairman and members of Kano Civil
Service Commission paid him a courtesy call, adding that already, a
plans are on to computerize the service.
He,

implemented considering the fact that most of the civil servants in the
state are not computer literate, adding that with the introduction of
SERVICOM into the system gradually civil service would be reformed.
