BOKO HARAM POISONS WATER SOURCES IN SOME VILLAGES

BOKO HARAM POISONS WATER SOURCES IN SOME VILLAGESInformation reaching the Theatre Command, OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE indicates that Boko Haram terrorists have now resorted to poisoning water sources like wells and streams in areas they were dislodged by gallant troops or areas threatened by offensive operations.

The latest being the poisoning of the cattle water ponds in KANGALLAM village along MARTE and ABADAM axis in Borno State where a large number of cattle died after drinking water from the ponds. Credible information available to the Theatre Command indicates that though no human life was lost as a result of the barbaric act of the terrorists, however, some cattle were killed after drinking water from some poisoned sources.

The action of the terrorists is no doubt aimed at taking their own pound of flesh on the innocent citizens and livestock as a result of the unbearable offensive operations through the combined effort of the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Air Force to route them out completely from their enclaves and hide-outs all over the North East.

In view of this development citizens are called upon to avoid as much as possible drinking water from unverified sources especially in locations that troops routed out Boko Haram terrorists.

DHQ INAUGURATES NATIONAL COMMITTEE FOR THE CREATION OF SAFE CORRIDOR IN THE NORTH EAST OPERATIONAL THEATRE

In accordance with a presidential directive, the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has, this afternoon, inaugurated a national committee to oversee the creation of safe passageway into the mainstream Nigerian society for members of the Boko Haram terrorists. Boko Haram members pencilled for reintegration are those forcefully conscripted into the group and those who have already surrendered and given up their membership of the sect and those willing to renounce their membership.

Members of the committee comprise relevant federal government agencies involved in the counterinsurgency operation and representatives of states in the North East and Jigawa.

The Committee’s terms of reference include; to identify implementation partners and establish their responsibilities, to establish a framework for coordination of implementation agencies, to determine funding requirements and sources, to identify technical assistance needs and possible sources, to outline broad information strategies in collaboration with implementation agencies, to determine location of assembly areas, encampment sites, IDP Camps as well as safe corridors and routes, and, finally, to determine the overall security requirements and concerns in the counterinsurgency operation.

The Committee which has one month for its assignment will also tackle the creation of mobile offices, access roads, feeding and medical treatment for the IDP, skill and vocational training for the IDP, joint media centres and the establishment of necessary structures and receptive centres to resettle repentant terrorist members.

So far, military operations in the contested area have yielded remarkable successes, following the immediate review of the security forces strategy, approach and concept of operation designed to neutralize the operational capabilities of the terrorists and rout them out before the year’s end.

Several strongholds, hideouts and camps of the BHT have been cleared and taken over by our military forces.  Many children and women captives of Boko Haram have been released and currently undergoing rehabilitation process in the various established internally displaced persons (IDP) Camps.

Already, to ameliorate the suffering of the IDP, the DHQ and the services have embarked on aggressive quick impact projects which have significantly improved their wellness.  Notwithstanding all these efforts and achievements, the intensity and momentum of the ongoing counterinsurgency operations have not subsided as most of the terrorists have been decimated through ongoing clearance operations with their logistics supply routes blocked and lines of communications extended, as part of the final onslaught to neutralize the Sect completely.

About 315 terrorists members have surrendered and are being detained and isolated  camps to ensure that the terrorists submit to state control.  The current unfavourable situation for the terrorists in the battlefield has resulted in large number of the insurgents willing to surrender their arms to embrace peace.
Governors of states of Jigawa and Adamawa were represented at the inauguration ceremony.

PDP Calls For Patriotism ….Urges Respect For President Buhari

55th Independence Anniversary: PDP Calls For Patriotism
….Urges Respect For President Buhari

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) charges Nigerians to use the occasion
of the nation’s 55th Independence Anniversary to rekindle the spirit of
patriotism, while exhibiting actions that promote democratic ideals and
peaceful co-existence at all levels in the country.

The party said the occasion reminds of Nigeria’s common root and destiny
as well as her resilience and determination to succeed in all spheres of
life as a strong, united and prosperous nation, irrespective of her
challenges.

The PDP, in a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary,
Chief Olisa Metuh on Wednesday, congratulated the citizens for keeping
faith in the Nigerian project and working together in building a strong
nation and one of the fastest growing economies in the world.

The party however urged Nigerians to use the anniversary to recommit to
respecting their leaders at the local government, state and national
levels, while paying adequate reverence to national symbols and
institutions.

“In this regard, the PDP urges all citizens to have full respect for the
office and person of the symbol of the leadership of our great country,
the President. The President can be constructively criticized, but under
no circumstance should he be abused or insulted in any way and under any
guise whatsoever.

“On this note therefore, we expect those around our dear President to be
cautious and desist from actions and utterances that tend to set him up
for public ridicule”, the party stressed.

The party congratulated the nation for giants strides achieved since
independence, especially within the 16 years under the PDP
led-administration, during which enviable milestones were recorded in
critical sectors of the polity.

It assured that even in opposition, it would continue to ensure that the
country is not dragged back to the dark years of dictatorship by firmly
defending the tenets of democracy and provisions of the constitution.

The party insisted that the feat achieved through the successful conduct
of 2015 general elections and the smooth transition, all resulting from
the democratic disposition of PDP leaders, must be sustained, as the
country cannot afford to degenerate from its globally acclaimed
democratic credentials.

It also commended the military for the success recorded in the fight
against insurgency in the country even as it commiserated with all those
affected by the senseless acts of terrorism and violence. It also
charged those behind the bloodletting to have a rethink and understand
that their actions cannot be justified under any guise.

The leadership of the PDP prayed for abiding peace in the country and
wished the government and people of Nigeria, happy independence
celebrations.

Compassion in Action is What Is Needed Now writes Kenneth Copeland in FAITH TO FAITH

Compassion in Action
But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
– Matthew 9:36
Compassion. That’s the one thing people need more than anything else in this world. They need someone to reach out to them with the compassion of God.
Compassion is a deep yearning that responds to the needs of people. It’s much deeper than sympathy. Sympathy can just sit around feeling sorry for people. Compassion has to do something for them.
Compassion is what motivates God, and Jesus’ life on earth was a picture of that compassion in action. His whole ministry was driven by it. It was compassion that caused Him to multiply the loaves and fishes, heal the sick, cast out demons and raise the dead. It was compassion that compelled Him to go to the Cross. And it’s that same compassion that He now longs to pour out through you.
That’s a staggering thought, isn’t it?
It’s staggering to realize that we believers are the only body Jesus has on this earth now. His healing must flow through our hands and our faith. His compassion must move us to provide for the hungry. It must compel us to cast out demons and set the captives free.
“But, Brother Copeland, I don’t have that kind of compassion!”
Yes, you do. If you have the Spirit of God dwelling inside you, you do—because He is that kind of love! You simply need to activate it.
How? Just like Jesus did when He walked the earth. Through prayer and fellowship with the Father. Look through the Gospels and notice how much time Jesus spent alone with the Father. That time activated the compassion of God within Him. It caused Him to feel what God feels about the suffering of mankind. It stirred Him so much that whenever He encountered a need, He met it by the power of God.
Follow His example. Spend time in fellowship with your Father. Meditate on His compassion until it rises up strong on the inside of you. Stir it up until the desire to see others set free becomes paramount in your thinking.
Jesus has sent you to reach out and touch a love-starved world with His compassion.
If you don’t do it, who will?

Ministerial List: Another Unfulfilled Promise By Buhari by Chukwuma

The Buhari government had two months to prepare for his govt before the inauguration on 29 May but the time was used for something else. By the time the government took off, blame game began with his predecessor in office, President Goodluck Jonathan at the receiving end. How could a clueless predeccesor be delaying the smooth take-off of the government of the most powerful man on the continent? But the reality is the party did not dream of winning the poll instead, they were warming up for a post election crises but God intervened. There was no need for the weapon of the mass destruction but the new government could not take off, despite. Not even the leadership of the National Assembly could be ressolved amicably hence why the Assets declarations made 10 years ago has become a tool to deal with an ambitious senate president. The election of Bukola Saraki remains a tug of war among the APC chieftains and when they promised us that the cabinet would be ready before September ends, not a few believed the joke but a moment ago, the Senate rose up from its sitting with Dino Melaye saying the ministerial list has not arrived from the Presidential Villa. Buhari has described politicians dreaming of making the list as noise makers and he promised to give us the first angelic cabinet that is free of corrupt people. This has already given him an alibi to justify his reasons for not include your name if it is not found there. Whatever you want to know about how this government would be run is disclosed abroad to foreign media. Who says we are not changing? CHANGE is here indeed.

APC greets Nigerians on 55th Independence Anniversary

APC greets Nigerians on 55th Independence Anniversary

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has felicitated with all Nigerians
on the occasion of the country's 55th independence anniversary, to be
observed on Thursday, Oct.1st.

In a statement issued in Lagos on Wednesday by its National Publicity
Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said the anniversary
provides an opportunity to remember all the nation's past heroes as
well as the sacrifices they made to keep the nation united and strong,
and to rededicate ourselves to the ideals for which they lived.

It said in order to ensure that the labour of those heroes past are
not in vain, it was necessary for all Nigerians, in line with the
wordings of the country's national anthem, to re-commit themselves to
serving their fatherland with love, strength and faith.

''We have no doubt that today's generation of Nigerians have also
made, and are indeed still making, great sacrifices for the peace,
unity and stability of Nigeria. We however appeal to all our
compatriots to continue to put the nation first, and to downplay
everything that divides us and embrace that which unites us,''  APC
said.

The party said since democracy is one of the most precious gifts of
the nation's post-independence era, it is imperative for all to
continue to embrace this known best form of government and never to do
anything that will undermine it.

''We wish all our compatriots a joyous and peaceful celebration,'' it said.

Dare to Decide by Kenneth Copeland in Faith to Faith

Dare to Decide
Be it according to thy word.
– Exodus 8:10
I used to worry about making decisions for God. I used to be afraid to step out on faith and declare I was going to do something new that He’d shown me to do. I’d think, What if I fail? I was so scared of failing, I’d muddle around in indecision for weeks. Then one day I found out it wasn’t my power that was going to carry it out anyway. But it took my decision to move God in on the scene. Once I decided what I was going to do, and committed myself totally to it, God backed me!
What I learned is a truth from the Word of God that, if you’ll pay attention to it, will revolutionize your life. It’s truth that carries an awesome responsibility with it, but it’s a fabulous thing to realize.
Here it is: The right, the privilege and the power to decide has been left by God in the hands of men.
You have the right, for example, to decide where you’re going to spend eternity. You have a right to make that decision, and God will back your decision.
God can do everything for you but decide. He’s provided the power. He’s provided His Name. He’s provided the blood of Jesus. He’s provided the kingdom of God. He’s even made us partakers of it (Colossians 1:12).
But He’s not going to stuff that inheritance down our throats. Somewhere down the line we each have to make the decision to receive it.
Now the beautiful part is this: When you make that decision, God will back you to the hilt with His power. Once you make a decision to be born again, there’s no devil in hell big enough to stop you. All you have to do is decide.
Decide now. Declare your decision. Let it be done unto you according to your words.
Is God leading you in some new direction? Is He leading you to step out in faith for healing or prosperity or to take a whole new step of ministry? Don’t let fear hold you back.
Kenneth Copeland

PDP Celebrates Nigeria’s Delisting From Polio Endemic Countries

PDP Celebrates Nigeria’s Delisting From Polio Endemic Countries
….Claims Credit For Feat

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) celebrates with Nigerians for the
delisting of the country as polio endemic by the World Health
Organization (WHO), following the fact that there has been no single
reported case of wild polio virus attack since July 2014.

The party said the feat did not come by chance, but through a concerted
fight against the virus by the former President Goodluck Jonathan
PDP-led administration, with the support of the Nigerian people and
non-governmental agencies.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, in a statement on
Tuesday said the party is happy to note that polio was eradicated in
Nigeria by its government as promised by former President Jonathan, who
had at the 2011 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in
Australia, pledged that his administration would end the polio challenge
in three years time, a target which was met in 2014, when the last case
was recorded.

The PDP recalled that its government in 2012 declared polio a national
health emergency resulting in the establishment of Presidential Task
Force on Polio Eradication (PTFoPE), which effectively coordinated
strategic efforts at all levels of health administration, at the
national, state and local government levels, through special Emergency
Operations Centres (EOCs) across the country.

The party also celebrated the commitment of health workers at all
levels, state governments, volunteers, community and faith based
organizations, the media and other critical stakeholders for their
efforts in tackling the health challenge.

In the same vein, it thanked various non-governmental bodies including,
the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, UNICEF, Rotary International, the
World Health Organization (WHO), among others for their support towards
the eradication of polio in Nigeria.

The party therefore urged the Federal Government and all relevant health
institutions in the country to ensure the effective utilization of
policies and programmes mechanisms already in existence to guarantee
that polio does not resurge in the country.

With so many scandals trailing Nigerian celebrities, it takes something truly shocking to happen for us to be caught off guard. I mean this year has seen everything from infidelity to assault and battery and, yes, even kidnapping!
So, join us as we relive these jaw-dropping moments with you!
Look below to see which stars came under fire and made headlines this year:

1. Between Emeka Ike And His Wife (Battery, Kidnapping and Domestic Violence)

emeka1
Emeka Ike’s wife shook the entire Nollywood industry back in July when she revealed her husband had been maltreating her and has on several occasions inflicted injuries on her.
She claimed Emeka Ike tortured her physically which affected her health immensely. According to her, she developed a lump on one part of her breast due to domestic violence.
And that’s not all, she accused him of ‘kidnapping’ their kids and denying her access to them and also feeding the media with lies. Their case is still in court.

2. Toke Makinwa And Maje Ayida’s Affair (Infidelity And Having A Baby Mama)

So, back in June this year, OAP, Toke Makinwa’s husband, Maje Ayida shocked us all when it was revealed he was expecting his first bundle of joy with his ex-girlfriend, Anita Solomon (how complicated can that be!).
The lady gave birth in July at a UK hospital and ever since the fitness trainer has been on a social media plea for his wife to forgive him.
Toke has since remained mute on the issue on ground. But that story almost broke the internet.

3. Between Ubi Franklin and Emma Nyra (Shades, Lies And Battery)

We’re sure everybody knows this story as it sure rocked our boats when it happened. So, MMMG boss, Ubi Franklin was embroiled in a bitter showdown with singer, Emma Nyra who accused him of sexual abuse and battery.
She claimed Ubi turned her into a punching bag and sexually abused her. Emma had so many issues with Ubi Franklin that she had to leave the record label.
However, in an interview, Ubi denied being in a relationship with Emma and claimed he never assaulted or touched her.
He is now engaged to actress, Lilian Esoro who reportedly dumped him during his saga with Emma.

4. Toyin Aimakhu And Adeniyi Johnson’s Many, Many Affairs

Toyin who got married to Adeniyi Johnson in 2013, has had her marriage dogged by separation rumours this year and new events early this year indicate that the actors have split up again.
Investigations revealed that the Yoruba actress who formerly described herself as Mrs. Aimakhu-Johnson on her Instagram page made some drastic changes on her social media page and removed her husband’s name from her page including his numerous pictures.
Apparently, Adeniyi was caught flirting with an employee of Toyin and we learnt he has been doing it for long.

mercy5
Popular filmaker in the Yoruba movie industry, Olaide Olabanji, has just branded Mercy Aigbe-Gentry as an ungrateful person, revealing that he gave her a first role and practically made her whom she is now.
He told Encomium in an interview that of all the top names in the movie industry today he helped in the past, only Lola Alao has appreciated him.
Hear him,
“I can only vouch for one person who is no other than Lola Alao. If I help you today, I am not expecting you to pay me back because I believe that I must contribute to someone’s life.
One thing I appreciate about her is that she doesn’t forget the fact that I made her; she always gives me the credit even when she receive awards. She buys things for me anytime she travels out of the country.
Lola bought the shoe I wore on my wedding day in 2005 and this really makes me happy that she remembers her source,” Olabanji said in the interview.
Mercy on her side was working with a company on the Island and she was living in the same compound with my brother at Gbagada, Lagos and fortunately for her, I saw in the compound; this was on a Sunday.
She was coming from church and I walked up to her to know about her because her kids and my brother’s children always played together.
I asked her if she can act and she said yes, but said she works on the Island. Two weeks later, I invited her to my location at Lekki during the shooting of ‘Sebi Eyan Ni’ and that was all. It is just that we humans are different. God just used me for Mercy.”

YvonneF
Popular Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson is said to have gotten the biggest scare of her life when she was  physically assaulted by a crazy Nigerian male fan in Ghana over the weekend.
The fan who was identified as one Elvis Eze reportedly chased the actress to her car and shoved her aside roughly. Yvonne was one of the many guests invited to the birthday party of actress Ingrid Alabi in Accra but unfortunately for her she was at the receiving end of an assault.
Popular Ghananian blog, NewsOne reported that the enraged fan launched into a verbal attack on the terrified actress and it took the intervention of eyewitnesses to wrestle  the actress free from the grip of the infuriated man.
Yvonne Nelson reported the incident to the East Legon Police and a team enlisted the help of Ingrid Alabi to locate Elvis. But when they got to his house, Elvis was not available and has been on the run ever since.
