NBA Star, Lamar Odom Finally Wakes Up From Coma Posted: 16 Oct 2015 11:48 PM PDT After days of his life hanging in the balance in a coma resulting from a drug overdose, former NBA Man Of The Year, Lamar Odom has been reported to be out of coma and is now breathing on his own. He was said to have spoken to his estranged wife, Khloé Kardashian who has been at his bedside since he landed in the hospital. According to E! News, Odom opened his eyes on Friday, noticed Kardashian and said, “Hey, baby,” before giving her a thumbs up and heading back to sleep. A source told the media outfit that he is no longer using a breathing tube and is now breathing normally by himself. E! News confirmed from another source on Friday afternoon that Odom is speaking and functioning well. In addition to Khloé, 31, he is with his children and other family members, including cousins. Khloé, who arrived with mom/manaager, Kris Jenner and several of her sisters, had Odom’s father, two kids and their mother flown in to be by the NBA champion’s side. The basketball player was found unconscious at the brothel. At the hospital, the doctors had given thahe verdict that he had a 50/50 chance of survival.

He told Encomium magazine, “It was the best day of my life, now that I think back,” he said. “She made an impression the minute she came in, and if someone told me that was my wife, I would have said ‘oh you joking’. On whether she was tough at first when they first met Attoh answered saying: “Interesting enough, I think I gave her more hard time (laughs) but one way or the other, we both shared times when we felt the other wasn’t ready.”
