The Secret of Successful People That Make Them Unstoppable

To Become A Global Player, Embrace the Following:
1. Be prepared ahead of every challenge 2 Chronicles 27:6 says "So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God." "Never get ready; always live ready" says Smith Wigglesworth
2. Be Diligent- "Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men." Prov. 22:29. Paul Enenche says "You cannot do ordinary things and expect extraordinary results."
3. Be Responsible.
Isaiah 52:1-2 Awake, awake, Zion,
clothe yourself with strength!
Put on your garments of splendor,
Jerusalem, the holy city.
The uncircumcised and defiled
will not enter you again.
Shake off your dust;
rise up, sit enthroned, Jerusalem.
Free yourself from the chains on your neck,
Daughter Zion, now a captive.
Many unsuccessful people are like the paralytic man beside the Pool of Bethesda in John chapter 5 who was looking for whom to blame. Perhaps, the problem of Adam and Eve was their failure to be held responsible for their treasonable act. Adam blamed Eve whom in turn blame the serpent.
I agreed with David Abioye who says, "You are not a failure, until you have found who to blame for it." This tallied with the position of Mark Twain who says, "There a thousand excuses for every failure, but never a good reason."
4. Divine Guidance: “And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.” "Isaiah 48:27. If it is God who is leading you, you can never miss your blessings but many people are the one leading themselves. Even in famine, Isaac headed the divine directive and waited in a famine ridden land yet God made him prosperous "Gen.26.
5. Be the Best in whatever you do, whether you are being watched or not. God has no room for the mediocrity in His work. Every one He used in the Bible was the best. Think of the following: Esther, Joseph, Daniel, David, Paul et al. Those who enjoy eye service cannot go far in life.
6. Understand Your Mission and Time.
Moses understood his mission but was in a hurry to execute it and it backfired. He has to be in the Bible College for 40 years in the wilderness. We read about the children of Issachar "which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do..." 1Chro.12:32. Young ladies who missed their time married "whoever comes".
7. Develop Yourself
Many youths have wasted their divine opportunities because they could not develop themselves. Who thought David how to shoot with stones? David was "cunning in playing, and mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD is with him".(1 Sam.16:18-19,23). Do you notice what comes last? God is not interested in you until you bring forth what He has deposited in you! Joseph was gifted in dreams interpretation but he had to developed the gift and that took him to his place in destiny. Many youths are wasting their productive years in the labour market looking for jobs that are nowhere instead of thinking what they could do to earn a living.
8. Be focused
There are a lot of distractions around, those who want to get to their ordained places must refused to be distracted. Nehemiah was commissioned by God to rebuild the Wall of Jerusalem but some satanic agents manifested in the duo of Tobiah and Sanballat would not want him succeed but he refused to be distracted (Nehemiah 6:12)
9. Be Prayerful
Pray is the master key we all say but how many of us are prayerful? Many people have suspended their personal altar because they are in a hurry to go to work secured thru prayer. No wonder why a lot are being thrown out job because they meet God weekly. Martin Luther said to succeed in his assignment he must spend three hours in prayer daily. Go to prayer meeting, many would not go until their lives are on the line. Those who want to go beyond others should be more prayerful.
10. Go the Extra Mile
Jesus said, "And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain." Matthew 5:41. Joseph bowed down before him because he went extra mile ahead of them; Daniel and the three Hebrew boys went extra mile that helped them become captains in the land of captivity; All the 12 Apostles remained stagnant but the last to come, Paul became the first because he went the extra mile by taking the Gospel to the Gentiles.
In your office, go the extra mile. Never you be among the late comers and never you be in a hurry to close. I like saying Whenever you see someone in an office looking at the clock and eagerly waiting for the closing hour, you are before a junior officer and no responsible senior officer would be in a hurry to close without clearing his table.
There was a time in my life when someone who did not like seeing my face added my name among the staff to be sacked for non-performance, he went as far as gotten the approval of the Group Managing Director of the company but at the Board meeting where it would be zealed, the Chairman of the company overruled the conspirators. "If Bayo is not productive, something is wrong somewhere. I know why I asked him to join us after his sabbatical..." He picked his phone, called me and asked me why I was no longer productive and I told him about the conspiracy. That was the end of the conspiracy.
NOTE: The above is the excerpts of today's Sermon at the UNIVERSITY BAPTIST CHURCH, ABUJA, NIGERIA. If it blessed you let us know. You will get there in Jesus name. We are the heads and not the tails, we are above and not beneath and that shall be our portion. Bishop David Oyedepo said he was preaching one day where he said "The Bible says we shall be the head and not the tail" and a lady asked him,"If we all become the heads, who would now be the tail?" and his response is "whoever refuses to be among the head will end up being the tail." Meet you at the top in Jesus name.
