Man City’s Manuel Pellegrini on Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho: “I differ from Mou on all fronts”

Man City’s Manuel Pellegrini on Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho: “I differ from Mou on all fronts”

FBL-ENG-PR-MAN CITY-CHELSEA Getty Images Manuel Pellegrini is back home in Chile for the Copa America, and is being accused of taking a shot at Premier League nemesis Jose Mourinho in an interview.
The 61-year-old Manchester City boss prefers the quiet approach to winning, he says, and doesn’t prefer the way his Chelsea counterpart trumpets his accomplishments.

Speaking with Chilean newspaper El Mercurio, Pellegrini did give himself credit for changing the way they use wingers in La Liga, dating back to his time with Villarreal. But that’s different than accepting plaudits for winning individual matches, we guess.
From 101greatgoals.com:
Pellegrini had a pop at Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, indicating that the Special One is a showoff who steals the limelight. Pellegrini said:
“When he wins, Mourinho wants to take credit for everything. I don’t do that. When I won the Premier League, I didn’t say a word.
“I don’t have any problem with him, he’s not my enemy and there isn’t any conflict with him but I differ from Mou on all fronts. I have no interest in analysing him as a person.”
It’s pretty cheeky. “I like the guy, don’t get me wrong, but also please don’t think I’m like him in any single way. Cause I don’t like him.”
Man City hosts Chelsea in Week Two of the Premier League season, set for 10 a.m. ET on Aug. 15.
