Jegede, who led hundreds of his supporters to the commission’s headquarters in the state, said the postponement is in line with the electoral laws, which stipulate that all eligible candidate’s name must be published 30 days to the election.
The party candidate, who visited the INEC office on his final return to the state after reclaiming his mandate at the appeal court however advised his supporters to intensify their campaigns to ensure his emergence in the poll.
“There is need to collate the list of my agents, train them and submit their names for proper training and sending their names to INEC for proper recognition.
“Also, the voters registers has not be officially release to the authentic chairman and even if it has been released, do we have time to study it and make appropriate observations.
“What we have come to ask is for INEC to show some discretion in respect of fixing the date for election”.
