…Invites Dakuku To A Facility Tour of Governor Wike’s
Projects
The Rivers State
Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on well meaning
Nigerians especially the good people of the State to disregard the lies
propagated by the defeated candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in
the 2015 Governorship Election, Mr. Dakuku Adol Peterside, against the person
of the Chairman of the PDP in the State, Bro. Felix Obuah.
PDP in a statement
signed by the Chairman’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Jerry Needam,
said the party was shocked when Dakuku appeared on a radio programme in Port
Harcourt on Saturday and alleged that Bro. Obuah attempted to inject his cousin
with a lethal poison.
Recalling the
issues that led to the very unfortunate vituperations by Dakuku, the Party
wondered why the NIMASA boss would want to cover up his cousin, one Atonyesia
Peterside who was not only caught printing fake INEC result sheets, but openly
confessed that he printed the fake materials on the instruction of Mr. Emmanuel
Chinda, a chieftain of the APC and former Commissioner under Rotimi Amaechi.
Noting that the
allegation is spurious, absolutely false and misleading, the PDP described
Dakuku’s conduct as a clear case of post election psychological trauma, having
lost the 2015 Governorship Election to Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
The PDP regretted
that for a man who once nursed the ambition of governing a state, it clearly
showed that Dakuku Peterside and some of his APC cohorts are instigating crisis
and insecurity in Rivers State.
“Like the biblical
story of the childless woman who wanted the child divided just to have it
destroyed, Dakuku Peterside in this instance clearly wants Rivers State
destroyed just because he lost his selfish ambition to become Governor” the PDP
stated.
In view of the
foregoing, the PDP also challenged Dakuku Peterside to undertake a facility
tour of the State to keep him abreast with the projects executed by Governor
Wike, which according to the PDP, the Rotimi Amaechi-led APC government which
he served as Commissioner of Works, could not execute.
The PDP further
described Dakuku Peterside as a serial liar whose mission is nothing but the
destruction of Rivers State.
The PDP further
described the mindless and unsubstantiated allegation made by Mr. Dakuku
Peterside against Governor Wike and the Rivers State PDP Chairman, Bro. Felix
Obuah as provocative disreputable.
The party went on,
“Dakuku Peterside, as DG of NIMASA struggled all through the duration of the
radio programme to tell Nigerians one thing he has achieved in the Agency, to no
avail”.
“May we urge Mr.
Dakuku Peterside to take his defeat during last year’s Governorship Election
and subsequent defeat at the Supreme Court in good faith and stop crying over
spilt milk”, PDP admonishes.
