8 Killed, 27 Injured As Explosions Rocks Gombi, Adamawa

Two suicide bombers on Friday afternoon blew up themselves at the grain section of the international market in Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa State, killing eight persons and injuring twenty-eight others.
The Northeast Information Officer of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Abdulkadir Ibrahim, had earlier said that eight persons died while twenty-seven others sustained varying degrees of injuries.
The attack is suspected to have been masterminded by Boko Haram insurgents as the market, which attracts people from Cameroon and other neighbouring countries, is in a local government that shares boundary with the dreaded Sambisa forest.
