Jegede, in a post shared on social media today, July 20, 2016 opined
that marriage is not a do or die affair.
She wrote,
“Marriage is not by force, I repeat…marriage is not by force.
If
you cannot see yourself submitting totally to your husband, please let
him just find the woman that would, no need to marry. I don’t think it’s
mandatory… Peace is good for everyone..
You can submit to yourself and marry yourself. But if you choose to marry then respect him completely and submit totally.
If you don’t want to
marry that’s very very okay and if you cannot love the woman totally,
Nwanne I repeat… Marriage is not by force…

Popular Ghanaian comedian Derrick Kobina Bonney, recently
began to generate quite a lot of attention due to his radical views on
men cheating which he shared while on Ghanaian radio station, Joy FM’s
lifestyle and entertainment programme Rhythm A to Z over the weekend.
Speaking on why most relationships don’t last and why men commit adultery against their wives, the star said, “[Men
can cheat] because we bought the wedding ring and we organised the
wedding and you bear our surname. We own you. Actually the word bride
means a cook. We own them. The man doesn’t bear the woman’s surname. We
own the children, that’s why they bear our surname.”
He added, “When you find the man cheating, you leave him to God because that was what our mother and grandmothers did.”Social media has since been agog with all sorts of comments bashing the comedian.  Yoruba movie actress, Lola Alao, has reportedly converted to Islam. She was said to have left her Christian roots and changed her name Rhodiat. An Islamic scholar named Yusuf Adepoju broke the news on Facebook with a message congratulating the film star.  Lola Alao, a major player in the Yoruba movie industry has had her fair share of controversies in recent years. Her lifestyle, leaving her first husband and marrying a second one in 2013, among others have placed her under public scrutiny.
