Mike Ezuronye, Chris Attoh & Kgopedi Lilokoe Named As 2016 AMAA Hosts Posted: 06 Jun 2016 07:00 AM PDT Actors who have made a name for themselves in Nollywood, Mike Ezuruonye and Chris Attoh will be hosting the 2016 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) alongside South African, Kgopedi Lilokoe. The announcement was made yesterday. The awards night is slated to hold in Port Harcourt after nine consecutive editions in Bayelsa State, one in Abuja, Lagos, and South Africa respectively. Iretiola Doyle, Omoni Oboli, Dakore Akande and Nse Ikpe-Etim are jointly nominated for the Best Female Lead Act alongside Zina Ojei, Adesua Etomi and Fulu Mogoveni. Rising Singer, Small Doctor Beaten By Young Men In Agege Posted: 06 Jun 2016 02:30 AM PDT Rising musician, Small Doctor was recently assaulted in the Agege area of Lagos State by a group of young men. Small Doctor was in Agege stadium to perform at an event organized by Winners Goldenbet when he was beaten by a group of people claiming to be his fans. Winners Goldenbet had put together a novelty match which had in attendance, certain foreign and local Super Eagles players including the likes of Ogenyi Onazi, Gbolahan Salami, Dele Alamkpasu and more. Small Doctor was ambushed on his way to his car by men who were lying in wait for him. They prevented him from gaining access to his car and even his private aides and security personnel could not stop the rampaging fans. The cause of their grievance was revealed to be due to the fact that they had insisted on Small Doctor settling them with some amount of money but the musician refused to part with any money. It later led into an altercation and Small Doctor was given a severe beating. He was also stripped of his jewellery while the security agents around him stood helpless. Even after the beating, the artiste still had to part with some cash before he was released. Regina wrote: It’s been 13yrs+ since I was left to cater for them all alone, it’s been 13yrs since death gave me a ‘title’ I never bargained for, 13yrs since I lost a friend, a brother, a companion, a husband and the father of my kids. 13yrs of struggling to find my place in a world that is full of obstacles and hardship……,  I could go on and on about how life have dealt with me, but after reflecting on the journey so far, I just want to thank God for the gift of life and for my kids. yes! He has faced multiple scandals, church suspension and vicious rumour mongering. Sammie whose marriage will be six years come July 1, in an exclusive interview said:“I am not bothered. Why should I be bothered? Am I God? Anything that has to do with life is not in my control. God is the person with the final say when it comes to childbirth. It is going to happen, because delay is not denial. However, it is not affecting the happiness in my home. I am not waiting for my wife to give me a child to bring extra happiness. It has not even formed a discussion in our home. God is the owner of babies; he is the one that gives. ‘‘I am happily married. I am happy I did not get married before I married my wife. I married my best friend. She is a good woman, she is a supporter. She loves Sammie Okposo and not the superstar. We were friends for three and half years before we got married.’’ “I thank God because he did not give me some things when I wanted them. In the meantime, I am grooving, rocking and graciously enjoying my wife because there is no distraction and responsibility of raising a child yet. When God feels we have enjoyed ourselves enough, he will give us double for our trouble. The way we are now, if I’m  on tour in America and I miss her, she could join me if she’s free but when babies are involved, you can’t just leave home like that.” The gospel singer who had a well-documented alliance with Kate Henshaw in the past and has a reputation for women, said all his attention is now on Jesus and his wife.  “It is a time to focus, I looked at myself in the mirror and spoke to myself. As far as Sammie Okposo is concerned, no more side chick for me. It is not even a topic of discussion,” he said.
