GANDUJE ASSURES INDUSTRIALISTS OF SUPPORT, INSPECTS ROAD PROJECTS




Kano state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Gandaje has said that his administration would continue to provide enabling environment for Lee Group of Companies to continue expanding its businesses, in view of its contribution to the economy of the state and the country at large.
 
The governor stated this during an inspection visit to the company at Jogana, Gezawa local government area on Monday, said the government is happy that it is creating several jobs as well as producing quality products for local and national markets. 

Dr. Ganduje noted with happiness, the company’s plan to expand its operations, saying the move would not only create more jobs but also improve the revenue base of the government. 

The governor expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation the company is giving to the government, assuring that the administration in the state would look into some of their problems with a view of solving them.
 
Earlier, Chairman of the company, Mr. Lee said they are ready to continue concentrating their businesses in the state, hoping that together with the government, they can make the state a truly commercial hub in the country. 

Meanwhile, Governor Ganduje has inspected three ongoing road projects in Kano Municipality. They are Farm Centre, Kundila and CBN quarters roads, being undertaken at the combined cost of about N1 billion. 

The governor said that the projects are part of a grand design to ease transportation problems in Kano city, adding that when completed inhabitants of the immediate benefiting communities would have reason to be happier. 

He described the roads as short cuts especially that of CBN quarters which starts from Maiduguri road by Sabo Bakin Zuwo to Unguwa Uku and terminates adjacent Federal Government College, along Zaria road.
 
In his remarks, the state Commissioner of Works, Haruna Shehu Lambu explained that daulization of CBN road was awarded at the cost of over N700 million while the remaining two roads were awarded at the cost of over N100 million each.
