Police Arrests Boko Haram Kingpin

ARREST OF A NOTORIOUS WANTED BOKO HARAM

On the 12/4/2017 at about 1700hrs, following intelligence report and painstaking suveil;lance, detectives attached to the Command arrested one Muhammad Adamu Nafiu male, aged 25yrs of Balanga in Gombe State at Tama village in Toro LGA of Bauchi State.


Suspect is a notorious member of Boko Haram who relocated to Tama village in order to evade arrest after they were dislodged by troops at Sambisa Firest.

Preliminary investigation also revealed that suspect was among those declared by the Nigerian Army on Serial Number 176 on its wanted list.


Meanwhile, he has voluntarily confessed to have killed over 150 people in Baga LGA of Borno State. Case under investigation after which suspect would be handed over to the appropriate authority for discreet investigation please.


ARREST OF SUSPECTED NOTORIOUS SARA-SUKA FOR CAUSING GREVIOUS HURT: On the 14/4/ 2017 at about 18:00hrs, the Command in collaboration with Military arrested one Osama Abubakar male, aged 20yrs of Malam Goje Street of Bauchi.


Suspect use a sharp knife and and cult off the left hand of one Abdul-aziz Mohd male, aged 23yrs of Gombe Road Bauchi who is also alleged to be a Sara-Suka member.

Exhibits recovered include Two Sharp knives used in perpetrating the act.


Preliminary investigation revealed that suspect is a notorious Sara-Suka thug who was convicted for similar offence in 2016.


Suspect voluntarily confessed and is assisting the police with useful information that will assist in apprehending his accomplices.


The command also arrested one Suleiman Umar male, aged 19yrs, suspect used sharp knive and inflicted deep cut on the right hand of one Salisu Harisu Hussaini male, aged 25yrs of Gwabba ward in Bauchi.


Exhibit recovered include one Blood stained knive in his possession. Suspect was charged to for prosecution


ARREST OF SUSPECTED CULT MEMBERS AND RECOVERY OF OFFENSIVE WEAPON:  On the 9/4/2017 at about 2300hrs, police detectives attached to Yelwa Division arrested the following syndicate:-

Ibrahim Ahmed male, aged 18yrs of Birshi Village Yelwa

Usman Yunusa male, aged 15yrs of the same address

Emmanuel Ayuba male, aged 22yrs of Yelwa Tsakani

Exhibits recovered include;

One Sharp Knife and


One White Regalia with inscription Young Money suspected to be used by cultist.


Case under investigation

So far the command has arrested over 200 suspected thugs recovered offensive weapons and charged them to Court for prosecutions.
