“Beyonce’s Father Is A Disciplinarian But He Is Not Mean” – Seyi Shay Posted: 20 Jan 2017 07:20 AM PST Nigerian singer and songwriter, Seyi Shay recently described Matthew Knowles, the father of American superstar, Beyonce, as a disciplinarian and a good teacher. Knowles managed the R&B singer when she was the lead singer of ‘Above’, a United Kingdom-based girl group. The group which consisted of five girls was formed from a reality show called ‘From Above. On a recent interview with BRT TV, Deborah Oluwaseyi Joshua said Knowles was tough on the girls, in a bid to build them into stars. Her words; ‘ “It was a competition to see who had the strength to stay in the group for a long time and because they were trying to teach us ethics, and character building, there was a lot of conflict.  “Beyonce’s dad is a disciplinarian… very much so but he’s not a mean guy. The MTN ambassador in a recent interview with Punch.ng stated that his biggest triumph in the past year was his ability to overcome temptation from some of his numerous female admirers. He said: “If you are a celebrity, women will always come to you. Most of the time, their intention is to seduce you. Well, in 2016, some of them tried to seduce me and to make me do certain things that I had sworn never to do when I got married. But, I thank God that I was able to resist them. It was not by my power; God gave me the grace to resist them,”  He almost swore that he had never had an extra-marital affair since he got married. “Why should I? My wife is young and very pretty. Besides, it is not in my character to be chasing women around,” he said.
