educational activist, television producer, writer, and public speaker
who gained public recognition in Nigeria as a model an an actress. Her
daughter, Teesa Williams, is following in her mum’s footsteps in
becoming a beauty queen.
The 15-year old model represented Staten Island in the 2017 Miss New
York Teen beauty pageant competition and her proud mum shared some

 Raised in Lagos from Boki LGA in Cross river, breezy,tall, dark and handsome, Mr Tourism Nigeria 2016, Abua Daniel popularly known as Izzydaniel talks about his life after the big win in a telephone interview with Stargist.com. Read below: -What was growing up like and what schools did you attend? Growing up wasn’t really fun because I had a really strict dad. I attended Lucianna Primary School, Isashi Lagos and Command Secondary School, Lagos. I studied Computer Science in University Of Calabar. -What were you doing before the pageant? I was a software developer.  -What inspired you to contest for Mr Tourism Nigeria 2016? I am naturally a reserved person and I opted to do something different. I just wanted to prove that I can do and be whatever I wanted. No barriers. -Has your daily routine changed since you won the pageant and what’s it like? Yes..with the interviews, loads of appointments and several photo-shoots. Typically, I wake up pretty early, pray, exercise and then i do other stuff I have scheduled. -How has fame changed you as a person? Life has become more tasking. It has changed my approach to people. There are a lot of rules to follow. Basically, I have to live by certain guidelines.  – Do you have any on-going projects as Mr.Tourism Nigeria 2016? Yes, I do. I have a pet project – project IDP [Internally Displaced Persons]. It kicks off by next month. Trying to see ways I could help them with something more sustainable than just food items and the like. Secondly, I would be heading to Ife soon to meet with the Ooni Of Ife as regards his plans to make Ife a tourist’s destination in the near future. -Who are your role models in the entertainment industry? Uti Nwachukwu, Tuface Idibia and Seyi Shay. I have a crush on her [Laughs] -How do you deal with your budding female fans? I don’t say yes or no. I try my best to make everyone feel important. Your fans can either make you or break you. I try to be cool. That’s all. -Are you in a relationship? No. I just need to be focused right now but if I find love along the way – fine. -Have you had any embarrassing moment as Mr Tourism Nigeria? A lot. After the win, I went to see my folks in my family home. I had people clamoring around me. Some even asked for money at the spot. -What are your hobbies? I love music immensely.I love to sing. I play drums and guitar…and, oh! my guitar goes everywhere with me. It is one of my favourite possessions. -You mentioned earlier that you were a software developer, if asked to choose between your previous career path and the entertainment industry, which will it be? I’d continue with entertainment. -What’s your dream holiday destination? I love Obudu cattle ranch not jus because I am a Crossriverian [chuckles]. I would love to spend quality time at the ranch. Then there is, Dubai, Paris and Moscow.  -Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Being at the peak of my game- my own boss and also giving young people opportunities, just the same way I was given.
