Ministers accused of corruption by judges must resign, face prosecution – Afenifere

afenifere
Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere has called on the Federal Government to prevail on Ministers allegedly involved in corrupt practices to step down to allow for investigation.
This is coming at a time when two judges involved in the ongoing corrupt investigation by security agencies, Justice Okoro Inyang  Ngwuta,  alleged that Amaechi spoke to them on different occasions, to influence judgments of two different elections.

Afenifere’s call was contained in a communique’ issued at the end of its monthly meeting in Akure, the Ondo State capital and was read by the Publicity Secretary of the organization, Mr. Yinka Odumakin .
According to the group, “For the ministers who have been mentioned for attempting to pervert the course of justice , we are asking that such ministers should step aside immediately as ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“After that, they should go through due process of the law to either ascertain their innocence or not, they should be punished according to the laws of the land . So we cannot be saying only judges that have been accused should be investigated. Ministers too, who have been accused should step aside and face prosecution.
