God does not keep record of your shortcomings!

Many have problems with the message of the Gospel. 2 Cor 5:19 says God does not keep record of our shortcomings but we do. If we are talking of keeping the Law, no human being will be saved. As regard sin, in the real sense of it, it is the work of flesh being manifested and once this happens, you confess it and moves on. God is Love and Love does not keep record of wrong done.
If we are to face the wrath of God for our sins then Jesus died on the cross in vain. You don't pay for one good twice. There is no one under the Heaven that is immune from sin but the hope is Jesus has paid for it in FULL. We are not saying we should go on sinning but our focus is more on what Christ did on the Cross at Calvary.
In the Old Testament, people kept the Law to escape the wrath of God but in the New Testament, we keep away from sin because of the Love God has shown by letting Jesus died on the Cross. God is more interested in our deliverance than our destruction. When Jacob was running away from home after defrauded his father and brother, Esau, he slept and God appeared to him but why their dialogue lasted, God did not ask him why he did what he did. This was a mirror of what Jesus would later bring. Let us tell the world the gains of the price Jesus paid at Calvary instead of what Satan did in the Eden.
If you are sin conscious, we might become hypocritical in our ways of doing things. We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Not because of what we did or did not, but because of what Jesus did on our behalf on the Cross.
