Grace Amah Stargist
Nollywood actress, Grace Amah, has shown support for her friend and colleague, Ibinabo Fiberesima, with this emotional piece as she goes through her ordeal of being sentenced to 5 years in jail.
Here’s what she wrote alongside this picture of hers she shared on her Instagram page below:
IB
”To my revered Very Senior Colleague and Mentor Ibinabo Fiberesima

Life is a journey. It comes with the good, the ugly and the bad. It comes with joy and sorrow. It brings moment of comfort and moment of discomfort. The news of the conviction of one of the Nigerian best in the entertainment industry and best President ever recorded in the leadership of the Nigerian Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), has come with mixed feelings. At a glance, it has come to show that in normal society, the law is no respecter of persons. At a second look, it shows the cross that a public figure has to carry as a good example to the society. The former beauty Queen in Nigeria and one of the most celebrated Actor would not have wished to cause human death. But as it were, the accident that happened 10 years ago, which took the life of the deceased was never premeditated. It was unfortunate it happened. May the soul of the deceased continue to rest in the Lord. Today, our darling of the Nollywood is convicted of manslaughter and to serve a 5 year jail term. It is a lesson in many ways. She offered herself for judgment and opted not to leave the country to find safety in another country which some other people would have easily done.
I join millions of fans, colleagues and friends of my Colleague, Mentor and friend to share my sympathy for what happened and to urge her continue to believe in her God and be assured of God’s protection. Let her see this moment as part of her debt to humanity, justice and service. God will surely see her true. May God give us the grace to learn the lessons of today for a better tomorrow. I stand with you in this ordeal sweet mama as i call u, heart of Gold@ibinabofiberesima. I love and wish you well. #PRAY4IB

Omotola J Ekeinde 3
Award winning Nollywood actress and mother of 4, Omotola J Ekeinde, who recently won the award for the ‘Entertainment Personality of the year’ at the recently held City People Social media awards, has shared her take on social media especially pertaining to her colleagues and her four children.
In a recent chat with City People, Omotola revealed:
When asked about aspects of social media she does not like:
”Yes, I don’t promote negativity. To what end? That is not what I promote. That is not what I am about. That is why I don’t join other people to attack my colleagues. If I see that you attack a colleague of mine, I silently block you.
You don’t even have to attack me, because I don’t even want such a person following me. Seriously I am like that. I haven’t said this before.
This is the first time I am saying it and I think it is important that I say it, I silently block people who attack my colleagues. I have blocked a lot of people. If you don’t attack Omotola but you attack a colleague of mine, I will block you, because I don’t think it is right. I can take criticisms. You can criticize people but don’t be demeaning, insultive, because you really cannot insult me if you see me one on one anyway. So, why do it on the internet. It is not fair.

So if you come on my instagram page and you say something I don’t like, if it is not demeaning, or out rightly insultive, I will ignore it. But if it is insulting, I will block you. It is as simple as that. And my kids are a no go area.
You cannot say anything stupid about my kids because I am a mother and my 1st job is to protect my kids. If you say anything nasty about my kids. You are blocked. Its just as simple as that. Don’t bring negativity around me”

Stella Damasus
Stella Damasus is speaking up for the equal rights of women.
While the Gender and Equal Opportunity Bill was developed to give legal protection to women from marginalization in Nigeria, the bill was rejected and did not pass second reading at the floor of the National Assembly yesterday .
The bill is broken into three parts, the first part of the bill contains ‘sections covering all forms of discrimination against women’ while the second part ‘Provides for the establishment of an Equal Opportunities Commission’ and the final section seeks to ‘ seeks to enforce the National Gender Policy.’
Expressing her disappointment, Stella Damasus has asked fellow women this important question; If we cannot go to every government representative to show them how unacceptable it is then why should we even talk about it?”
Read more below:
The Nigerian senate has rejected the GENDER AND EQUAL OPPORTUNITY BILL at second reading. This is totally unacceptable and if every African woman cannot rise up to fight for their rights and the rights of their daughters, then why should anyone listen or care? If we cannot scream for the world to know what they are doing to us then what’s the point? If we cannot go to every government representative to show them how unacceptable it is then why should we even talk about it? If every woman who is a mother, wife, sister, aunt or even neighbor to any senator, governor, minister etc cannot speak to them about this then let’s all go to bed. Enough is enough. I am tired of seeing the same people fight for the rights of women and children, risking their lives everyday while others act like they don’t care. They act like they don’t know what’s going on. They would rather post stupid pictures of their designer outfits and their shopping sprees. If we as women who are affected cannot put our differences aside and stand together to fight this, then what is the point? @sayno_unite @unicef @unwomen @unitednations @makerswomen @empoweringwomennow @giaorg @nomoreorg @girlrisingofficial @nonprofitorgs @savethechildren @sorayachemaly @unfoundation @ncadv @drjoeodumakin @mercyiaspire
