Mikel Obi Is The Newest Captain Of The Super Eagles Posted: 24 Mar 2016 07:00 AM PDT Chelsea footballer, Mikel Obi, has been named the new captain of the Super Eagles as the team prepares for the crucial 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualification doubleheader against Egypt. The announcement was made at the pre-match press briefing at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna, bringing an end to the seven-month captainship of Ahmed Musa. The clash with Egypt’s Pharaohs has been moved by one hour to 5:00 pm local time Friday.

The late musician, Nomoreloss released his hit song in 2003 titled Iyawo Asiko. This song was inspired by the late  legend Orlando Owoh. He was nominated in 5 categories in the( Award for Musical Excellence in Nigeria (AMEN). The categories includes : Best Male Vocalist, Song of the year, Best New Act and Best Solo Act. His album titled (INSPIRED) was voted as one of the best album released in 2003. Nomoreloss got married to Adeola Osinuga of Rhythm 93.7fm and they are blessed with a daughter.

Ibinabo Fiberesima Suffers Career Setback While In Prison Posted: 23 Mar 2016 11:30 AM PDT Nollywood actress/AGN President, Ibinabo Fiberesima, has suffered a career setback while currently serving a 5-year long jail sentence which was as a result of the accident she was involved in which got Dr Giwa Suraj in Lagos killed. The actress has been stripped of her position as AGN President by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos. This means, Emeka Ike, will now eventually be the AGN President, a position which he had been battling Ibinabo for. A press statement was released according to the AGN’s National Secretary, Femi Durojaiye below: “The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, this morning 23/3/2016 at the application and argument of Counsel to Actors Guild of Nigeria, Barr. Peter Andor Oboyi, struck out Ibinabo’s and BOT suit challenging the nullification of her election to the Presidency of AGN and also challenging the legitimacy of the Presidency of Emeka Ike and his Exco. The implication of this judgement is that Engr. Emeka Ike led Exco remain the only authentic and lawful leaders of Actors Guild of Nigeria.   The Honourable Court vehemently reiterated the position of the judicial authority that, Ibinabo, her purported exco members and the Board of Trustees vacate forthwith the office of AGN both at the National and State level and accordingly surrender all AGN assets at their unlawful possession to the incumbent Engr Emeka Ike’s Government.” Femi Durojaiye.
