BIOMETRICS DATA CAPTURING IN NSCDC A LAND MARK SUCCESS ..........SAYS GANA


The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu, says the Biometrics Data Capturing exercise embarked upon by his administration for all personnel of the Corps is a huge land mark success.
The CG made this revelation during an interview session in his office at the NSCDC National Headquarters, Abuja.  The Corps helmsman noted, that he has succeeded in sanitizing the Agency to have a concrete data base to know the number of personnel in the organization. He emphasized that the Biometrics done has succeeded in cleansing the system.
Gana praised the Almighty God for this feat, saying, ''I thank the LORD for helping me and giving me direction on how to pilot the affairs of the Corps, and I know He will always help me to be successful and to do well ''.
Abdullahi pointed out, that since his assumption of office he has maintained an open door policy and that he is a strong advocate of capacity building, maintaining that, his utmost desire is the welfare of the personnel to train every Civil Defender to enviable heights. 
Gana disclosed, that a memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed between the Corps and the Ministry of Solid Mineral, to this effect, 3,000 personnel have been slated to man the mining sites across the Federation.  Also, another MOU has been signed with the Federal Ministry of Transport for the Corps to protect the Railway facilities nationwide.
The Commandant General highlighted that 70% of oil installations across the federation are under the watch of the NSCDC personnel whom he described as Gallant. In a passionate plea to vandals, he called on those who are harming the nation's facilities to have a re-think on their nefarious acts, positing that, the Critical Infrastructure they are destroying here and there in the country is a direct harm on the economy which if not checked will affect even generations yet unborn. The CG again, highlighted that the Command and Control Centre owned by the Corps to monitor activities of vandals in the South South is the first of its kind in Nigeria. He asserted that in the South East 46 offenders have been convicted, while 16 illegal refineries have been destroyed.
The Private Guard Companies (PGC) as posited by the Leader of the Civil Defence have been laundered and sanitized, reiterating that he is working assiduously to reposition the PGC and professionalize the sector, where the personnel who work in the Private Guard Companies will be trained in stages till they become chartered. He disclosed that all personnel in the PGC will be captured Biometrically to further make the sector thick. He also noted, that a good number of Private Guard Companies which did not meet the standard required have all been shut down.
Gana thanked the Federal Government ably led by President  Muhammadu Buhari[GCFR], the Minister of Interior Gen. Dambazzau (rtd.) for looking into the plight of the NSCDC in the provision of working equipment for the personnel, eulogizing the President that almost all the budget of the Corps was approved.
On insinuation that the shoe he is now wearing is bigger than his feet, the gentleman CG noted, that he has put on the shoe and the shoe is very fitting, more so, he hit the ground and started running immediately, all glory be to the Almighty God.
The Chief Accounting Officer asserted, that before his exit as the Commandant General of the Corps, he will leave behind by God grace, an almost corrupt free NSCDC.
