 With our different classic genres and blend of music, it’s so sad to note that no Nigerian musician has ever brought home the Grammys even when we know some of these artistes are doing their best. So, we bring to you Nigerian musicians, in no particular order, that can bring that award home for us! 1. Lagbaja Lagbaja is a multi-award winning Nigerian Afrobeat musician, singer and song- writer. His music is usually a wake up call to the state of the nation. 2. AsaNigerian French singer and lyricist Bukola Elemide, who goes by the stage name Asa, evokes melancholy in her audiences thanks to her voice and her melodic grace. Her songs says a lot about our melancholy, our dreams, our thoughts and our reflections. It almost feels like they’ve have been part of our lives even before Asa wrote and sang them. 3. Femi Kuti Olufela Olufemi Anikulapo Kuti, popularly known as Femi Kuti, is a Nigerian musician and the eldest son of afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti. He has been nominated four times for the Grammy awards in the world music category in 2003,2010,2012 and 2013 but has never won it. Femi kuti’s voice was also featured in the video game ” Grand Theft Auto IV” 4. Timi Dakolo Timi Dakolo is one refined Nigerian musician. His songs alone could make you fall in love at first sight. And that voice! It grabs your attention immediately you hear it. Also known as Nigeria’s King of Soul, he is one maker of beautiful noise! 5. Banky W Banky W is another fantastic Nigerian R n B singer. The crooner has won lot of awards inluding” John Leonnon song writing award and Independent Music Awards,USA”. 6. Darey Art Alade Nigerian multi-platinum selling and award winning musician,singer-songwriter.Darey is another Grammy material hat with his powerful vocal power and sonorous voice. 7. Praiz Some have called him the John Legend of Nigeria. Praiz can be said to be another Grammy material. 8. Cobhams Azuquo Legendary music man, Cobhams Asuquo is a Nigerian musician, producer, and songwriter. Cobhams has broken records in the Nigerian music industry as a visually-impaired musician. The year is
drawing to an end and some Nigerian footballers have made a lot in their
various football clubs. With the like of Obafemi Martins, Victor Moses

The number one spot goes to Austin Jay Jay
Okocha who is one of the very best footballers to come out of Nigeria

Obafemi Martins Obafemi Martins is one of the highest paid player in United States Major League Soccer, with an annual salary of $2,400,000.00. The 28-year-old striker owns 2 mansions at VGC Lagos worth N500 million, a massive home in Como, Italy valued at N800 Million, and top hotels in Italy. He splashed N400million on his charity foundation not too long ago. He drives a Lamboghini worth N50m,Porsche Gemballa worth N20m, Bmw X6worth N 18M,and a Ferrarri sport car.
