Nollywood actress, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, in an interview with Entertainer, discloses that love is a vital part of her life, stressing that her success story in acting is not due to any magic wand but the grace of God. Excerpts below: Have you ever thought of quitting the industry because of marriage? No, I never thought I would quit the industry because of marriage; I thought I would quit the industry if the mediocrity continues. What does being a mum mean to you? Being a mum is my biggest role in life. It is what gives me the most joy at this time. To be a good role model to them, and it is dear to my heart to leave the world a better place for them. What is your view about the issue of official restriction on the number of children per couple? My take is that people should be realistic about their expectations and be smart about their choices. People should not wait for the government or any organisation to enforce or press that on them. Overall, just be able to cater sufficiently for your family. |

Ex-singer turned critic Etcetera seems to have bitten more than he can chew after focusing his recent article on Nigeria’s international offering, Asa. Titled ‘Asa, your collabos are getting dumber by the day. The self proclaimed critic was attacked over his description of Asa’s collaborations as dumb. In the piece, he tore Asa into shreds for her features on Naeto C’s ‘Share my blessing’ and more recently Korede Bello’s ‘Somebody Great’. The writer revealed Asa is gradually killing her career by featuring in ‘wack’ songs which might be damaging to her career. However, some celebrities were not happy with the way Etcetera slammed Asa, and one celebrity in particular, Beverly Osu led the onslaught against Etcetera. The former BBA housemate, wrote, ‘I really don’t agree …wat is he saying. ..he just want to talk’. While others were also of the opinion that the former singer is not in the right position to condemn Asa. |
