Rivers People Hold Peace Procession Friday, Dec. 4, 2015

…Say There Is No Alternative To Peace

All is now set for the grand peace procession in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital scheduled for Friday, December 4, 2015.
Being put together by peace Ambassadors, justices of peace in the State, civil society groups, Non-governmental Organizations, Association of Political Parties and other concerned Rivers people, the peace rally is to intensify and celebrate the prevailing peaceful atmosphere in the State and the climate of freedom under the Gov Nyesom Wike administration.
Kicking off at 7am from Aba Road State Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the procession will crisscross the major Streets of Port Harcourt with all participants dressed in white attire and terminate at the College of Arts of Science, Port Harcourt for goodwill messages and speeches.
Rivers people are pleased and wish to use the Peace procession powered by Rivers people in conjunction with the Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democration Party, PDP to show appreciation and demonstrate to the world their joy and belief that there is no alternative to peace, while insisting that if ‘we are to live together in peace, there is need to come together and know each other better’.
All Rivers people are hereby enjoined to come out enmass to consolidate the peaceful environment enunciated by His Excellency, Gov Nyesom Wike for a more progressive Rivers State which has evidently transformed the streets of Port Harcourt as well as other areas of the State economy.
They are also urged to conduct themselves in an orderly manner throughout the period of the procession.
