IMBIBE THE EXEMPLARY LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST,
ORDERS DEPLOYMENT OF 30,000 PERSONNEL NATIONWIDE.

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), A        bdullahi Gana Muhammadu, has enjoined Christians and other Nigerians to imbibe the exemplary life of our Lord and Saviour  Jesus Christ who came into the world for the good of all mankind and lived a life worthy of emulation by all people living on earth.

The CG made this worthy call to all People from all walks of life, in his office, at the National Headquarters, Abuja.

Gana posited that Jesus Christ is our great role model and the epitome of peace and love.  His sacrifice for mankind cannot be equaled, in the same vein, all Christians, Muslims and peoples of other faiths should emulate his simple way of life as He embraced everyone irrespective of race. ''Therefore, I am using this medium to encourage all Christians to use the birth of Jesus Christ to preach peace and embrace everyone irrespective of religious affiliation and to pray for the peace of Nigeria. ''

The Leader of the Civil Defence said, '' Christmas is a season of joy, peace and love when people should not only eat, drink and merry for the good works of our Lord Jesus Christ, but should also be a moment for sober reflection.  Upgrade where necessary and adjust where also necessary. ''

The Corps helmsman has also directed the immediate deployment of 30,000 Personnel to man strategic locations nationwide.  He also directed that all Commands should ensure adequate deployment to black spots such as Churches, shopping centres, recreation centres markets etc. in their respective states, ensure safety of persons and protection of Critical Infrastructure and National Assets in their respective states during this yuletide season and into the new year 2017, bearing in mind that criminal minded persons always take advantage of festive period to perpetrate nefarious acts.

Meanwhile, the NSCDC yesterday held the Christmas Carol and Nine lessons at the NSCDC Miracle Chapel. In attendance where Management Staff, Officers and Men of the Corps, with other Officers and Men of the other Agencies, invited men of God and the public.

The Commandant General on behalf of the Management Staff, Officers and Men of the NSCDC wishes all Nigerians and all mankind, Merry Christmas and a blessed prosperous New Year 2017.
