In a touching message posted on Instagram, Branch referred to fellow Yoruba movie star, Fathia Balogun as one of his favourite screen wives. According to him, Faithia is one actress he’s always looking forward to working with all the time. Read his message: “LET ME TALK ABOUT” – (FAITHIA BALOGUN) – Faithia or ‘Igwa’ as she is also called was the first actress to play my wife in a Yoruba movie, that was in the movie ELEBUTE by Oga Bello. We connected instantly on the Ikorodu set and I believe I got her into trouble with her former husband Saidi then when I said I wanted to try the famous Ikorodu barbecued fish and she, Funso Adeolu and the late Diallogue Director, Alhaji Lateef I think, offered to take me to one of the popular fish spots in town. I think Saidi somehow found out she had left set with some men and came after her. It was not funny I swear but we became friends since then. Despite the obvious distraction from her domestic life then, she displayed such professionalism that I found myself wondering how she pulled dat off (she had enough practice I guess) We have done countless jobs since then and bn married on more occasions that I can recall. I dare say@faithiawilliamsbalogun is one of my favorite screen wives and no doubt someone I look forward to working with all the time. All hail Igwaa!!! #FemiBranch25YearsActing |

Keshinro Ololade better known as Lil Kesh is a chart-topping Nigerian singer, rapper and songwriter.
Early Life
Lil Kesh, born March 14, 1995 grew up in
the suburban Bariga area of Lagos State. After completing his primary
school education, he proceeded to Stockbridge College, Bariga where he
underwent his secondary education. Before his foray into music, Lil Kesh
always had a love for dancing and he decided to start rapping after
watching some of his peers do it.
Shooting into stardom
Kesh became a household name after the
release of his hit single, “Shoki”. His music career actually made a
slow start in 2012 when he was still rapping among his peers in Bariga
until he released “Lyrically”, a single that quickly became a hit in any
Nigerian universities in Nigeria including UNILAG and YABATECH.
Keshinro joined YBNL through the help of
his friend, Viktoh, who also signed a deal with the label. The Edo state
born singer and dancer shared Kesh’s ‘Lyrically’ track with ace rapper
Olamide who sought to sign the artiste after listening to the song. In
April 2014, Kesh signed a two-year recording contract with YBNL.
His album, YAGI, was released March 17th,
2016 and it received rave reviews. The album features guest appearances
from notable music acts including Olamide, Phyno, Davido, Adekunle
Gold, YCEE, Nigerian-American rap superstar, Wale, Viktoh and
Patoranking.
In April 2016, Lil Kesh’s contract
expired and the established artiste floated his own imprint. He is now
currently signed under his record label YAGI Records, an acronym for
“Young And Getting It”. However, his management is still handled by
YBNL.
Awards and RecognitionHe was nominated in the Best Street-Hop Artiste category at The Headies 2014. In 2015, he was nominated in the Best New Act to Watch and the Hottest Single of the Year categories at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards for “Shoki Remix”.He was also nominated in the highly controversial ‘Next Rated’ category of the 2015 Headies awards alongside heavyweights like Mavin crew’s Reekado Banks & Korede Bello and G Worldwide’s Kiss Daniel. His loss at the awards spurred a major backlash on social media in January 2016 after his label boss, Olamide fired shots at the Mavins while expressing his displeasure with the outcome. Kesh also signed an endorsement deal worth 11 Million Naira with SureBet in 2015. |
