Police, EFCC Partner in Fight Against Corruption


 
The Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim K. Idris NPM, mni, while receiving the Ag. EFCC Chairman Ibrahim Magu, assured him that the Nigeria Police Force will continue to provide necessary support and cooperation to EFCC in tackling corruption and other areas of its operations. He commended the Ag chairman for his proven track records and significant achievements he has recorded so far after taking over the leadership of the commission.
 
The IGP encouraged the EFCC boss and wished him more successes in running the affairs of the Commission. He assured him of Police participation on the EFCC forth coming project tagged “Women against Corruption Project”. He thanked him for the visit.
 
In his remarks, the Ag. Chairman of EFCC Ibrahim Magu congratulated the IGP on his appointment and appreciated the warm reception accorded him and his team. He commended the IGP for the  good working relationship between EFCC and the Nigeria Police Force. He uses the opportunity to seek for more support and cooperation of the IGP on other activities of the commission.
 
The EFCC Ag. Chairman further stressed that he had observed keenly several achievements recorded by the Nigeria Police Force under the leadership of the IGP in the fight against crime and criminality across the country. He also informed the IGP that the EFCC will soon launch a programme by mobilizing women against corruption at the International conference centre Abuja and appealed to the Inspector general of police to deploy women Police participants at the event.
