My Position on Tithing - Letter to the Church

LETTER OF A SON TO HIS FATHER AND THOSE THAT ARE CALLED AND SANCTIFIED IN CHRIST JESUS .....

Odeyinu Temidayo Andrew , a son and a strong believer of the word of God through the will and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Unto the body of Christ which is at Nigeria and all that are in every place calling upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord .
Praise be unto you and peace from God our Father , and from the Lord Jesus Christ .
To the fathers of faith in Nigeria that are divided over the issue of TITHES , I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given to you by Jesus Christ . That in everything ye are enriched by the spirit of God in all utterance and in all knowledge .
To Daddy Freeze , the leader of the new ' protestant church ' the beloved of God , called to be saint , grace be unto you ...
Now I beseech you all , by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ , that there be no division among you .
I come to you not in excellency speech or pride of knowledge .
For it is written in Isaiah 29: 14 ' I will destroy the wisdom of the wise , and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent ' .
Why will the issue of Tithe become problem ?
Fathers of faith , why have we allow envying , strife , and divisions ? For while one saith Tithe us a must and the others says tithe is not compulsory ? While one says tithe is for levites and the other says otherwise ?
What is tithe according to the word of God ? .
The rules and word of God are codified ( Bible ) that should be a guide for us all and not what the leaders of the church says or the argument of the leader of the new ' protestant church ' ....
The Church needs to know that obedience without knowledge is slavery and as body of Christ if we are afraid to ask questions , we will continually be in state of ignorance , fear , and compliance ...
If we never ask questions , we will never learn . Let your mantra in the House of God when it comes to knowledge be ' WHY ' .....
WHAT IS TITHE ???
Numbers 18: 21
" As for the tribe of Levi , your relatives , I will compensate them for their service in Tabernacle . instated of an allotment for Land , I will give them the tithe from the entire land of Israel " .
Tithe stated with the Father of faith ABRAHAM in Genesis 14:18-20 where he paid the tithe after he won a war against those took his brother Lot captive .
Later in Genesis 28, the word tithe resurfaced in verse 20 where Jacob promised God his tithe.
We must understand in the aforementioned are tithe directly to a supreme being and others like that as examples given in the Bible .
The beginning of the most celebrated tithing came after the allotment of Land and possession to other tribes of Israel except Levites . God instructed the Israelites to give tenth of the produce of their farm as compensation to Levites ...Numbers 18:26 .
The church of God must know that , the Levites tithe is not the only type of tithes in the Bible , that will lead me into the types of tithes as instructed by God .

TYPES OF TITHES
1- THE LEVITES TITHE
2- THE LORD'S TITHE
3- THE SPECIAL TITHE

THE LEVITES TITHE ......
Numbers 18:21, 24 .....
These are tithes directly as compensation for the service of the Levites instead of an allotment of Land in Israel .
( this type of tithe is what some men of God are claiming today as if they are Levites without an allotment of land , whereas, most of them have estates and billions of naira to throw around ) ....

THE LORD'S TITHE ...
Numbers 18:26 ..
" Give this instructions to the Levites , when you received from the people of Israel the tithes I have assigned as your allotment , give a tenth of the tithes you received , A TITHE OF THE TITHES ------- to the Lord as a sacred offering " .
I refer to this tithe as TITHE OF TITHES so also check and read Numbers 18:32 ..... The bibles says , you will not be considered guilty for accepting the LORD'S TITHE . If you give the best portion to the priests . but be careful not to treat the Holy gift of Israel as though they were common . If you do , you will die .
The Lord's tithes brings me to the popular tithe verse in our churches Malachai 3:9-12 which church leaders are now using to emotionally blackmail the believers .
If you start reading book of Malachai from chapter 2 , you will understand that the curse was for the priest for not given the tithe of tithes to the Lord , and that is why the headings for the chapters in KJV titled " THE LORD CURSES THE PRIESTS " ...
The tithes of the people of God are now treat as common , the holy gift of the people are now used to built schools their children can't afford .

THE SPECIAL TITHE...
Deut. 26:12 ...
" Every third year , you must offer a special tithe of your crops . in this year of the special tithe , you must give your tithes to the Levites , Foreigners , orphans and widows , so that they will have enough to eat in your town " ....
Brethren , who are Levites ? Are they pastors or General overseers ? Are the Shepherds or Prophets ? Why did our High priest ( Jesus Christ ) never accept tithes? Will that be because He wasn't a Levites ?

Let us go back to our codified rules and the word ( The Bible ) .
Nehemiah 10: 37-39 ....
The Levites are descendant of Levi , the third son of Jacob by Leah .
The Levites were put in charge of the Tabernacle of Convenant .
They were responsible to stand guard around the Tabernacle . Numbers 3: 6, 9, 12 . clearly stated the aforementioned .
Levites are the chosen and the called , they were the first born of God among the Israel .
The positions the Pastors , General Overseers , Shepherds etc occupied today in our churches can be compare to the position of Levites in Israel let no one argue that .....
Levites are to stand guard around the House of God , they are to make offering and lead people to God .
Fathers of faith , do you know the cause of all these noise about tithes ? This is nothing but the fact that you have left your position to guard the Tabernacle .
You have failed to carefully treat the holy gift of the people of Israel the way it suppose to be treated .
You are presently treating the tithe as if they were common revenues to show ego and prove wealth and worth among yourselves .
My Daddies , don't get me wrong , I pay my tithes and will continually pay it , it is a way to divine financial prosperity and I will never ask how you administer my tithes . Though the word of God did not say if I fail to pay tithe I will die or go to hell fire , the answer is capital NO .... but the Bible says I will walk in divine prosperity if I pay my tithe which I strongly believe .

HOW TO ADMINISTER TITHES ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD ....
1- It can be administer as a sacrificial meal ....Deut 14:22-27 ....

2- It can be used for charity ....Deut 14:28 , 26: 12-15 ....

3- For Levites for their services ...Numbers 18: 21, 24 ...

Finally , as we are children to you my fathers , we all, including you fathers of faith in Nigeria , are sons to our father in heaven who is a rewarder of those who diligently seek and serve Him .
Do not deal proudly with this issue because of your brilliant knowledge of the word of God or your high spirituality ... Do not harden your necks and hearken not to the codified rules and word of God .
To my Fathers of faith and the leader of the ' new protestant ' church , know that , we are brothers in Christ Jesus . Let us abide in His love .
My Daddies , why must we neglect weightier matters of salvation because of money and pride .
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all .
My love be with you all in Christ Jesus .....
