2019: PDP Will Not Discriminate If Voted
2019: PDP’ll treat Nigerians equally, fairly if voted
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has promised that if elected in the 2019 presidential election, Nigerians will be treated equally, fairly and in a just manner in order to usher in peace and stability without using a sledge hammer to kill a fl y. National Caretaker Committee chairman, Senator Ahmed Makarfi , who made the remark yesterday in Abuja when the FCT PDP stakeholders paid him a courtesy visit, said “with peace and stability, foreign and domestic investments will grow while employment opportunities will be generated.” Makarfi also said it will welcome constructive criticisms and operate within the law in the conduct of the nation’s aff airs.
According to him, the party has come out of intensive care unit and is now under the observation unit. Makarfi said the observation was for the party to do a successful, transparent and open elective congress, “while the general ward is for the party to do a successful, transparent nomination process for the 2019 so as go back to the Presidential Villa.” He said: “PDP is now out of intensive care unit. It is now in the observation unit before being taken to general ward and then being discharged. Th e observation unit is to do a successful, open elective congress. “So, we must continue to do well to make sure that we are observed well, we must make sure that we dominate the general ward, that is where the vote will come, and of course, when we get to Aso Rock, as we do in national party not a conglomeration of associations, we have to govern and govern well. “We cannot pretend that we know everything. When we do wrong, we should accept in the interest of all and move on.”
