Nollywood actor’s IK Ogbonna’s wife, Sonia revealed recently that she was sick and tired of women who had personal insecurities.
The mother of one wrote;
“I’M SO SICK OF DOUBLE STANDARDS. Help me understand this please: so when a woman cheats on her man ,y’all don’t call a side dude “home breaker” and “wife snatcher”. Instead,wife is labeled as an irresponsible whore. When a man cheats on his woman,it’s not a man that you will blame. You justify his actions just because,(even though in most cases his married self is the one throwing bread at them babes) and it’s all “side chick’s” fault. She is the one you will abuse,insult and call names,”husband snatcher aka home breaker”..etc… I don’t get.. The most painful thing is, it’s WOMEN who support,accept and teach their daughters to live according such double standards,not even men sef. It’s your fellow lady that will call you names and point fingers at you. Stop shaming one another all in the name of idiotic competition based on jealousy and personal insecurities among women. YOUR MAN DOES NOT TREAT YOU RIGHT BECAUSE YOU SETTLED FOR IT AND ALLOWED IT ,NOT BECAUSE OF ANOTHER WOMAN. #soniaogbonna”

Well celebrated comedian, filmmaker and actor, AY Makun just had a street named after him. The street is on an estate he once lived in.
The excited entertainer announced this on his Instagram this morning.
 ”i have seen streets in our cities been named after many famous people from politics, to sports, and to other people who served or contributed to the social cultural development of our country in one way or the other. But i never knew that a day would come where i would be ‘famous’ enough to have a street named in my honour.
As i say a big thank you to the management of Haven Homes, i just want to use this same opportunity to charge lovers and followers of the AY brand up a little. My prayer is for everyone of you to be remembered and celebrated for something. Get off that bed this morning and infuse your life with action. Don’t wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope.Make your own love. And whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen…”

Ibikunle Amosun, a representative of the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. S. Ayorinde; Elders from the RCCG City of David Parish; A director of FCMB London, Mr Femi Bakare, family members Chief Mrs Mojisola Dokpesi, Kenny Ogungbe, ID Ogungbe; music stars, Essence, Joel Amadi; TV stars, Lolol 1, Lepacious Bose, Anita Joseph, and members of the New Anointing Revival Assembly Church, to which she is a pastor.
Speaking at the book launch, KSB said;
 ‘I am being overwhelmed with joy. When I started writing this book 2 years ago, I never envisaged it will be so openly received. This can only be God. We all love to see our dreams come to reality, but every dream carries its own peculiar challenge that can change, damage or even destroy it’s template. We all fight the wars of Why, When, Where, Who and How did our dreams get marred? We invariably get stuck, suffer setbacks and become fruitless and unproductive. The purpose of this book is to answer such questions, to reach out to people in Nigeria and around the world, especially the women out there, and to tell them that they can turn setbacks into great comebacks. To tell them that regardless of their current position, trials or difficulties, they can move from zero to being a hero. I have decided to share my story in this book, as a pointer to the fact that everything can be turned around for good.’
Here are photos from the event.
