Whatever becomes of Nigeria comes 2019, ask these two leaders.

 Obasanjo and Buhari

They were President Muhammadu Buhari and former President Olusegun Obasanjo. Both former heads of state who ruled Nigeria as maximum leaders in uniform. Obasanjo was head of state while Buhari was the Federal Commissioner for Petroleum. When Obasanjo came back in 1999, Buhari was not party to his coming and when Buhari wanted to come back in 2003, Obasanjo would not let him but instead retained his seat despite all the forces behind Buhari.
Obasanjo went further to frustrate Buhari's attempts in 2007 and 2011. He foisted the Presidency of the late President Umaru Yar Adua on the nation after the botched third term attempt which he continues denying but nobody believes him. But the President we had in 2011, Goodluck Jonathan parted ways with him and Obasanjo would not let him retain the seat. He teamed up with other forces who wanted Buhari at all cost and theyb pushed President Goodluck Jonathan out of power.
It is widely believed that the only thing that was against Jonathan the minority group he belongs. If he had been one of the majority tribes, he would have retained his seat. Those who unseated him are working hard to ensure they scatter his political empire and platform.
Unfortunate for the Buhari Presidency, the more they discredit the man they unseated the less they succeed and to compound their headache, they have not succeeded in bringing the economy out of the woods instead they have brought Nigeria into the economic recession which was a strange word in recent history. They have been assuring the people that the country would soon be out of it but the economists have been warning the people to get set for the worst.

All the promises made to turn Nigeria into a state of Eldorado have fallen on their heads. Instead, their policies are making life difficult for the masses and the elite. Nothing works again. Not a few people are disaapointed in the leadership style of Buhari. It is widely believed that the cold war between Buhari and the man who ochestrated his government, Senator Bola Tinubu is giving Obasanjo more opportunities to act as the godfather to the President.
But unlike Obasanjo that we all know, he has refused to say a word over the economic recession while his political godson has refused to address the nation on the way forward. This is why political observers are of the strong opinion that only Obasanjo and Buhari could decide how long Nigeria will stay in the economic recession.
