ASUU STRIKE: NANS Spits Fire

NANS Speaks on ASUU Strike

Press Release!!!
The office of the vice president special duties (NANS)  wishes to call on the federal Government Due to the indefinite strike embarked today the 14th day of August, 2017 by ASUU. We the Nigerian Students are calling on the Federal Government to be responsible, responsive and proactive in keeping to the agreement entered with the Lecturers since 2009. We call specifically on the Ag. President,  Prof. Osibanjo, minister of education Mallam Adamu Adamu  and very prominent Nigerians to be decisive in making sure that the strike does not last more than a week. In the same vain, we wish to plead with our Lecturers to always seek for dialogue as a tool for industrial harmony, since strikes are no longer fanciful. We also wish to plead that, ASUU should be considerate in allowing Universities already conducting Exams to conclude before joining the strike if the need be. But we wish to also draw the attention of our Lecturers to the fact that,  whenever it becomes inevitable for them to embark on strike,  it should be noted that all Non-NUC programs taught by relevant Lecturers should continue.
