COURT ORDERS NATIONAL ASSEMBLY TO BEGIN IMPEACHMENT PROCESS AGAINST BUHARI
A Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo has granted an order of mandamus to compel the National Assembly to begin impeachment process against President Muhammadu Buhari, based on some alleged constitutional breaches.

Justice Maureen Onyetenu gave the ex parte order on Wednesday, following a motion filed before her by the Chairman, Nigeria Bar Association, Ilesa branch, Mr. Kanmi Ajibola; and a human rights activist, Mr. Suleiman Adeniyi.
The activists had, about three months ago, written to the Senate and the House of Representatives to begin impeachment process against the President, based on the continuous killings and spending without lawmakers’ approval.

However, the duo approached the court seeking an order to compel the National Assembly to begin the process following their refusal to impeach Buhari based on the activists’ letters.

They alleged that the President did not possess a certificate to be qualified as a President and should be impeached based on this and other alleged impeachable offences.

The judge, in her ruling, granted the leave to compel the National Assembly to commence impeachment process against the President.

God's Discipline - Copeland

God's Discipline
For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

There's a terrible misunderstanding among believers today about God's method of disciplining His children. They'll point to some kind of disaster—a tornado or a car accident—and say, "I guess God sent that catastrophe to teach us something."

No, He didn't! A loving God doesn't send death and destruction on His children to instruct them. He doesn't unleash His bad dog to bite us on the leg, so we'll learn to wear our boots!

How does He chastise His own? With His Word.

Second Timothy 3:16-17 says, "Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness, (in holy living, in conformity to God's will in thought, purpose and action), so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work" (The Amplified Bible).

If you'll look in 2 Corinthians 7, you'll see an example of this. There the Apostle Paul talks about a situation in the Corinthian church that needed correction. That church had gotten out of line and had to be disciplined.

How did Paul do it? Not by asking God to send an earthquake to shake them up! He did it by writing them a letter. He wrote them a word of reproof that hurt so badly they would have preferred being beaten with a stick. It cut deep into their spirits and brought them to repentance.

Your heavenly Father loves you and because He does, He will chasten you. But He'll do it with spiritual, not fleshly tools. He'll use the spirit-power in His Word to chasten unbelief and purify your spirit in such a way that you'll come out strong, not weak and condemned.

So quit bowing down to disasters and start subjecting yourself instead to the Word of God. Yield to the Word. Let it correct you and trim away the flesh and the lusts that lead you astray. Remember, the sword of the Spirit is two-edged—one side is for Satan and the other side is for you. Let God use it to keep you in line!

SEEK GOD’S KINGDOM AND HE WILL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEMS
Are you troubled by many things today? For example, are you concerned about your rebellious teenager? Perhaps you see him as your problem, so you do your best to discipline him, only to end up with a heart full of worries and pain. And he is no better!

God says to you, “Don’t focus on controlling your rebellious teenager. Instead, seek first My kingdom, which is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Be conscious of the righteousness you have as a gift from My Son. Keep your inner man flowing with My peace and joy, and I will take care of your child.”

We tend to think that the people around us are the problem. When we don’t get the promotion we want, we blame our bosses and colleagues. When we lose our temper, we blame our wives and kids. However, God wants us to stop looking outside and to start looking within because His kingdom is within us. (Luke 17:21)

The abundance of the kingdom of God is already inside you. As you seek first God’s kingdom, and follow His righteousness, peace and joy, the abundance within you will flow out and become a reality in your circumstances. (Matthew 6:33) You will find that God has not only taken care of what is troubling you, but has also added blessings to you, be it a promotion, well-behaved kids or a loving wife.

“But Pastor Prince, how do I keep my inner man flowing with righteousness, peace and joy?”

Be conscious of your righteousness in Christ. Don’t be conscious of your sins and problems. Listen to anointed sermons that remind you of how righteous you are because of the perfect sacrifice of Christ. Peace and joy flow when you know that all your sins have been forgiven because of Jesus’ finished work.

So the next time something troubles you, don’t focus on correcting the problem. Instead, seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness. Make it a priority to have your inner man flowing with His peace and joy, and He will take care of that problem for you!

Fresh Attacks in Plateau State

FRESH ATTACK AND FARMED CROPS DESTROYED ON PLATEAU COMMUNITIES:
Last night, at about 2:45 AM of 1st July, 2018, Rahwol-Fwi popularly known as Mararaba Kantoma, a community in Fan District of  Barkin Ladi LGA was attacked by Fulani herdsmen. As a result, over six(6) persons have been confirmed dead, Baptism Church,  pastorium, Government Hospital and 17 houses razed down.
The attack lasted for almost an hour before the intervention of Nigeria military as narrated by an anonymous source from the affected community. The source also added that "when we were on surveillance, we saw Operation Safe Haven's Motorcycles riding from our interior bush towards Mararaba Kantoma, we concluded that the military is on patrol based on security information that Fan communities would be attacked. We never suspected them to be the attackers until when we saw a  private motorcycle called Bajjaj passed-by towards Mangu's  direction, then had a U-turn shortly after which the suspected military opened heavy gunfire at us. The attack became very tense when the gunmen advanced into the area and started setting buildings blaze and getting at us."
When further asked as to the response of security agents, he said, "we called severally but the security were not responding to our distressed calls until when the damage has been completed before they came." He added that "how will the security intervene on time when they might have known that it's their personnel who are on joint operation with Fulani herdsmen?" Now, there are high suspicions and tension that the safety of the locals is not guaranteed, going by the actual implementation of jihadist programs last night after a security information circulated widely that Fan District would be invaded by Fulani herdsmen architecturally front by Nigerian military.
In the same vein, it's reported that Jol community of Riyom LGA was greeted with another dark knight of farmed crops massive mowed down.
It's recalled that Jol has been at the front-burner of jihadist oppression in the recent times. For instance, the village has on daily basis been subjected not only to continued aggression of the military might of the Fulani herdsmen but also over 105 farmed crops were mowed down on 7th day of June, 2018, leaving the victims in a state of despair and hopelessness. Such a barbaric treatment has last night been visited on the locals of Vwak, Tanjol,Tarai, Danjol and Darin hamlets where over hundred farms were completely mowed down again.
The affected persons are crying aloud for aid as curfew declared appears to have given the herders an edge to continue their regular exercise of inhumanity.
Government and all relevant agencies including  Nongovernmental Organizations are implored to come to the aid of the oppressed farmers.

Buhari Should Stop Abusing Christian Leaders - Cleric

There is no word spares by President Buhari, a Muslim, using one Lauretta Onochie in abusing the Christian leaders. If it were to be a Christian President that is doing this to Muslim leaders, the whole country would have been on fire by now. Buhari should pedal it softly. We cannot be watching Christians being slaughter on daily basis and doing nothing serious to stop it and be expecting the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to be clapping for you. All CAN is asking from Buhari is protection of lives and property of the people under his watch irrespective of their religious, ethnic and political affliations. When will it become the turn of the UN Secretary General, the British House of Common, and the patriotic media house that have been calling on Buhari to stop the killings in the country?
It is a pity that Buhari who promised us protection is helpless in stopping those criminals among the Fulani herdsmen. I join our leaders like Cardinal Olubunmi Okogie in adking Buhari to resign if he cannot stop the killings. No right thinking person under the heart will be happy seeing people including women and children being slaughtered by the sacred cows of Buhari. CAN remains the umbrella body of Christians and there is nothing Buhari and his team can do to destroy it.

PDP Decries Borno Police Protest,
…Says Buhari Presidency Not Committed On Security

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described the street protest by police officers on duty in troubled Borno state, over unpaid allowances as unfortunate and an ugly epitaph of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress (APC) administration.

The party says the development has confirmed that the Buhari Presidency has not been committed to providing security for the troubled states, despite huge resources at its disposal, but has only been paying lip service and giving false assurances to the people.

Is it not disconcerting that policemen, who daily risk their lives at the fronts, are denied their allowances for months; left unaccommodated, without basic needs and kept forlorn in the face of battle, while their commander-in-chief and top officers enjoy the comfort of their huge offices in Abuja, from where they grandstand about their non-existent commitment to security?

Nigerians can now see that this administration is overtly deceitful, thrives on propaganda, lies, false claims and is never committed to the good of the people even as it blames everyone else for its failures.

The PDP strongly believes that the situation is more than has met the eyes. We therefore demand an urgent investigation to get to the root of this pathetic situation and stress that findings of such investigations must be made public.

Finally, while we urge the aggrieved policemen to exercise restrain, we charge the police high command to ensure their immediate payment and do all to restore the morale of all our men at the front.

PDP Expresses Worry Over Reported PVC Cloning

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has charged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to offer tangible explanation to Nigerians on how its Permanent Voter Card (PVC) allegedly became a commodity for sale online.

The PDP’s position is against the backdrop of apprehensions being expressed by Nigerians regarding possible insider compromises in INEC, particularly ahead of the 2019 general elections.

The PDP is seriously uncomfortable with the attempts by INEC to hurriedly wave off this very grave international embarrassment that goes to the heart of credible electioneering in our country.

We therefore call for a system-wide inquest into the matter, particularly to hedge our PVC and all other sensitive electoral materials from possible cloning.

We also urge Nigerians to continue to be at alert, especially as the All Progressives Congress (APC) is bent on using every means to compromise the election and subvert the will of the people in the coming elections.
