runtown
Fast rising act, Runtown has been dragged to court by his record lable Ericmany. The full press release from EricMany states:
A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has slammed an injunction against the rising musical artiste Douglas Jack-Agu aka “Runtown“. The injunction prevents him from performing at any event or any form of recording for the time being unless with the approval of Ericmany Limited.
Runtown is signed under the Ericmany Entertainment label that presently holds the copyright to all his music. He was sued in the Federal High Court by Ericmany on allegations that he signs up, concludes and attends musical shows without the knowledge of the label.
Ericmany Entertainment was said to have invested millions of naira on Runtown. However trouble started when Runtown apparently with the connivance of Bug Mediaran by one Bugwu Aneto began to sideline Ericmany and collected money directly for shows without the knowledge of Ericmany. Bug Media is also a party to the court case.
In another twist of events, the management of Ericmany has sacked the said Bugwu Aneto as General Manager of the company for infractions which might not be unconnected with his alleged connivance with Runtown to shortchange the Label Ericamany.
Our reporter learnt that all inquiries about the artiste and bookings for shows would no longer be through Aneto but through the management of Ericmany.
It is not clear how the young artiste is reacting to the court case and injunction. Observers suggest he was misled by Bugwu, the former General Manager of Ericmany to ditch his boss and benefactor Ericmany, and may now that the chips are down find ways to go back and reconcile with the Ericmany.
See below copies of the court injunction served to him:

Money Laundering: EFCC Confronts Ex-Gov Lamido with Myriad of Evidence

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 tendered a myriad of documentary evidence before Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja to further establish its claim on how the former Jigawa governor, Sule Lamido and his cohorts defrauded the State.
Lamido is being prosecuted alongside his two sons: Aminu and Mustapha and two others on a 27-count charge bordering on abuse of office and money laundering.
The other two on trial are; Bamaina Holdings Ltd and Speeds International Limited.
With prosecution witness, PW 18, Micheal Wetkas, in the witness box, counsel to EFCC, Chile Okoroma, presented bank payment vouchers of Dantata and Sawoe Construction Company Ltd, invoices of Bamaina Company Ltd, waybills/delivery notes of Bamaina Company Ltd, copies of cheques of millions of naira from various banks, in favour of Bamaina Company Ltd.
The documents were admitted as Exhibits EFCC 112(a-b), EFCC 113 (a-f), EFCC 113 (a-g), EFCC 114(a-e), EFCC 115(a-f), EFCC 116 (a-f), EFCC 117(a-g), EFCC 118(a-e), EFCC 119(a-g), EFCC 120(a-j), EFCC 121(a-g), EFCC 122(a-g), EFCC 123(a-f), EFCC 124(a-g), EFCC 125(a-g), EFCC 126(a-h), EFCC 127 (a-f) and EFCC 128(a-g). These represent documentation for sub-contracts allegedly carried out by Bamaina Holdings Ltd for Dantata and Sawoe Construction Company.
Justice Ademola, observed that, if the documents speak for itself, there was no reason for individual admission of each document in the open court as it was a painstaking process. He said that the witness' preliminary evidence laid the basis for their admissibility and requested that the prosecution make all the documentary evidence available to the defence for review in order to facilitate speedy progress on the case.
Responding, Chile Okoroma stated that the defense had insisted on individual admission of evidence, at a previous sitting, so that exhibit numbers would be assigned and context of the evidence would be established.
Defense counsel, Joe Agbi, SAN, earlier represented by Offiong Effiong Bassey Offiong, SAN, had complained that the documents were arranged in no particular order, and had to be front loaded by the prosecutor before being admitted in evidence.
Documents further admitted in evidence were; a letter of proposal for supply of consumables to Dantata and Sawoe Construction Company Ltd from Speeds International Ltd, bank payment vouchers of Dantata and Sawoe Construction Company Ltd, invoices of Speeds International Ltd, waybills/delivery notes of Speeds International Ltd, copies of cheques of millions of naira from various banks, in favour of Speeds International Ltd. The documents were admitted as Exhibits EFCC 129, EFCC 130(a-f), EFCC 131(a-f), EFCC 132(a-f), EFCC 133(a-f), EFCC 134(a-f), EFCC 135(a-f), EFCC 136(a-f), EFCC 137(a-f),  EFCC 138(a-f), EFCC 139(a-f), EFCC 140(a-f), EFCC 141(a-f), EFCC 142(a-f), EFCC 143(a-f), EFCC 144(a-f), EFCC 145(a-f), EFCC 146(a-d), EFCC 147(a-f), EFCC 148(a-f), EFCC 149(a-f) and EFCC 150(a-f).
Realizing that further admission of documentary evidence in this manner was indeed strenuous, counsel agreed to sort through further documentary evidence and admit them in bulk.
The case has been adjourned to June 1, 2016 for continuation of trial.

TOTAL SURRENDER IS TOTAL TRUST- Right From the Heart Devotion

"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them and cast them into the fire and they are burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you."
- John 15:4-7
In the eyes of the world, to surrender is humiliating. In the eyes of the world, to surrender is to lose. In battle, it is bad when the more powerful side causes the other side to wave the white flag. So, in the world’s eyes, surrender is often deeply resented. But here’s the irony and the paradox of the Christian faith. Surrender is the beginning of the victorious Christian life! When we realize how much God loves us and how He shows us that love by what Christ has done – literally dying in our place on the cross, paying the penalty for all our sins – past, present and future – and then rising from the dead…we are convicted of our sinfulness. And when we’re convicted of our sin, we can finally surrender our lives to our Lord and give Him all that we have. We give Him all of our desires, our goals, our dreams, our priorities, and our possessions. Then, and only then, do we begin the first and most important step in the victorious Christian life. It begins with surrender, and what we have that is not surrendered to Christ is worthless to the Kingdom of God. Worthless!
So, how do we surrender?
  1. Spend time alone with Him and study God’s Word. We meditate on His teachings and in doing so, we learn more about God’s will in our lives. We pray to discover His will, not to tell God what we want!
  2. We abide in Him daily. In other words, we stay close to God every day, trusting and obeying Him.
  3. Commit to a local church to worship, serve and have fellowship with other believers.
  4. Then we share our faith with others through words and deeds, which is fully Christ’s mission for the church. This type of surrender equals total trust, which leads to ultimate meaning and purpose of life.

Ben Bruce barred from greeting Buhari in Presidential Villa

ben murray-bruce
The senator representing Bayelsa East Senatorial district, Ben Murray Bruce has revealed how he was barred from exchanging pleasantries with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa on Monday by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS). Bruce said he had joined his colleagues to a dinner to mark the 2016 democracy day, but was not allowed access to the president, unlike other senators who were allowed to meet with Buhari.
“I was at the Presidential villa today. Went to the President’s table. DSS wouldn’t allow me greet him but let another Senator greet him,” he tweeted.
“My critics say I shouldn’t criticize the president openly, so I go and meet him one on one and I’m blocked. Am I not a Nigerian citizen?
“If PMB’s handlers selectively block access to him, he runs the risk of being surrounded only by sycophants!
“I have nothing against the President; however, nobody is too important not to be criticized and my mouth will never be silenced!”
Few hours before the villa incident, he tweeted: “It’s ‘fantastically corrupt’ that Nigeria maintains a 10 plane Presidential fleet whereas the PM of a rich nation like UK flies commercial!”
DAILY POST

‘LORD, I CANNOT, BUT YOU CAN!’- Joseph Prince

Philippians 2:13
for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
ribbon end

Have you ever tried to break a bad habit on your own? You probably found that when you tried to stop it by sheer willpower, you saw improvement for a while, and then bounced back to square one. Worse, you found yourself binging on the very thing that you were trying not to do. And your condition is worse than before you started your “I’m going to quit” program!
The changes were temporary because it was you doing it.
A church member who had been a chain-smoker used to believe that with willpower, he could quit smoking. He would tell himself, “If there is a will, there is a way!” But he discovered that with willpower, he could stop smoking for a week or two, and then he would succumb to the pull of nicotine again.
When he turned his life over to God and learnt about God’s grace, he told God, “I realize that I cannot stop smoking. I cannot, but You can break my habit, Lord.” And every time he lit up, he would say, “Lord, I am trying to stop smoking, but I cannot. I am trusting You.” He would even say, “I am still righteous because of Jesus’ blood.”
Well, in the very same year, all his cravings to smoke vanished! When asked how he succeeded, he would say, “It is entirely God and none of me! It is all by His grace.” This man lost all the desire to smoke. That is true transformation.
When you receive the grace of God to do for you what you cannot do, you will experience effortless and permanent change on the inside, which in turn changes your actions on the outside. The Bible tells us that God works in us to give us both the will and ability to perform what He desires. It is God who removes the old want to’s and gives us new ones. And He even gives us the power to carry them out!
Beloved, look to His grace to do what you cannot do. Say, “Lord, I cannot, but You can!” Then, what you experience will not merely be behavior modification, but true and lasting inward transformation!
